Hey guys!

In a few days a local tournament will start at our store and I'm stuck in between two lists. I try to find a balance between firepower and fast hard hitting units.

The first one has more fast units to catch objectives:

Leaders
Bull Centaur Taur'ruk (160)
- General
- Trait: Grotesque  
- Artefact: Armour of Bazherak the Cruel

- Darkforged Weapon

The second one has more firepower because of the magma cannons. I like the cannons but sometimes its a gamble if they make damage or not. But I need a bit long range firepower against shooting armies like Stormcasts.

 What do you think? Would be thankfull for any help and good ideas? I like the thematic background of the Dawi Zarr and want to surprise my enemies ?

I like the second list a lot more. There's two legit threats and a lot of shooting to support. 

You only need 2 battleline at this point range. 

In the first, if you ditch one unit of Fireglaives, you can get a castellan.

If you ditch two, you open up a lot.

The second works better as you can tie down attacking units with your big threats and screen with the Bulls. 

A skullcracker at that level is nasty.  So is two magma. Mean.

Go get 'em.

I think  I prefer the 2nd list too .  Double Magma at 1250 is going to be nasty.  Only major concerns is that you have a lot of points tied up in a very swingy pair of mortal wound rolls.  Great if you are doing 7+ wounds a turn.  Not so great when you come against anything that has a 6+ ignore mortals and will eat into that damage.  And then of course you will rolls 1's and 2's...
