I am a reasonable painter and was a lot more involved in Bolt Action until now (WWII miniatures game). I inherited from my cousin a few boxes of Chaos figures (+a couple of birthday presents) and bought a starter set of Slave to Darkness figures . It really got me interested in starting Age of Sigmar but I am a super newbie here. As usual, best is probably to go to a club and talk with people but meanwhile, I'd appreciate if I could get some advice from the community. It seems I have more figures than needed and maybe some are missing. Questions: What figures do you recommend me to paint in priority, in what quantity? Anything to add? Here is my current figure count: 15 x Chaos Knight 57 x Chaos Warriors 2 x Chaos Warriors chiefs/heroes 25 x Marauders 1 x Marauder chief/hero(?) 5 x Marauder horsemen 1 x Chaos Warlord on daemonic mount 1 x Daemon Prince 1 x Vampire Hero 1 x Chaos chariot 1 x Chaos Sorcerer 19 x Blood reavers 30 x Blood Warriors 10 x BloodLetters 10 x War hounds Thank you so much if you could help with the first steps (I am a fast painter). Skreech Verminking Posted January 30, 2019 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Well if I were you, i’d Just paint the models up you like best and want to use. of course there are some direction where a professional tournament player would go, but that’s literally a big step away for you. However, getting battlelines (in you case, 5*X Chaos Warriors, 20*X Marauders, 5*X Blood Warriors etc. ) and main hero (general) sorted are always a good idea if you want to play following matched play rules. It doesn't seem that it requires as many figures as I initially thought, and painting what I like sounds like a... good idea!
