Sneedlewoods
Hi mates, I just recently watched some games of the CanCon 2019 tournament and recognized that people couldn't capture objectives by summoning units on them. Does anybody know if this was just a set up for this tournament or for a specific battleplan? Or is this some part of the core rules? Thanks in advance for your answers. :-)
King Taloren
It depends on the battle plan. I know that most disallow capturing objectives when you retreat but I don’t recall summoning as not counting unless someone is trying to interpret the move onto objectives as literally. Thanks in advance for your answers. 🙂 There are some battleplans requiring a hero or monster to move onto an objective in order to take control (e.g. Three Places of Power). Since a setup, as in summoning or any kind of "teleportation", is not a move, you can not grab objectives under these circumstances. You probably watched some footage of a game played with one of those (few) battleplans. There is nothing in the core rules stoppping summoned units from controlling objectives.
