  1. Below you can see the pictures of some Stormcast models I have finished recently. I have now painted around 1500 points of SCE in the past few months. I still need to paint some more heroes and units (including one Stormdrake guard) before I paint all of my SCE models, but the main goal I set earlier this year - to have a fully painted 1000pt Stormcast Eternals army - has been achieved!

  2. I have managed to paint first batch of 5 Bloodletters! Here's the picture taken little before the models were completed (bases were not done at this point and there were a few details that I needed to take care of):

For the first time sine I started painting miniatures, I tried painting without the wash - and I am very satisfied with the results. In this particular case, it worked great and I managed to get the skin tone that I wanted. Also, the colour scheme is very easy to replicate, so I can finish the whole batch fairly quickly (60 - 90 minutes per miniature).

  3. Here are my suggestions:
    - No more true line of sight: bigger bases block LOS to smaller ones, you cannot shoot through doors and windows, etc. I would also be happy with current targeting rules from 40K (9th edition).
    - Introduce model/unit facing: units cannot see what's behind their back and only some units are able to have 360-degree line of sight.
    - Cover works differently: depending on the type of cover, the shooter gets -1 or -2 penalty to  hit (like in WHFB).
    - Make mortal wounds special: too many models have abilities that simply come down to "deal X mortal wounds". This makes mortal wounds too common and also less interesting as a mechanic (because everybody gets to do it, just under different conditions).
    - Make charges less random: maybe some combination of movement stat and die roll, but definitely avoid fully random charge move.
    - Make charging count: chargers should always strike first. However, there should be weapons/units that are very effective against charging
    - Walking into combat: units should be able to just move close to the enemy unit and be able to attack it as long as it is within the weapon rage (no need to make charge the only option for entering combat).

  4. In the past few weeks I have continued working on my Stormcast. Here's another unit of Annihilators, but this time I have changed the colour scheme a bit. I am currently painting Lord-Imperatant and because he is my general, I wanted his armour to be different - probabli white(ish), but not like the one that Knights Excelsior usually have (that one is too white). However, I really liked the colour scheme for the Imperatant, so I decided he needs a bodyguards as well and sice I really like annihilators... you get the idea :D

  5. So, besides Be'lakor, I managed to fully paint another unit of Annihilators - I have also played a bit with an alternate colour scheme.

These guys are bodyguards of a Lord-Imperatant that is leading my force, so they all share the same armour (keep in mind the miniature is not fully painted yet):
