  1. I just want to see the K’daai and Bull centaurs on the tabletop. Though I won’t lie and say that the daemon trains don’t speak to the three year old inside me who still loves Thomas The Tank Engine.
  2. Out of curiosity, if TOW were to have “upgrade” kits for certain units, are there any specific ones that would be worth it? Personally I’m hoping we get chaos god specific weapons, heads, and shields like in Total War’s Chaos Champions DLC.
  3. Normally I'd spam a "LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!!" comment, but as we've recently seen it looks like my tomb will be relatively spruced up soon. Now is the time for people such as @Public Universal Duardin, @Clan's Cynic, @Beliman, and @Snorri Nelriksson, who have patiently sat on the sides and grumbled relatively quietly as elgi, umgi, grobi and other wazzocks have gotten massive updates. Give us new dwarfs/duardin GW, even if they're corrupted.
  4. Since I encouraged the creation of this thread, I shall now submit my potential Seraphon army's lore: a constellation attempts to harness the power of Lunaghast and the Necroquake, and is driven insane by the secrets revealed to them.
  5. No one’s created the new Seraphon thread yet, it’ll probably be up next week via @Gaz Taylor or @DinoJon depending on who has the time.
  6. Lord Croak is exempt from kneeling due to both his anatomy and the fact that he has interred with The Usurper plans in both the Old World and the Mortal Realms. All Settra would ask/demand is that he lowers his palanquin in His presence.
  7. I'd argue the fat salamander is the "worst" sculpt of the new bunch. Other than that my top three are The Second Best Mummy in Warhammer (first being Settra or Khalida) Lord Croak, The Oldblood on Aggradon, and the Kroxigor Warspawned.
  8. As a scion of LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! I will trust the words of the venerable representative of the jungle tribes @DinoJon in his assessment.
  9. So…. What are the odds that we’re going to see a lot of lists that will spam the heck out of those two abilities?
  10. Tomb guard, the sphinx kit, necropolis knights, Chorfs…. The list goes on and on and on!!!!
  11. I think we'll get a pretty good view of what GW has planned for TOW in less than two weeks from now. Warhammerfest has a confirmed slot for both Horus Heresy and The Old World on Sunday at 2pm, odds are whatever reveals and teasers we get during said event will blow every conspiracy we currently have out of the water. Until this occurs, I'm going to get back to studying for my Human Anatomy exam.
  12. I for one, will be going the celestial daemon-lizard route for the most part. There's just something about the glowing eyes thing they have going that speaks to my soul.
  13. BY LONG LOST NEHEKHARA NOOOO!!! I CANNOT RESIST THE DINOSAWS!!!!
  14. I think the Soulblight vanguard set/start collecting should also work just fine in TOW, since it's mainly updated model kits of things that already existed in Fantasy.
  15. When they say an upgrade sprue, do they mention which unit is getting upgraded? I assume Tomb Guard but I'll just keep hoping for an actual new unit of plastic Tomb Kings. Either way, I am very happy if the rumor of old Tomb Kings kits getting remade is true, as it opens the door for me to build the army of my dreams and the potential return of Chorfs (legion of Azgorh).
  16. My money’s now on either Empire vs Empire, Empire vs TK, or Kislev vs Cathay as an option for the starter box. Honestly I hope Kislev is the second faction created/upgraded after Tomb Kings, as I’m a sucker for Bears.
  17. I'd stay out of there for a bit, we're mostly just grumbling about base sizes and new vs old models for the time being.
  18. As long as I can get a hold of at least three Necrosphinx kits, I do not really mind the wait for new kits. Have you guys and gals seen how much TK stuff goes for? I could by actual relics from Egypt at lower costs.
  19. @The Lost Sigmarite, it looks like you chose the right profile pic because that is genius! Chaos Elves should make a comeback, after all the chorfs need a foe worthy of their stunted glory. Slaanesh clearly has a Middle Eastern/Indian Circus theme going on, so why not include murder clowns?
  20. Since we're speculating about war cry war bands, I hope for the following: Slaaneshi Acrobat cultists like the one girl from the Underworlds warband. Clans Eshin triad Maneaters or Suneater Ogors Fyreslayer prospectors. Kharadron Indiana Jones style "architects." Spookier Idoneth (maybe shark/abyss theme?). Ossiarch animal-scouts Nighthaunt musicans/funeral procession Goblind/spider hybrids.
  21. "After calling out Radukar’s colossal failure at Ulfenkarn during a rare visit to her clan’s conclave, Ivya offered a solution. She would use her bats to spy out nexuses of power upon which the dynasty could lay the foundations of a new, even greater city of death. Now the armies of the Vyrkos jockey to establish their new capital, with Ivya marching at their head." this sounds so perfect for hero-heavy SBGL force where they all bicker and fight. maybe even painting each section of the army to one hero's colors? really nice fluff to fit a loner into an army that is essentially 'family' run I really like the narrative of the Soulblight dynasties going out and establishing new cities on sites do magical power. It matches the current narrative of most armies but at the same time reminds us the Death armies are still major players in the narrative, regardless of Nagash and his current condition.
  22. Hmmm….. on the one hand I do like the new Wolf-girl hero and the vanguard…. On the other hand my pile of shame is almost as big as the dunes of LONG LOST NEHEKHARA!!! …… I’ll leave it up to God and my wallet.
  23. I think that ultimately, TOW and it’s growth will be decided by two things: the rules and the models. Despite what certain groups online say, the announcement of TOW has largely been met with approval: I know for a fact that this community was hyped on the rumour thread when the news came out. Change will always be met with resistance, just look back to when Guilliman and 8th of 40K came and threw the galaxy into turmoil for proof (or more appropriately, The End Times and AOS’ launch). What made these changes bearable to the community at large? The new models. Yes, we all love to bash the Primaris, but do you hear many complaints about the Death Guard? Or what about when the Hedonites range was announced? And do I need to bring up the glory of the Kharadron Overlords and The Leagues of Votann? The ranges speak for themselves. From what we’ve seen of the new models for Bretonnia and The Tomb Kings, I genuinely believe that TOW will have some wonderful kits, and can’t wait to see what GW comes up with for the “new” factions like Kislev and Cathay. TOW will live and die by its models and rules, much like any other game. Who cares about the complainers, gatekeepers, and PC-Gamers when the first rule of Warhammer is to have fun?
