Sadysaneto
Do all units in a batallion need to "walk together", or any unit in a batallion can move to a different point in the table and still get the batallions bonuses?
WillofNagash
There are no movement restrictions unless stated on the warscrolls, something like "get bonus X if within 6" of another unit from the battalion. A battalion can be deployed as one unit, but Otherwise they are all treated as separate units. So no they don't move together, unless you make them move together. Hope that answers your question. RossMHoward
I think you're reading two much into this. The word unit is probably used to define a collection of items that form a single entity. Rather than a Unit or Squad in real game terms.
Sadysaneto
ok, but batallion's bunuses only apply to the batallion's units, right? Eg. - The batallion scroll says that all grots get +1 to hit on shooting phase. This would only apply to grots in the batallion, right?

Dangermouse425
3 hours ago, Vermin said: WHAT?! This changes everything! It doesn't actually say that "a battalion can be deployed as one unit", so don't get too excited. It says "you can set up all of the units in a battalion, instead of a single unit". Battalions not only grant you bonuses, but also make your deployment more efficient. They don't grant the ability to make one big super unit with all the units combined! As to the OP, it's already been noted, but there are no requirements to maintain coherency or travel in the same direction. The only constraints are, as @WillofNagash says, some rules require you be within a certain proximity for them to work.
