Fangs of the Leviathan - Wendigo themed Slaanesh army

Most would never consider the eroding of self as the ultimate reward, but for those who aspire to become an Amalgamatron it is their single minded goal. Unlike Wendigors who have no mind left, the Amalgamatrons still possess some sense of who they once were - and this consciousness gives them a tactical edge, but also makes them far more likely to devolved into a tangle of nerves or explode into a tree of bones as the process of transformation is experimental at best.

Based off the twin souls ritual, the Leviathan conceived a modification. Being unable to tolerate the presence of a neverborn in one of their children, but understanding the usefulness of these troops, they devised a mechanism to depart small amounts of their own consciousness into their mortals. Through the vile creation of an underdeveloped fetus produced by Mother and the process of unbirthing, the prospective Amalgamatrons feel their thoughts and bodies merge with the parasite that lives inside of them. If they do not expire during the process of the fetus merging with their innards, their head explodes into a skull similar to that of their ‘god’; in the final transformation they must display incredible willpower for their brains to not shrivel away to a tangle of veins and to devolve fully into a Wendigor.

If they survive the process, they are reborn as an amalgamation between themselves and Skallindara - an unstable being that possesses incredible physical prowess and strong procognesense when communicating with their Mother. They are considered the most blessed of the Fangs, revered amongst their peers, but often unaware of this reverence as when not in combat, they spend their time within their shared mind.

Even those who join the cult for power attempt this ritual, seeing it as an easy way to be met with strength and worship. These are the most likely to devolve within the already extremely dangerous process, but there are those who survive through sheer willpower and spite. These blessed unfaithful often find their shared consciousness intolerable and go mad, or try to deal with other neverborn, often digging their grave even deeper.

There is little more prestigious to a member of the Fangs of the Leviathan than to take up a position in the Cradle Guard. This exclusive group is picked specially from the most impressive of the ranks from the base chaos warriors with the express purpose to defend the nest, and especially the firstborn. They are gifted enchanted armour that reacts in sync with the body, letting them dodge would-be killing bows and flick their sabres at just the right moment to achieve a decapitating strike. In attaining position, the soldiers take up a solemn vow to never leave their rank nor pursue greater glory. As the goals of an aspiring champion are rarely ever that easily quelled, the armour they are gifted acts as a failsafe should they seek a position above their station. While it provides impeccable defence, it serves a much more important and sinister purpose - should their actions turn away from their purpose, their armour clamps down on their body and forces their movement permanently. Only the Leviathan knows how many of the silent Cradle’s Guard are loyal, and how many are now prisoners in their own body.

I've been working on a Path to Glory army for these guys; was considering posting in another thread, but thought I'd just continue it here.

I decided to do an alternate for Lord Skalig - I liked the old model, but this one is meant to represent a 'powered up' version, in that she has the Arcane Tome (the scroll she found in the place of apotheosis of a Tzeentch daemon prince) and master of magic (trying and eventually succeeding to unlock some of the scrolls secrets).

The writing on the scroll constantly moves forward, narrating a vague future of its current owner, but never the ultimate outcome.
