Tendeadgods Posted September 9, 2018 Share Posted September 9, 2018 can a unit still make a pile in move if the unit they charged was destroyed by another unit before they made there pile in move ? or do they get a free 3 inch move towards the closest enemy unit on the board that are more then 3 inches away? rokapoke Posted September 9, 2018 Share Posted September 9, 2018 The Core Rules specifically state that you may pile in 3” with your unit if it is within 3” of an enemy unit in the combat phase or if your unit charged this turn. If the unit you charged into is destroyed early in the combat phase, then yes, you get a free 3” move toward the nearest enemy unit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If there’s another unit within 3”, then yes. That’s not what the rules say at all. A charging unit always gets to activate and pile in 3” even if it’s no longer within 3” of an enemy unit.
