I would love that... wait... that lizard thing? 🤯

I keep thinking that my desire for space elves riding dinosaurs should translate into wanting to play seraphon but they need model updates almost as badly as Skaven. Maybe the underworlds set will begin my journey into Jurassic Park.

I still hope this death stuff is a Legions of Nagash update!

I agree I'm intrigued about Exodites - I'd hope they would be wild - like Wood elves WFB. The Seraphon are very interesting- some of their big beastie kits are amazing but they need an update- new skinks and Kroxigor in plastic. I'm looking forward to the underworlds war band to dip my toe in the range.

yeah, i could see a multiple of the images are one 40k model:

    • the arm with books
    • the staff
    • the back with bag
    • the holstered pistol
    • the scrolls
    • and the fancy boots (matching the back with bag symbols and same skull as on the holstered pistol)

Yeah could be a single inquisitor rather than a retinue..

You 40k people are very helpful but always get in the way of my Darth Malerion theories!

I was hoping it was something Duardin related.

yeah me too [although I was hoping Squats..] .. checked Dakka and its another Imperial ... dwarf fans will have to wait.. although I reckon these rumours are just for the first quarter of 2021- looks like Slaanesh, vampire war band for Underworlds, inquisition, Drukhari and ?

Another key makes for an interesting rumour engine... would be cool if it was another warhammer quest where the animals with keys represent unlocked chambers or something like that. Allthough I think the warhammer quest models tend to not have sculpted bases. That is something we always see in underworlds models though...

I’m hoping a lot of these advent calendar pictures will be revealed once te calendar is done.

Yeah- could be scenery pieces rather than basing? Thinking this looks like releases for the first quarter of 2021 ..

AoS V3 box: Human (Devoted of Sigmar / Freeguild new faction) Versus Orcs !

    ... A guy can dream 😜

I think Cities of Sigmar [humans] vs Destruction [Orcs] would be excellent and most interesting, Stormcast could eb there as an elite choice and they could explore the more out-there elements of a Cities force with new humans/Devoted. On the opposition sid they could do new orcs with a smattering of others like trolls/gobbos/fimir. I'm not into either faction but I think it would be a cool take on an old rivalry and would add to the setting a lot..

Destruction I think is being set up as the major antagonist for the next chapter of AoS -especially with the first Broken Realms story setting up a new Waaagh. Its a good system where they cycle through Chaos/Death/Destruction with each edition.

Do we really need more focus on pointy ears? I'd almost rather Sigmar open another Stormcast Chamber!

    It hasn't got that bad!😁

Thinking back what were the AoS releases this year- Lumineth and ?? Kharadron got two characters [including Bugmansson there], Slaves got a new start collecting of new sculpts.. this year was mostly 40k marines and Necrons wasn't it??

Now I want an Army of Kurnothi, painted like the Picts in King Arthur,

Don't we all! I keep hoping for a Kurnothi hint in the rumour engines.. but alas nothing.. keeping myself occupied by converting up my own. With Direchasm out maybe the Underworlds war band will be available on its own soon.

I also think they didn't reveal many AoS titles because they will tie into releases and basically give the game away for new armies, broken realms and spoil any surprises.

I'm quite happy to be kept in the dark and have the surprise.

Yeah I was thinking that- at this point we only have an idea that Slaanesh mortals are next but nothing beyond that- they'd probably want to preview any more developments with miniature or broken realms previews rather than novels.

I agree. Fimir are a rather unique concept and I hope GW will make an army of it. Also I want more Zoats (Thx Total War Warhammer!)

Zoats might fit in with the Kurnothi... ? They look ace- I love the new models  [both the 40k and BB ones]. Funny how they are so sinister in 40k and aligned with "order" in AoS.

Doubt it, they wouldnt risk saturation like that I don't think.

