40k barely got any love this year compared to AoS. I remember years back when AoS barely ever got any support in a year. This year has been simply fantastic for AoS and has seen the game grow by leaps and bounds. Also believe it or not there are tons of people on the sidelines waiting to start AoS with new armies. I know people are looking forward to updates Sepharon, Skaven, Light elves, dark elves, and gobbo's big time. I would say these are the last five big requests too until the armies are at a healthy amount. Maybe one more new and specific AoS one would not go amiss either. Still I think its about time we start looking to begin updating the first armies they made like Fyre and Ironjaws because they are so small. KO also need updates because they don't really work in AoS 2.0 all that well either. Even if we have to wait until next year to get stuff that's fine by me. It will have been the best year for AoS in ages.

So is day 2 of the seminar more news? Or games/tournaments? Or something else entirely?

Well the designer mentioned more 40k codices coming too. By that he means more power armor emperors children, world eaters, and night lords lol. There was a vague "and other factions too" thing whatever that means. Probably more power armor and imp soup then lol. The only interesting thing is the ork models shown and I don't even collect them.

From what I've seen so far this has been pretty slow. Also is it just me or does warhammer's live blog never actually work? Its always a few hours after everything has been finished "live blogging" it pops up for me leaving me to wander around looking for info.

When does warhammer fest europe start and when does it end? I'm in eastern time.

Is the rumor of Kroot true? I don’t want my hopes dashed of them being so heavily hinted at by non-llv rumor folk. It feels impossiblevat this point.

Actually a "melee torpedo" ship would be great. In real life they actually thought melee torpedo boats would ram the enemy and then fire the torpedos inside lol. Its silly enough to work in AoS for sure though lol.

Melee boarding troops, a buffing ship of some sort, a cheaper transport, and a dedicated combat craft that is all guns no transport. Also the elite version of melee only troops. Finally more of a wish list than a need but a Barak-Mhornar hero. Also I would love to see a "Lieutenant" pronounced left tenant who is the admirals right hand man and much more customization than the current admiral. Also we have drill bill we need a mechno monkey. I loosely theme this as the pirates and reavers port theme. I could see a mad scientist and science run amok update as the next one with a focus on bioshock as the big theme with big dadi dawi, flying submersibles that can go into extremely dangerous magic areas as well as underwater, and some sort of dawi super soldier made with aether gold.

They were never potent except like 1 build lol. Now they are impotent and keep getting rolling nerfs. I bet next update they’ll remove our gun profiles all togeather and force us to slap the enemy.

Their internal talk says these production issues should start being resolved around the middle of this year. It’s multiple issues adding up to trouble with demand from what we’ve been told. The major stuff could take until mid late ne t year if what chatter we heard was true at the start of the year.

Good joke. Unless something has been rumored and has been teased a bit with GW mentioning it more at seminars and stuff odds are not happening. I play DE and would like nothing more than to see it get new stuff but come on now. The easiest way to look at the rumors is think in it like GW. We know orks, moonclans, Genestealers, Ynarri, and slaanesh are all upcoming. We definitely know GSC and orks getting new models. So we should look at the rumor picks to fit those releases. Also sometimes terrain can be thrown in there too but its been mostly solved at this point. DE has had zero mentions or teases in forever. Its been ages since any good models came out to 40k that interest me. Popularity does not equal creativity I guess since its doing better than ever on only marines and sometimes an imp release.

Where do you see that?

Yeah according to the most reliable rumor guy it doesn't sound like any KO stuff this year or next. Get ready to be bad for a long time and all we can do is let GW know we're not satisfied with out current army and where its at. Waiting until 2020 to get a rethink on us seems insane. I can't wait that long. We are a from the ground up AoS army why are we made to be so bad? We should be one of the star armies of the game not the older ones.

Nah GW doesn't do competing big releases in a month didn't you notice? More like no more big AoS release until late this year. We know GSC and allegedly orks are coming with big releases and probably some sort of chaos marines. That will likely be the very last of the "big" releases this year. Christmas time tends to be deals and other stuff like board games. At least traditionally.

So if EVERY rumor we heard is true then this is coming. Slaanesh Demons, Moonclan, darkoath, ironjaws, fyreslayers, kharadron overlords, sepharon, and new terrain for AoS stuff. Also possibly board game releases. Even if 40k gets nothing seeing all of this in one year seems very unlikely. They seem to be able to pull of 3-4 major releases for AoS per year. Even if demons terrain comes this year that is a LOT of stuff coming next year. That's 7 releases. So I would bet at last 2-3 of those are not happening or being pushed back into 2020. If 40k sees very little support then we might see one more but I doubt that. The 40k fans are beginning to get rowdy at a "slow" year. I can't really blame them. I mean yeah they got tons of codex's, but the model releases have been nearly nonexistent compared to AoS. It would be really unfair for them if they got two years of little support.

Guess nothing for the poor ko to look forward too? Our army is in sad shape and I hope gw’s Facebook teases about more ko actually amount to something.

Gsc 2 models... or was it three and one of which should have already been there. Really generous release. They got the same amount if new models as knights lol. Orks dunno not out yet. Heard stuff from bug new army update to small release like gsc sized. AoS spinoff board games get better support than that lol.

Yeah and all the rumors say they are in the planning phase and only been Berkeley mentioned. Even then some of them are dubious. Moonclan probably safe as someone on this forum mentioned there was talk at a recent event that leaked out about GW looking for painters to paintgrots. I think at a seminar they mentioned the fyre and iron jaws have little unit variety and were working on ideas for. I still can’t find the seminar in question though. The most dubious one is Kharadron as I have heard litteraly zero on any sort of source for it and think it’s bs even though I love ko and they need new models and a fixed codex.

Yeah I always found that mystifying that bigger guns did the same thing as infantry guns. It’s part of the reason ko units have little distinction and their roles overlap heavily. We have all these models with overlapping roles and gun profiles. It doesn’t make any sense.

We straight up simply need more models at this point. Our army was designed in the weird zone of AoS where it was clearly meant to be a mono build style army ala Fyre but then all of a sudden people hated that so they just gave us more middling ranged and melee stuff with some okay shooting and good speed. We have so much options that all try and do the same thing its crazy. KO to my knowledge was not designed to be the Tau. As long as we don't have magic anything goes. So why are we being pigeon holed into a mostly shooting army?
