Plague Monks, maximising attacks

James McPherson

Question

So the weapon profile for a Foetid Blade is x2 attacks, and Plague Monks can carry x2 of them , so does this double up to x4 attacks? And then on the charge when the attacks profile goes up to x3 instead of x2 does that then mean they get x6 attacks?

Then with the Verminlord Corrupter's command ability 'gouge their eyes' you can add +1 attacks to all their melee weapons attacks characteristics, meaning an extra x2 attacks? making 8 attacks each in total?

Having two of the same hand weapon doesn't double attacks as it used to (check the hints and tips section in any battletome or grand alliance book). Instead, it provides a new ability, often rerolls to hit.

Therefore, the corrupter's command ability one adds one attack. However, if you opt to give your plaguemonks a foetid blade and a woe-stave each, both weapons would receive the extra attack. In that case, when buffed by the corrupter abs charging, they'd have 4 attacks each with their foetid blades and 2 each with their woe-staves.

No, unfortunately you never double the attacks for units with dual weapons. Instead you get some special ability, in this case, rerolling all failed hit rolls.

The Verminlords spell will then only affect the weapon with an attack characteristic, so you'll only get one additional attack for models with two foetid blades. If the model had been armed with a single blade and staff instead, then you'd have gotten two additional attacks.
