Grots are right now the most interesting stuff, thou I am afraid, that the overall feel might differ too much. To me, the overall setting has to stay believble. If I imagine a supermechanized Grot next to a club wielding Bonesplitter....it just doesen`t seem to fit. I have the same issue with the Kharadron and the Stormcats.

And I think the people in Nottingham do see this as well. So I expect some of the older factions to get a more up to date look and feel.

I see your point, but the thing is we are talking about 9 different realms. Theres room for "high fantasy" technology. Me? Id love to see goblins as a bizarro version of kharadron.

Yeah I have a feeling it's them out of all the dark elves factions they have appeared the most in fluff the new warhammer quest does indeed show that Malerion is their patron. Also they have a clear aquatic cthulu theme going on especially how the witch hunter in city of secrets contacted the fleetmaster for a "favor".

yeah, the video conference is exactly what im talking, lol

    Certainly plausible isn't it?!

    surely does.

Me? Im just a simple man with simple tastes. I really happy for all elf player, now i just want them to unleash the new elfs and death, and then go on to what matters most - ironjawz skyships.

Ironjaws is too specific of a faction IMO to see an update without new models. Unless it is some kind of only EBook battletome. Same for Everchosen, Flesheaters, Beastclaw.

They can always do a greenskin one and update everybody else.

People need to stop complaining about a battletome for an army coming out ahead of their army!

They can't release all armies at once. This is a just a book to bring Khorne in line with the other battletomes with abilities and things. Ita being released the same month as an entire new faction its not like its pushing another release further down the line.

Going by this I'm sure the likes of ironjaws etc. That have an old battletome will also get a new one soon (with more complaints from the community) and armies without a battletome will eventually get one as well as new models.

I thought about ironjawz. It would be cool for "chapter" rules, but i think well never leave rampager/destroyer.

This release has my head spinning.  Oh, the IRONY!

The race MOST resistant to change has changed the MOST.  I gotta wonder what the "9th Age" Luddites are saying about this.  These new Overlords could be viewed as a metaphor for AoS vs. WFB in general.

    Oh, boy, well remembered.

Time to lurk some forums and bathe myself in salt

Hmm I still think they fit in order considering their characterization in novels. Plus it depends on the lodge. There are some that have done pretty badass and heroic things.

Yeah, i was talking about when gw released them. Theybsaid they would be like a mercenary faction that would fight for anyone who paid the most ur.

I already did I am collecting Fyreslayers right now their fluff is pretty cool. People think they are mercenaries but they are not truly mercenaries sort of thing.

They are more crackheads than mercenaries. But i think gw blew it by putting then on order. It would be cool to have a non alligned faction, you know? One you could use in any alliance you wanted.

This is my suspicion too. It's pretty obvious big changes are coming, I just hope GW are brave, they go all the way and give us an AoS rule set for 40k. It'll be really interesting, having already been through the process ourselves, to watch the rage, and then the realisation that it's actually a better game. I'm also looking forward to buying some 40k minis for the first time in twenty years.

Yeah, after i started playing aos, ive bought an ork start collecting and some more stuff, build an army and played once.

Never played again and really dont see me playing again.

I want to try battle for vedros and kill team, tho.

Wait, does that mean I wouldn't be selecting which units are going into a summoning pool but just saying I've got X points of summoning? So i could decide in game which summons I'd like to try to cast based on what the opponents fielded? This feels like the weirdness buff nerf

As far as i got it. You make your list and when You start playing you set some units out of the table and just say "these units are for summoning"
