  1. No warchanter? Bold of you to leave 2 waaaagh points on the table. I think you have to sneak a wardok in too. d6+3 is preferable to just a straight d6.
  2. Not many of our units actually do anything with bravery. We have like 1 spell that reduces it by a little bit, we have our endless spell that can reduce it. I'm struggling to find much else debuffing, and even then a good chunk of armies have bravery 7-10, we end up jumping through hoops to do d3 mortal wounds. We end up having to essentially double cast some of our spells for meager effects. Make the spells actually spicy, which should include caster bonuses or something. Something I'd maybe try with the keeper's spell. It's boring, and it's awful. It's been bad forever. Maybe we can try to do something to spice it up. Cacophonic Choir: Cv 6. Roll 2d6 against each enemy unit within 9", adding 4 if the casting roll was a 9+ (Or perhaps +4 to the roll if the unit is within 3" as the keeper is scary to behold). If you meet or exceed their bravery, that unit takes d3 mortal wounds, and 1 more mortal wound for each point you beat it by.
  3. Please no “roll against bravery” checks. They are awful and outside of fighting destruction it does nothing. Make them go off on a 4+ and a 2+ for the masque.
  4. Watched a stream tonight and may I introduce to you the CHADLIEST wizard of all? it’s the maw krusha. What you may ask? take arcane tome. He becomes a wizard. So what you may say. So he can mystic shield? And sure. For the first turn it happens he gets stuck in. But he can’t fight his way out! The solution: foot of gork. But that’s casting value 10! How can you manage that? Take a look at the command trait for Ironjaw Wizards. We’re taking the first option. Do some mortal wounds and then get juiced. On the turn he’s stuck in and can’t leave. We can get some foot of gork with some buffs. Throw in a rogue idol or play big waaagh for some additional casts. Just stomped on that wizard on that arcane? It’s yours now. When it all goes right, you could have a +6 to cast. Foot of gork would go off on a 4+. Just smash your way out of combat with a giant foot. Then teach those peasants.
  5. That's my thought too on how it might work, but unfortunately needs an faq to be sure. I'll have to ask my opponent on how we want to rule it.
  6. So what I'm now hearing is All out Attack and All out Defense wouldn't work with megaboss as the trigger conditions are different. Could you give all out attack to a unit that isn't fighting yet from this ability? Faqs are needed.
  7. Venom encrusted needs the Orruk keyword though as well, which it lacks. It's only getting mighty destroyers here.
  8. I like them at 5 a piece. I personally do not like ardboyz as they don't fit our aesthetic of the army. They look old. They are fine to be back of the board objective holders. Or they just run to objectives. Brutes and the mawkrusha are meant to be the core stomping of the army.
  9. So with the Orruk book finally being leaked for all the world to see, it definitely feels out book maybe was made for third after all. Both 3rd edition books really take away what the subfactions bring, leaving only a single buff. Even other allegiance abilities went away and moved to command traits or are just gone. we just have a bit more CT/Artifacts than normal. Obviously the style is of a second edition book. For example, stormcast do not just natively get -1 to hit anymore when they drop down from the heavens. That's a command trait that does it. Ironjaw players used to enjoy being able to fight by using Mighty Destroyers, a free +1 to charge, and a once per game +1A. The fighting in hero phase is gone, the charge is gone, and the +1A is gone and replaced with a once per game +1 Charge and an increase of rend by 1. Some rather big changes! What this could look like in a future Slaanesh book would likely mean vastly decreased artifact choice. Ironjawz alone used to have 9 artifacts, down to 3 (megaboss only). Had 9 traits, down to 5 (3 for megaboss, 2 for shaman). spells went from 6 each for bonesplittaz and ironjawz, down to 4 each. If they decided to keep the 3 subfactions and keep the benefits minimal, we might be fine in that regard since most of faction buffs still don't apply much to us. I would expect fewer spells, but hopefully more useful spells since our lore is quite the stinker outside the healing spells. Warscrolls seemed fairly bare with not too much going on at times. Felt a lot what we saw in our warscrolls with just how barren they are. Overall: I could see us getting a tome Celestial and calling it there for a long time. Warscrolls are fine (sans slaangor), just an update on perhaps some core stuff and that could be it.
  10. Mawkrusha is down 15, warchanters down 5, ardboyz down 10 each while Brutes up 10. In modern points its Maw Krusha 480 Warchanter 115 Warchanter 115 15 brutes 480 15 brutes 480 5 brutes 160 ard boyz 85 Ard boyz 85 Comes to 2000 on the nose.
  11. Brutes list I came up with. It’s 2k on the dot. didn’t change equipment, but riptoof fist mawkrusha. The 15 man squads are wielding pole arms. amulet on mawkrusha. Probably wizard book as a second artifact. All the units get shoved into hunters of the heartland.   12. The more I think about it, the more I love our book. There's a lot of great in here. I wish artifacts were more exciting. My personal belief is the book options should be better than the universals, and I don't think that's the case here.
  13. 3 Maw krushas, riptoofs 2 warchanters 2 ardboyz 1 brute get an extra artifact and your 3 mawkrusha pretty much always fight in at a 2+ save
  14. I’ll have to make some lists but I’m feeling most of my lists didn’t change. I barely got to use the waaagh for +1 attack, let alone +2 attacks. I need to bring back my foot boss it seems. Sucks that big waaaagh nerfed. It would’ve been nice if each faction had a 1 in 4 bring one of the other clans with.
  15. It was the new style. Had only one weapon line. But the combat profile was the middle weapon.
  16. Maybe Ironclad changes to a 3+ base? I'd love for more choices in the book to allow for more meaningful decision making. 2/6 interesting traits is just poor design. Same goes with artifacts. When most aren't looked at, then they need to reassessed. We have amulet of destiny and make someone a wizard are artifacts everyone can take. Artifacts have to be better than that. GW should design the books to encourage pure book usage.
  17. Who knows, could be some rule of battleshock immunity if they are in combat. Its super weird for orcs who like to fight, get into the fight and suddenly flee because they took a casualty.
  18. For the record, I hope the ardboyz are misprint. Though I'm surprised at how much vitriol I've gotten thrown my way on the different social media for just posting this.
  19. It was the new box. New style and everything. It’s just one weapon type no matter if you go two weapons or big weapon. also it’s hard to open a first edition box when I saw them take it out of their shipping box and go “oh new red boxing!” I’ve been in the hobby when they were in their old box, then the super boring all white box. also in new boxes, weapons aren’t named. It’s just pictures of what they look like.
  20. I decided this morning that I was going to paint Belakor and knocked him out in one day. super please with how he came out.
  21. I was at my local games workshop, I asked if we could look at it. Manager was interested as he plays ironjawz as well so he was game to open his ardboy box. I looked at it and pulled up the app to check the differences. I obviously can't take a picture as it was in the store with their employee standing over me.
