Daughters of Khaine Reference and Cheat Sheet

This thread is to help collect and present references and rule interactions within the Daughters of Khaine faction to aid players in both finding information and in being aware of specific tactics, tricks or methods that can be used in games. When making a post in this thread please fully reference all the information sources used (page number, paragraph etc..) and provide a short summary of what you are referencing. You don't have to copy pages out of the book, just provide enough info for people to  be aware of what is going on and where to find the information themselves.

Priests and Prayers.

DoK Battletome Page 55 entire. States that any priest choosing a prayer from the table can pray TWICE per turn. This is counter to the Once per turn limit as stated on all priest warscrolls in the faction. Remember that if you are using DoK units as allies they will not get access to the prayers table and thus will revert to only being able to pray once per turn (as stated on their warscroll). Note that whilst this ability is gained by having chosen a prayer from the table, a priest does not have to use one of their two pray attempts to pray for one of the table prayers. 

 

DoK Battletome Page 55 top paragraph. States that Prayers of Khainite Cult (all prayers listed on the table on the same page) can only be prayed for once per hero phase across your whole army. A pray begins when you roll the dice to see if it works or not, so even if you fail you cannot attempt to cast that particular prayer again until the next turn. You are, however, free to pray for a different prayer from the table that another Priest knows of.

Note remember that the limit to "once per turn" applies only to those on page 55, the Khainite Cult prayers. All other prayers that a Priest knows can be prayed for any number of times in a single turn.
