Bat Swarm Summon Size

A quick question about bat swarms.

According to the official profile, bat swarms have a unit size of any number, and the "Summon Bat Swarms"  spell says that it sets up a unit of three bat swarms.

However, according to its General's Handbook profile, bat swarm units are set up in increments of two.

What gives? If I summon bat swarms, how many do I place?

It's 80pts for 2 bases.

More accurately, you set up 3, but pay for 4.

So, if you're playing matched play and using matched play points, then the min size unit over rides the warscroll description on unit size. The summon rule says "up to 3" so setting up only 2 is acceptable and in match play is the min unit size. So you reserve 80 points in summoning and you can fulfill the summoning of 2 bat swarm models compliant with matched play and the summoning rule.

You can definitely choose to summon 2, for 80pts.

Arguably you could choose to instead summon 3 for 160pts (as an "under-strength" unit). That's probably not worth it, though.

U can summon up to 3. Match play did not overwrite the warscroll. It put in a formula for your pts calculation.

putting 1-2 model pay 80, put 3 pay 180. 

And you can always choose put only 2. And pay 80. Nth wrong with that.
