As a lover of chaos dwarfs and kharadron, I'm hoping for Big Hat evil Kharadron who instead of using flying machines focus on railways. Like say an old karak that survived the age of chaos and harnesses aether/souls for evil railway tycoon shenanigans. The look being the opposite yet similar to KhO, instead of steampunk its clock punk with an emphasis on the use of demonically possessed automatons (like a hybrid of the kaidai and centaurs), bionics (due to magic turing them to stone/crystal), slaves, and trains. Unlike KhO and more inline with chaos, they gave a focus on melee but with reasonable ranged capability similar to old dwarfs but also are deceptively mobile with the trains. The main named character is a dark reflection of Brok Grundson complete with a comically oversized hat but very much a railway/steel magnate.

Well, there was that one missing sky port called Barak-Zhoff mentioned back in first & second edition, so it's possible you might get your wish in some shape or form.

Alright! New siege rules! This goes perfectly with my planned “Fell Forge of Hashut” and “Church of The Great Jackal” sorry ideas. Thanks GW, I owe your rules team big time.

If the 500 White Dwarf secret they keep "close to their chest" isn't a Grombrindal model, I will be very dissapointed.

What if the 500 reveal is the launch of two new dawi factions and a wave two for every other dwarf in the franchise?

Hey, the manga is not all about ultraviolence and nudity. And it's a major inspiration for dark fantasy that came after... including Warhammer apparently. But we'll never know until GW tells us so, which will never happen.

Indeed, Berserk is a story about the inner-darkness of mankind, the road to redemption and recovery after trauma, and the indomitable spirit needed to confront a world ever sliding into evil and depravity..... hidden behind a massive amount of ultra violence and nudity.

    Squeeee!

That could be glorious. All in Venetian-style carnival masks, perhaps, and flamboyant outfits. Love it. It'd get me into Warcry instantly!

personally, I'm thinking "The Greatest Show" mixed with the Prince Ali scene from Disney's Aladdin and the debauchery of New Orleanian Mardi Gras.

Well there goes my food budget for the month. Luckily nothing FOMO in terms of release but I really want to get that Cities Spearhead and the Saviours of Cinderfall set.

Honestly barring another Necrolith Bone Dragon nothing currently on preorder/preview has been worth it imo (or is already sold out), so I should be fine.

Slaaneshi realm-specific cultists would complete* the Old Four treatment, but I genuinely await more wacky ones, like human cultists of the Great Horned Rat (who doesn't care about them, but they still bring ruination in its name).

    * Not for me. I want a smorgasbord of Chaos cults (multiple, more than the approaches so far!) from each and every realm.

I personally hope that the slaaneshi-warband (if/when it's released) is a literal tropes of killer-acrobats. Slaanesh seems to have largely taken over Nurgle's old Carnival shtick, so let's get some daemonic trapezes up and going! Otherwise, let's use Warcry like GW used Underworlds and Killteam: a testing ground/expansion for sub-factions and cool ideas.

the Millennium Eye plays a large part in my story since the main characters are ritually blinded in order to properly serve the local Sun-Goddess and her mortal descendants.dao9ntm-9db22806-77f5-4629-b10f-6e4f187d910f.jpg.d2f016d2c19a199187bf4cb4372c6f72.jpg

From those leaks, it looks like the Darkoath are now their own full-fledged faction. (The third in the Slaves to Darkness)

I suppose we should have seen it coming since they already had two hero units. (The Warqueen and the Champion). I am guessing that means we should probably keep an eye out for any future models for the Legion of the First Prince. The gnomes were a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

    The new Darkoath look phenomenal.

Also, this whole thing reminded me of a comment of mine from some weeks ago where I remarked that the Darkoath seems to have completely overtaken the "barbarous" Conan-esque aesthetic for themselves. And Whitefang reacted to it. Man, we really should have seen this coming.

The way I'm seeing interpreting this post is that we have Darkoath, who are the "normal" mortals of the realms and the Norsca/Hung stand ins of the setting, complete with marauders, horses, and various chaos-aligned beasts. Next, we have the classic Warriors of Chaos range largely refreshed, complete with Archaon leading them, filling out the role of "standard army" for Chaos Undivided. Be'lakor and his Legion of The First Prince (plus war cry cults) are the, to borrow a term I am uncomfortable with for a variety of reasons, "terrorists/axis of resistance" of the realms: they don't bow to Sigmar & Co, and are largely influenced by foreign entities without actively being linked to them.

Yeah, StD got a lot of fat basically. Plenty of pretty useless units that serve little purpose, kinda like SCE. I figure the Warcry will really just stay as extra units to collect but Darkoath are probably going to be more like the marauders of old; a viable second branch. I hope that‘s it now for StD though; other armies need stuff more.

I like what they‘re getting though! While I‘ll always be a fan of heavy armor in StD, these new models look really good.

It's like GW heard every complaint about Chaos and Death armies back in Fantasy and decided "Nope, not going through that again." Most of the war cry bands are sadly just gimmick troops (Spire Tyrants) or teasers of things to come for other factions(Cypher Lords+Splintered Fang=Slaanesh and Tzeentch aesthetic, Horns of Hashut for chorfs, etc). With that said, I truly love 95% of the war cry bands if for nothing else then that they are a proper testing ground for new styles and help make the realms feel more "lived in."

In regards to the new dark oath units, much like @MitGas and many others I find myself loving what we have seen so far. The mixture of bronze and iron armor, oath stones, and general "barbarian" imagery makes them feel like the true starting point for chaos worship in the mortal realms. I'm curious as to whether or not the new horsemen are a dual build (melee or ranged), and whether or not what has been "previewed" is all that we're getting, but for now I will gladly wait until the next reveal for more information!

Looks like a cleric beast minotaur... at this point I'm convinced the design studio plays Fromsoft games.

They’d be fools not to, Fromsoft makes good games. Hell, the book I’m trying to write is primary based on a mixture of Ancient Egypt, Feudal Japan, and Fromsoft+Yugioh’s aesthetic choices.

FS do have variety and diversity.

There's naked dwarves with axes and ginger beards.

    and

There's ginger bearded axe wielding dwarves with no clothes on.

    What more do you want?

To be fair to the Fyreslayers, they're also the only Warhammer Fantasy/AOS/Bloodbowl faction to actually have female dwarf models in their range.

Why is there no hate reaction? Your post deserves it! This hurt my soul.

Sorry @MitGas, I'd back you up but barring Injustice 2 the only fighting arcade game I've played is Street Fighter, and even then I'm basic as all get out.

    OK, guys...

I can confirm that skavens are on their way I've just seen a photo of sprue that someone received by mistake.

This sprue contains some sort of multi-barrelled cannon (6 to be precise), with a single wheel, a pilot, a gunner and at least four ground servants (I assume they're pushing or manipulating something on this engine). There are two spheres, one of which is attached to a large pipe. The chassis of the machine is made of wood.

The photo isn't accurate enough to make out the date, but the guy said it’s marked 2024 on the sprue. For now, we're waiting for his agreement to publish the photo and a more precise version to get all this information.

Cheer up, @Skreech Verminking, @Garrac : the wait is coming to an end !

@Draznak could you send this via PM? Also, does your source know anything regarding chorfs?
