Hi, from bottom base to tip of the rider weapon, I see a little more than 14cm. count 15cm to be sure not scratching it.

Khorne did get some new plastic kits unit in the Flesh hound. now, this is an update of an old finecaste unit but even if not, as it was released into W40k/AoS box, not even sur how to deal with this case.

Your right.
I've tested Warcroll builder ofr this purpose and obtain same result than you.
For me this is an error/bug.
In last GhB (2019), GHoN, LoS, LoN, LoB were able to ally to Fec and Nighthaunt. As said, some of the Nighthaunt are "builtin" LoN and does not need to be allie (Nighhaunt from Soul Wars box, as can be confirmed by LoN FAQ: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/f4c2ef94.pdf). Anyway, some Nighthaunt have to be taken as allie (thos who where not in the Soul Wars box).

you are right, Stabbas and shootas didnt get new model but are still decent.
On the other hand, there was new kit, like fanatics, that are grot and still stick to exactly same design. So I suspect that stabbas are going to stay same for some time and if recasted, will still look same (like StD, new kits that can perfectly be merged with previous existings).
So I would backup Vasshpit, Gloomspite look like most making sens to you. Going grot+squig should be safe bet for still some times (but who know).

As I didnt glue my General from General on griffon kit (which more or less same size than a DemiGryph Knight, just bigger hat), I can show you what it look like
when he take place on "passenger seat" behing a Squig Hopper.

Let me try to help, here a demigryph and differents squid for size check:
From left to right:
- Squid from squig herd unit
- Squig from boundrez unit
- Demigryph Knight
- Loonboss on giant squig
Top view:
So, picture but also when having model in hand let me think that the Knight may fit not too bad on a squid from Boingrot Bounderz/Squig Hoppers kits.
You could even make an epic version with the Giant Squig but the squig may even be too big!

Same in this box. 18 card with just new terrain (tree/ruine) and 18 cards with new terain mixed with starter set stuff => really cool, some looks like hose/temple in the midle of the forest.
To be honnest I took this set as I already own a sylvaneth army and the 2 set of new forest into this set is welcome. Now I didnt even think when ordering about potential ability to climb on tree but sound really cool.
I hope for rules later to have big model like spirit of durthu as a wandering monster.
With warband card comming for sylvaneth next week, I definitively have to think about some house rules to give bonus/malus to warband depending of where located in the map (in the forest/in the building). no idea yet about what will be special ability of Sylvaneth, but one of my idea may be bonus to sylvaneth (e.g. more move) in the forest side of the map and unability for sylvaneth to use warband ability in buildings/ruines.
Maybe some home made scenario too like sylvaneth repoping non stop from forest trying to assault center builing where trying to survive the non sylvaneth warband (like a zombie assault type of scenario). Obliviously not a balanced scenario but could be lot of fun and really thematique.

I could probably achieve an average a 1h per liberator in a batch painting of 10 (so 10h for 10 Libs), using retributor gold undercoat to save time.
But if moving to Sequitor, I have to double (at least) this time due cloth on the armor.
Now, obliviously, it should depend of the painter skills and the level of details/quality you want to achieve.

All that is in GHB2019. I don't have it with me but this is what I'm remembering about it.
Like Allie but could be across different GA. Anyway, this is really specific set of warscroll only that could be used as mercenaries when allies could be any warscroll but from a precise (allied listed) faction.
as example, any army ay take a necromancer and some skeleton as mercenary. Mercenary count into allied points, prevent you to get 1st round command point but give you a special ability for mercenary "battalion".

Sorry, let me precise that this is a Loonboss on mangler squigs that I've mesured for 14cm.
It is possible that Mangler Squigs may be little less as loonboos have his arm up in the air.
