  1. Their salaries are so low they will struggle to retain anyone other than post grads with no familial responsibilities. When I interviewed for an AOS writer a few years back, they were offering something like £20k pa ($22.6k)
  2. Exactly this. I'm sure they have so many projects ongoing. What's the harm in giving us instead some clues about what's coming early next year? (The obvious and depressing answer is that there are no new AoS models scheduled for early next year, or the foreseeable future).
  3. Shouldn't world eaters be in there too? That's another fairly sizable release
  4. Ogor loremasters and battle report. That could suggest they're at least a week behind schedule
  5. It's gotta be mawtribes, we're running out of weekends!
  6. Definitely feel that OBR will get at least a new archer unit, because of the teaser from Underworlds. Note that the Vanari Bladelords were also teased with an Underworlds model.
  7. I wonder if that means that the old world FW kits will come back. I think I still have a Marienburg Landship somewhere in storage.
  8. I'm guessing Beasts of Chaos will be among the first next year, with other perhaps being Blades of Khorne or Seraphon.
  9. Building some chaos knights this weekend. The run and charge subfaction with khorne marks should be super smashy and fun. I love that's it not all about aura bubbles anymore and the individual warscrolls have raw power.
  10. Also interestingly knights only have option for lance. Which basically invalidates the old non-pushfit models if you built them that way.
  11. My money is on these guys getting a full unit. I think the rumour engine with a hand and a sword, even looks pretty similar. Maybe Halloween 2023?
  12. Ever since late second edition, what happens normally is that GW releases a model wave for an army, and then follows that up not too much later with a second wave and a book. For instance Lumineth wave 1 and wave 2, then Slaanesh, Sylvaneth etc. Which is why I think we're due a second wave for soulblight and bonereapers. As much as I'd love a FEC release, I think they will likely stay in the fyreslayer doldrums for a while longer.
  13. I think we'll probably still get a soulblight second wave at some point. With new grave guard and perhaps also a vampire unit similar to the vykros blood born. So there's a chance the rumour engines could be those.
  14. Any gossip about the book you've heard yet? Weighing up whether to sell off my stonehorn army I'm just finishing up, while they're perhaps still worth something. (And no, I didn't bother to magnetise the heads)
  15. Hopefully this means ogor preview finally on Sunday
  16. Broken Realms Grombrindal. Followed by Broken Realms Tyrion
  17. I find it hard to get excited about dawnbringers when I'm worried it will mean that most of my current army will get squatted.
  18. I start a new army every week, have a wardrobe full of half-finished projects, haven't had a game of warhammer in nine years. Don't tell me I'm not having fun!
  19. Where do you draw the line? Is any reliable information you get before you have the book in your hand classed as a leak? What about youtubers going through the book on preorder day? Are they leaking? If not, then what's the difference between that and getting some photos of warscrolls earlier in the week? Personally, I'd rather know earlier.
  20. Personally, I'd also rather not see any rumours in the (checks notes)... rumour thread
  21. They said they'd be tweaking them in the latest meta watch, (which sounded like nerfs). But I assumed that was going to be a warscroll update. They're not on the release road map, so would be surprised if they get a new book soon
  22. That's such an epic mental image. I hope once they do FEC they lean into the old world Strigoi design aesthetic.
  23. The thing about not having decent yhetees and frostsabres is that the book becomes limited in building a viable army. I'm convinced part of the reason we saw stonehorn spam in the last book was because very few people wanted to build an army with yhetees and cats. Irongutzman did really well in tournaments with a yhetee-based winterbite army. I was thinking of doing the same, but I couldn't face having to buy and paint loads of those old minis. Or else converting the army using rockgut troggoths and then having it invalidated a year later when they finally do update the yhetee miniatures. Keeping those kits in their current weird limbo really limits choices