Malerion Elves vs ? is my strongest instinct. I predicted the Slaanesh arc about a year and a half ago more or less exactly, I'm pretty sure I know where it's going in the grand scheme of things and although Slaanesh is being released I dont think on the tabletop that is going to manifest itself beyond the Mortals and Hedonites for a while. Slaanesh is trapped but its followers aren't. The release will be big in the lore but along with Nagash it's been the main hype/teaser line for all of the second edition. They will introduce a new mystery patron questline for 3.

Pretty sure Malerion is going to pop up after the other Aelven deities are spent and Slaanesh is released. To do what- I dont know. Probably something with Sigmar though as hes been quiet for a long time. Most likely will coincide with Shadespire or AOS warhammer quest in Ulgu.

Then I expect some form of Grungni presence I think because over the next few editions of Shadespire Chamon and Aqshy have to come into play.

I think Malerion elves are another year away- they are the mirror of Lumineth and I think GW will give them a bit of distance from the lumineth and start dropping more Malerion references in the build up. I actually expect/hope  Kurnothi come first- they see to be a bit more established in name drops, I think they'll be. smaller faction twinned with Sylvaneth, Malerion Elves will be a larger faction they will give serious time to. No idea about the possibility of new dwarfs/Grungni..

But hopefully Broken Realms will show us were they are going, its looking pretty exciting either way! I love how the Broken Realm books already seem to be adding much to the setting and I'm betting the Aelven hero spirits released [Aenarion] will play an important part.. [thats my guess to the return of Kurnoth..]

Funny how there are pretty much no rumours now bar what comes form GW...

Yeah, the title is unfortunate, but in the end, his arguments are what we already know: 40k is more restrictive and while the amount of effort and creativity could be the same, AoS is just way more open to big changes and crazy ideas.

Yeah I get the sense (and maybe I’m being overly optimistic here) that the6 are trying to freshen up 40k. The new Necrons look really interesting, but then as he mentions , the new Banshees( whilst beautifully designed) are essentially the same models I collected 20 + years ago when they first came out. Part of that is the fan base not wanting change- I argued with other players about new weapon variants but they were dead against it. I find eldar pretty dull now, still love my Nids as there is more scope I think for conversions and kit bashes.
AoS seems so fresh (because it’s new) I love my flying dwarfs and I’ve collected dwarfs for years and the Kurnothi have really grabbed my attention too were in converting my own additions to the war band . Even the factions I don’t collect make the setting look so fun and interesting. Of the course the drawback is the model ranges don’t have as much depth as the 40k or old fantasy ranges did, but if/when they do that might make AoS a bit more design fixed..

Found this video oddly cute. Made me think of "Klaus", but with more weapons. I don't think that there are any hints of future releases  here, but I found strange that the Lumineth warrior gets what looks like a Leviadon (and a chariot?) and that the Fyreslayer gets a KO ship.

Yeah I felt quite Christmas-y while I watched it.. Of course the damn Skaven are hovering around the edges of joy...

Today's rumour engine definitely looks Hobbit-like to me- short arms and big hands.. maybe a ratling for 40k ?

Yep looks like vampire lady sword masters... daughters of Abhorash maybe? These look very interesting.. I based my WFB VC around martial female vamps, be interesting to see their lore.

Well there will be Kurnothi which are Sylvaneth and Wade Price has already confirmed on channel they will be AoS WE.

When did he say this and I what context? Really hoping for Kurnothi. Love the idea of using the BB tree an and Treebeard too they are cracking models.

    The correct answer is both.

If it is a 'classic' vampire army I think it's going to need a bit more to it than that to stand up to the rest of what AoS has to offer, probably focused around Neferata (not Mannfred, he's a right ******).

Those weapons look very classic- almost to the point of me thinking they are WFB, to me it either is Cities or a Vampire faction in the cities/modelled on the cities, it doesn't scream Realm of Death to me, could be the martial prowess of Blood dragons, the infiltration of Neferata and the classic nobility of Vlad.

But it might well be a human force.
