TerrorPenguin
Hi In the ghb2017 page 117 it states 'mounts - in all such cases any command abilities or magical artefacts can only be used to affect attacks made by the hero and have no effect on attacks made by their mount unless specifically stated otherwise' Let's take Manfred, mortarch of the night. His warscroll states that he rides on a dread abyssal, clearly a mount, but is accompanied by spirit hosts. If I use Manfred's command ability to re roll ones, does the apply to only mannfreds attacks, or mannfred and the spirit hosts. Now, the coven throne. The warscroll is a hero. It is a vampire 'reclining' on a throne, 'attended' by handmaidens and 'protected' by spectral hosts. If Mannfeds re rolls applied to the coven throne, which attacks get rerolled? Are there any others that are less than clear? Death seems to have spirit hosts attached to all the big models and it's unclear whether they are affected or not? Aperolx
So written only to the hero. But GW has been informed to clarify whether this is an error and therefore it is about command and not of ability. German GH17 speaks of traits and not of ability! Tizianolol
Yeah I think we have to wait GW faq for that. Same for vlozd command ability or old blood on carno command ability! ( immagine carno jaws with +2 attacks:)
Ollie Grimwood
I think it's a misprint and they mean command traits rather than command abilities, that would also make more given the section of the books it is in and the context of the rest of the sentence. TerrorPenguin
It could still be problematic though. Some units are called X on Y - that's very clearly a mount. However, things like the coven throne could take an artefact and it's unclear what the 'hero' element of this model is - is it the single vampire on top, the vampire and handmaidens? The spirits? It seems like a fairly hastily written rule
