Had to go back and check you are in fact talking about the Dark Elves with the easiest access to a 2+ armor save dragon who can also get a 5+ ward against weak attacks and a 4+ ward against anything that could actually hurt him (pendant of Khaelith which btw is only 10 points more than the standard 5+ ward magic item that literally everyone is taking)
So if a wood elf character takes the bow of Loren (counts as an asrai longbow, number of shots equal to the attacks characteristic) and then takes the swiftshiver shard enchanted arrows for "Multiple shots (2)" does it make 2 shots for every attack it has on its profile?
Anyone smarter than me explain what happens when a unit is joined by a character who has terror? The rule clearly states it doesn't make them immune to terror but do they still cause it when they declare a charge or get charged? If so is it the characters unit strength or the units? The book clearly says characters unit strength is added to the unit but it doesn't state vice versa for this particular example.
Firstly I love the project. Secondarily because I made a similar conversion before (using blood bowl skaven with Skitari bits) I have a mostly unused sprue of skitarri ruststalkers (I used the rat bodies and heads so it's missing some weapons and little tech bits) as well as plenty of IoB clan rats and id love to sell them to someone with a plan for them. If you're interested PM me. And I look forward to seeing what you do with all this!
I wonder what that means for beastmen. The only army to NOT get an army spread page with everyone else. Probably just forgot about us (or copium they're planning a big release for 2nd edition Old world in 5 years T_T)
Queek was amazing "what's a clouds... I bet I can kill it!" On top of him yes having an actual friend (technically a whole friend group if you count his semi psychic trophy rack). I may never get around to my skaven project of shame but if I do it will be to convert a queek verminlord warbringer and a unit of stormvermin "scartails".
This is about the same to me. I'm not in a position to replace my largest army all because GW wants them to look different.
Edited before being qouted: That's not entirely true. A StD style update is not the same as being squatted even if I couldn't buy what I wanted right away. As long as it was StD style where you can get away with mostly old sculpts and not a COMPLETE removal of old models for new as suggested. As long as we exist in the lore in a meaningful way I'm happy I suppose but I will be more or less happy depending hah.
I'm American so forgive this question but if I want to avoid rebasing my gors from 32s to 25s what size "25mm movement tray" would I need for say a unit of 20?
You sir are a scholar and a gentleman! I'm going to wait until I can build a list before committing to base options but you're doing the lords work (or actually GW's work. Ask for a check!)
I actually didn't mean to phrase that as a doom post. I expect TOW to succeed well enough but I don't think I could find a game of say titanicus or necromunda (which I'm to understand is actually quite successful) in my area and I'm hardly in the middle of nowhere so for me PERSONALLY sending beasts to TOW exclusive is the same as squatting them.
Unfortunately as a Cynic I can definitely see it. I mean they don't have to support them beyond one plastic kit for a side game and call it a "good job". Think how many release windows they can open for another starter set full of stormcast!
Meanwhile if the TOW gets the amount of love and effort it seems it will the game will die and it won't be their fault when beasts are accidentally squatted along with it.
