TerrorPenguin
Death Battalions : I'm trying to decrease the number of drops in an army list . Outside of FEC and Legion of Death, are there any good death Battalions? In case anyone else is about to pay £1.50 for neferatas blood court, it doesn't have points Roll on the soul blight and death rattle battletomes .... TerrorPenguin
I take it none of the batallions in the start collecting boxes have points?
Malakithe
None of them do. They aren't even in the app either. Legion and FEC is all there is right now.
Elgard
Actually there are two more. One of which is not in the app but is Pitched-Battle-valid and is called Deathrattle Horde. It is consisted of the same units as Legion of Death and it exchanges the +1 model to the banners regeneration if you are withing 9'' from the Wight King with the re-roll saves of 1 as long as there is another unit from the formation within 6"" . Though it is NOT highly recommended, unless you are up against a non-rending army ( since your battalion is mostly consisted of 5+ and 6+ saves - asumming you are not using a mystic shield spell to fix that ) where you shall utilise save rolls. It is worth 60 GH points and can be found on page 151 in General's Handbook. There you can also find the Charnel Pit Carrion which is worth 80 points and can be found in the Age of Sigmar app as well.
Squirrelmaster
There's also a couple of Tomb King battalions, the Tomb Legion looks like it could be pretty good, especially combined with a Royal Warsphinx general. The Royal Legion of Chariots looks a bit "meh" to me. Just a shame most of the models have been discontinued…
