  1. WOW that was amazing! Loved the great fleet of the KO arriving- thats epic! Not entirely sure thats Grungni- it might be Grombrindal [the White Dwarf] Grungni was never lost and how the character appears is more how the White Dwarf travels and operates, plus Gromthi looks a lot like Grombrindal . His enemies would be skaven/greenskins.. but yes BRING ON THE NEW DWARFS!

Love how grim it all sounds - the dwarfs are going to have their hands full getting through this .. Grungni will need to whip up some serious machinery to deal with the all the chaos unleashed and broken realm gates. The Kharadron have other paths to other realms I think .. interesting...

EDIT: We HAVE to have a Grombrindal/Grungni epic model!! [Both would be perfectly fine - maybe a return of the dwarf pantheon if Valaya returns as well - Grimnir will probably stay shattered..]

Glad to see tga back. Browsing Dakka was miserable. I'm very curious to see what's up with Be'lakor. Also they've set themselves a very high bar with Kroak and the Witch Hunters for the Monday reveals. There are 2 weeks left and my guess is that the last one will be Kragnos himself. That leaves one total mystery.

Really intrigued to see Kragnos.. Kroak, Belakor and those witch hunters [not to mention all the graveyards stuff] look epic.. looking forward to see what they can do with Kragnos [Kroak particularly blew me away].

Damn the Cursed City situation really degenerated during the outage huh

Yeah.. but on reflection it does seem really strange...removed from the drop down menu on the community site..something has gone wrong there for GW.

But Belakor today ! And I REALLY missed this place when it was down- delighted to be back.

  4. That Lord Kroak model is jaw dropping! Absolutely fantastic model- the detail.. what a centrepiece!

Also this fits into the prophesy -

    Quote

‘You seek prophecy, wretch? You go to your death!’ he boomed. ‘The gate will shatter! The earth will tear! The sky shall eat the storm, and the serpent’s tide will rise!

Seeing as Kroak is surrounded by serpent iconography ... BR: Kroak is maybe a possibility ..

Well ! Pricey, as expected. But the new model is great..... Loving the fact we are FULL ON Broken Realms right now : the Be'lakor book just after Teclis, another Broken Realm Monday Preview tonight, aaand another short story in the Wednesday newsletter :D

Regarding AOS 3.0, the Grimdark Live rumors are really interesting :

    • Getting something as early as June with a new Rulebook and an Indomitus-style boxed set would be unexpected but GREAT.

    • I'm all down for a Hobgoblinesque / AOSIfied Gitmob army. Current Rumor engines could fit that theme, like @Nezzhil showed ITT a possible Wolf Chariot, and the WHU Snarlfang Rippa would find a better home than Gloomspite Gits

    • New Stormcast are cool, mostly if : 1. they bring some Human Auxiliary  or Cog-men Azyrite automatons with them, and : 2. the "Knightly / Bretonnian" theme they are said to get means we'll have models looking like a mix of the John Blanche SCE Sketches, the Lord Relictor and the Primaris Bladeguards dudes (i.e. GRIMDARK RELICS EVERYWHERE) :P

Do you reckon there is an unannounced 5th BR book to drop in June just before the big Indomitus style box box? I have a suspicion there might be..still dying to know what Kragnos means in the setting - I'm doubting very much he has anything to do with Hobgoblin/gits wolf riding horde [which sounds awesome- especially if they get wolf chariots etc..].

Rest of the release prices in Euros for Belakor pinched from Dakka-

    Belakor €110

    Stormcast and nightaunt €30 each

    atrazans blazing €65
    dragons aether €65
    celestial stampede €105
    sorrowmourn choir €70

This all makes me real curious when and how the Soulblight are supposed to fit in? Seems like if it's much later it'll be stepping on 3.0's toes, but any earlier and we won't have seen half of it. Weird.

Br:Kragnos maybe - Soulblight have been fighting the Kurnothi, I reckon Kragnos is something to do with Alarielle so he might fit in there.

So are we definitely expecting 3.0 around July? I was anticipating it to come next year if I’m honest. Is there a list of all these sources as I’m losing track who’s said what.

Regardless of rumours it makes sense timing wise- its in the 3 year cycle and they have ramped up BR releases which must be heading towards something. I reckon its spot on. They pushed 40k on a similar way last year.

    Be'lakor unlikely alliance huh

Tzeentch  would actually be less surprising choice but i would laugh if it actually Seraphon  where allying with him only because him rising against Archeon would actually be a good thing in the long run in accordance with the Slaan's master 4D chess plan

Yeah and what did he blow up?? He sent the Skaven assassin to"destroy the impossible " and "end the eternal".. the Archaon or Sigmar's magic forge?

This would mean a last BR:book in June. As each BR book so far included a single story chapter and things happen quite parallel, I don´t know what to expect for 3.0 kickoff as story hook. Althrough Godrakk's assault on Azyr is a good bet, it could end up beeing a BR book.

I watched that Grimdark Live video where they talked about 3rd - they said the Indomitus type box for AoS was coming in June, the main release fo 3rd was in July.. might make it difficult to squeeze in another BR book, but PA:Pariah came out just before Indomitus so maybe?? Don't know how accurate their rumours have been though- I think the dates for Belakor etc came from elsewhere..

