  1. Yes apologies for my many errors yesterday. Mondays always feel like a lobotomy.
  2. Never seen them in a game, or thought to write a list with them. I don't actually think they're in the official app anymore. I can honestly see them going to legends along with other characters like firebellies and slaughtermasters. I mean, it happened to Greasus Goldtooth, and he was one of the coolest minis in the range. Meanwhile, both yhetees and frostsabres are conditional battleline. Butchers too are widely used. I mean the range is ancient. GW needs to move beyond doing quick rules 'patches' for struggling armies, and work on updating these minis. How they can continue to sell stuff like gorgers is beyond me.
  3. Controversial point - but maneaters by virtue of being plastic, should not be the priority. As a bloated scion of the everwinter though, I would eat brocoli for new yhetees and frost sabres. How does this kit still exist?
  4. No doubt there will be a herdstone nerf for beasts, perhaps a wholly within bubble rather than a global effect. They also mentioned 'one or two warscrolls' being bent, which is worrying really because nothing really jumps to mind.
  5. Sweepstakes for 2023 then, what are we expecting/hoping for? Dawnbringers? Grungni? Chaos Dwarves? Malerion? Silent people? Kurnothi? Another lumineth book?! I'll go first: - soulblight update with grave guard and maybe a few other updated kits - beasts of chaos with a new shaggoth - OBR with archers - khorne with valkia - cities/dawnbringers - unlikely as it is to happen, I'd love a seraphon/skaven range refresh. I don't play either army, but some of those kits are ancient. - also in the realms of the highly unlikely, and highly controversial, I'd absolutely love to see Tyrion and his angel aelves. That would obviously mean another book though, and you know how the community is.
  6. Gotrek has trousers! He at least wouldn't be caught dead in a thong. I'll relisten to the audiobook, but I don't remember his trousers falling off when he powered up with grimnir's rune. And yeah. Their heros are all decent, by virtue of their luxurious beards, as you've proven by the pictures above. But it's when you start painting the rank and file, the vulkites etc, when you realise how surreal it all is. Anyway, I'll stop before grudges start being written.
  7. Absolutely. Just primaris the whole range. People have been whaling on OBR, and while I agree with them, fyreslayers are a million times worse. I actually started painting a fyreslayers army as a sort of retinue for Gotrek when he was released. But I gave up after a couple of units. I just couldn't make them look cool. No matter what unique skin tones you use, you're effectively just painting a chubby little baby in a medieval nappy with a ridiculous haircut. At this stage, might as well just redo the whole range. At the very least give them trousers, for pity's sake.
  8. New Black Knight kit then. Better sell the 30 I just bought from ebay. Charge of the wight brigade will have to wait. But can you stop the cavalry?
  9. Oh man, I love the darkoath so much. Would love for them to expand on their range, darkoath horsemen and warmammoth.
  10. This 100%. Part of the reason why I haven't had a game of third edition yet, and have largely drifted away from the hobby. AoS was always for me a beer and pringles game. Something to play while drunk and enjoying big swingy dice rolls. I don't need to feel like I'm playing four dimensional chess, having to remember dozens of other rules. I'm not saying there shouldn't be some battletomes that cater to the more cerebral types, but having the entire core rules on like a four page pamphlet was a massive plus for me at least.
  11. Could be just me being paranoid, but feels like damage limitation. I.e. the individual warscroll changes are so bad that they want us to see them within the 'wider context of the whole battletome'
  12. I can't believe its Friday already and we've not seen any major Tzeentch leaks.
  13. Imagining something like the inchoroi from R. Scott Bakker's novels. Horrific alien race arriving by accident when their ship crashes. Almost worse in many ways than the factions of the chaos gods, they seek to avert their own damnation by closing the world to gods, heavens and h.ells.
  14. "The humans, aelves, and duardin of the Free Cities make up the bulk of Sigmar’s faithful – and the majority of his armies." This gives me hope my phoenix elves won't get squatted - a very small flicker of hope, admittedly.
  15. * Three new books (lumineth, sons and tzeentch) * slaves to darkness sculpts they haven't yet shown off on warcom stories ie. chaos chosen Nothing else for AoS
  16. So you're saying there's hope that my Cities aelves won't get squatted?
  17. I've been catching up on this thread and I feel like we might be getting overhyped at this point. 1) this footprint could be just an indication of a new battletome for sons, or sons/ogors. There might not be any major new sculpts getting revealed. Bear in mind that the AoS reveals are just a part of a much larger stream. Desperately hoping for a new mega, a mega-sized named character, or new mancrushers is potentially setting yourself up for disappointment. 2) bear in mind we are also expecting battletome reveals for tzeentch/lumineth, as well as any new slaves to darkness sculpts that haven't yet been officially previewed (chosen?). That's already a packed stream, and makes it less likely that we'll see the kind of range overhaul everyone seems to be hoping for. Hate to be a Debbie Downer
  18. Killing moon - for those who like Echo and the Bunnymen references
  19. Does the fact that they included just a single lumineth character in the GHB mean that hopes of Tyrion is now out of the question?
  20. I like the mixture of outrage and horror in the expression of the Tauralon. Like someone just stuck their thumb up a horse's back side
  21. I take it back over my earlier gripes on availability, credit to GW for actually making enough copies of this to meet demand.
  22. Why is it artificial scarcity? Its restricting what should be an evergreen product, ie. a starter set like Soul Wars, to a limited run. (See also Cursed City). Why would plastic production be bottlenecked? They own their own factory, and produce thousands of kits, very few of which are limited edition. Nor would export issues have any relationship to scarcity. Much of the scarcity is in their domestic market here in the UK. This is just a cynical play for FOMO, and yeah its probably working for them and their balance sheet. But honestly, I don't think its working for the community, if the Cursed City debacle was anything to go by. Them giving free copies to influencers might have had no effect on scarcity, but I personally find it quite poor taste when there are thousands of people who won't be getting a copy tomorrow.
  23. Yeah, was hoping to get at least one box from them. Not enough copies on the initial run. GW creating artificial scarity again. Meanwhile there are more than enough copies to give to every social media personality to write glowing reviews of. Sick of it tbh. The whole thing feels scummy.
