Another Monday, another Kroot. Hard to believe it's not an AoS model! I could see the mount in particular being used for some more unusual CoS conversions. .

VanguardSpearhead boxes for CoS and FEC.Presence of the Mounted Marshal in the CoS one is quite nice, as I know the price point of him was something of a gripe for a few people.

Legions Imperialis and Leviathan stand-alone pre-orders next week. However...
QuoteHere at Warhammer Community, the return of Hammerhal Herald digs up dating advice and hopeful classifieds from the Mortal Realms, while missives from the Horus Heresy dig into The Great Slaughter for a closer look at its lore and rules. Finally, the long-awaited Battlescroll drops this week with Metawatch commentary from the Warhammer Age of Sigmar studio.

Guesses for tomorrow's preorder announcement? It feels like it is Kill Team time for me.
There's a rumour doing the sounds it'll be Legions Imperialis. Of course, there's the other rumour saying it'll drop on March 1st instead.

The big question is does GW still get books made overseas or is that done in the UK now?
The (suspected) Legions Imperialis reprints were done in the UK. Iirc my Siege of Cthonia was as well.

40k for New Model Monday unfortunately, but I'm sure some folks will get use out of the Kroot Hounds for conversions.

For a limited time starting on the 10th of February, a digital copy of this compilation will be added free of charge to all orders placed on the BlackLibrary.com webstore. Man Reads Book reads Dawnbringers IV and goes into a good amount of detail of Triumph and Treachery.

This going to read like pure copeium, but why would BoC be any different to StD, Freeguild, 'Ardboyz etc with AoS getting new sculpts and the old models remaining in production for TOW? Like Lizardmen and Skaven, Beastmen are one of those things people look at and instantly think "Games Workshop(tm) PLC" and we know how obsessed modern GW is with it's IP.
Also, we didn't get the new Beastlord that long ago. I know that doesn't necessarily save an army (Silver Tower comes to mind here), but it'd still be strange. I just can't see them going the way of the dodo.

Cool mini's, but what is it? A CoS knight?
Just now, Ejecutor said:I am so confused right now. Without reading about it, the AoS one seems to be a CoS one, but... with the S2D corvus warband touches? My bet is CoS (another mini to buy).
Alternative Arch-Knight from the Command Set.
"The counterpart from the Age of Sigmar is a little better armoured, but still retains an avian demeanour. This is the Steel Rook, an alternate Arch-Knight for the Freeguild Command Corps. They continue the animal theme of the Arch-Knights, adding a third, bird option to the bear or fish knights you can build from the main Corps kit. They’re even accompanied by an actual rook, just in case the feathered fashion statements were too subtle."

Warhammer Event Minis revealed. Fair to say AoS wins this one. Alternative Arch-Knight for CoS, all hail Morr(da)! Although I'm sure some Tzeentchian cultists will be eager to get their hands on this one.

Always happy to see more space dorfs but the questoris knight is a curious one. The kit’s only a decade old but it is one which has gone through, I think, 2-3 revisions to include additional sprues and options. I wonder if this could be an attempt to rationalise it, load up the sprues more tightly to accommodate all the stuff and maybe include some of the technical gains developed through the other more recent knights
If it's not a revision, I would assume it's the Mechanicum Knight Styrix/Magaera since those are still in resin.

Another Dawnbringer Chronicle, this time, Skaven.
QuoteWarlock Engineer Katchrikk embarks on a mission of revenge against his arch-rival Queelum in this week’s Dawnbringer Chronicles, but the daemons of the Horned Rat have a better use in mind for two ambitious and capable Warlocks…
Maybe a heavily armoured Warlock model will be coming with Dawnbringers?
"Then a thud echoed. Katchrikk’s glee choked. Another heavy impact saw the smoke ripple. A hulking shape stomped into view at the lip of the spire’s savaged gash – a figure entombed in a walking, gun-studded coffin of green-tinged metal.
"A keening, whirring din rang out. Ignoring Zzzit’s scream, Katchrikk raced to arm the spare warhead, as the generator mounted to Queelum’s armour roared – providing him the strength needed for the other Warlock to heft a ratling gun single-handedly, its barrels whirring and keening to life."

The Rumour Thread
in Age of Sigmar Discussions

I can say with confidence this week's Rumour Engine is not a goose.
Unless a goose is holding the stick. Hm.
