Bound to the Master and Amaranthine Orb

In Legion of Sacrament, with Arkhan the Black or a generic general with the command trait "Bound to the Master", can my Vampire Wizards within 18" of the General cast Amaranthine Orb on a point within 18" instead of 12"? 

What confused me is that this ability works only for Death Wizards and Vampire Wizards seem to be part of those.

Does your Vampire have the Keyword DEATH?

If the answer is yes, than he is a DEATH WIZARD.
