Movement trays

Recommended Posts

I've seen a few people use them especially army's with a high model count like "GHOUL PATROL". It's OK for moving the model around but the second that you get in to combat piling in becomes an issue also your models position is dictated by the movement trays shape.

Lots of people do MDF movement trays and you can them on ebay etc.

I attached small neodymium magnets to the bases of my Skinks and then got some magnetic foil and glued it to a thin hard foam plate.
That way they can stay on the tray in the formation I like, and once melee starts I just pull it away from underneath them.

It was pretty easy to do an I like it so far.

I'm not fond of them, but they do speed up games with horde-armies.In addition to the miniatures, I've also magnetized the trays themselves, so that I can quickly summon 10 skeletons out of the bag. I remove the bases after the first pile-in/first few movements.

(I got my mdf-trays from war-bases.co.uk)