Bring back Grom the Paunch on a giant chariot pulled by all of the wolfs.

Exactly what I was thinking - it has vibes of the 3rd edition WFB box set ..

The two spears are also in the same style as the other weapon rumour engines(crude - wood with nails). One has an ogre head and elf head on it. Would have to be a very strong goblin...

Have you met Grom? The AoS version would be excellent - I loved those wolf riders [and this is a dwarf collector!]. They also could have Troll allies.

I really hope their opposition isn't Stormcast - Cities would be more interesting [or Stormcast with CoS as allies] also Alarielle seems to be rising in the BR narrative..

Hopefully another preview is announced today so we maybe get some more peeks this week and I think we are due another BR story this week [they are every fortnight?]. I'm busting to know who Kragnos is, what Belakor is up to and how the BR narrative is developing..

I'm still seeing conflicted news. GW aren't confirming anything it seems. Dark sphere which is one of the bigger set of UK stores said 3 days ago no additional runs are planned yet my local lincs store yesterday said its been added  to the standard range 🤷‍♂️. I guess we just have to wait . Anyone else in the UK have any news from their store?

It could be that there are logistical issues getting all the components reproduced as its not just models, there's all the cardboard elements etc.. Blackstone is still available so I don't see why they wouldn't work to produce more stock of Cursed City, unless Cursed City is waaayy more popular than Blackstone.

That would be amazing if they hid a teaser in something like this. To be honest I can see the resemblance. Even threw some sort of dragon in for scale to showoff how big Kragnos is.

Thats a forest dragon and he's surrounded by Aelf centaurs and Satyrs, ..😇

    [I wish]

Life VS Destruction starter set? Alarielle/Kurnothi [Kragnos] vs Gordrakk's lads???

Just thinking out Loud as Alarielle seems to becoming more prominent in the BR series..

That said the new CoS and Gravelords stuff looks amazing... I think its win-win either way..

well because releasing a starter set is basically AoS 3.0.

    April Belekor

    May Kragnos

June - last BR book with basically the last unrelease stuff

    July new edition

keep in mind some of those Monday could just be officially revealing Kragnos and the stuff related to him.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking the schedule looks like- especially as they seem to suddenly be rushing them out.

Those witch hunters are fantastic -delighted for the CoS players, but just as a collector I'd love to get these to just to paint. The variants are cool too- he has 4 builds - single pistol, double pistol and pistol and sword, sword and torch, nice. The quality of these sculpts and the heroes from Cursed City are amazing- if they expanded that into a full release for CoS in 3rd Ed it would make a hell of a starter set...I really hope they do rather than Stormcast [nothing against Stormcast more just for the additional variety it would offer].

Element said they had a good amount of stock but its all gone now. They did say it wasn't clear if there would be more stock but I think there's just a lack of clarity from GW about this at the moment so you're going to get differing info floating around

Dark Sphere don't seem to have put their pre-order up at all yet unless it just went in a flash, as there's no product listing for it yet that I can see. It won't be around long if they have 30-50 copies though obviously

I think Darksphere might have done an expression of interest email thing - they did it with the Sisters box so their mailing list gets first go at it.

I managed to get one off GW,  I know they are coming back in stock but it takes me an age to paint anything and I wanted to get these all painted up so I can maybe get my mate to play after lockdown.

  15. Honestly as long as they arrive in some form I'll be happy. I'm interested in how Kragnos plays out- with Alarielle holding Kurnoth's spear perhaps Kragnos takes his mantle and Kurnoth stays absent. Or perhaps he's something different altogether, perhaps even faction less.

Because Kurnoth was caged, flayed alive and his heart stolen by Alarielle for the sole reason of Kurnoth being far too savage and primal.

I have no interest in seeing timid Kurnoth who obeys the whims of Alarielle.  I wish to see a primordial force of red tooth and claw.

Besides Dark Harvest book, I strongly recommend Orion trilogy.  Kurnoth was never nice, he is a force of nature, violent and majestic as the storm, volcano, hurricane or tsunami.  In the avatar of Orion, he killed and ate the hearts of Wood Elves who joined his Wild Hunt.

I read the first of the  Orion books and he is incredibly savage. I think Kurnothi could well be coming as a thing themselves- they might be able to ally with Sylvaneth but possibly be stand alone factions, in fairy tales the Fae always had separate courts for the King and Queen and they were rivals. Plus..

    Spoiler

From BR: Teclis -Teclis warns Alarielle she has unleashed a force even she cannot control , while she talks of Spring coming. Either the return of Spring means the rebirth of Kurnoth or perhaps she has released Kragnos who will take over his mantle .. either way the forces of Life are in the ascendant and the Kurnothi represent the animalistic side of nature, they seemed to be teased enough so they may be on their way for 3rd ed. Finding out more about Kragnos and what Alarielle has been up to in the next while we will see. Who knows maybe they will even make the starter Kurnothi vs Destruction... [I can hope😇].

This stuff Alarielle supposedly says in BR Teclis about 'spring coming', 'the return of life', 'the realms awakening', do we think this might be a hint in favour of Kurnoth?

Yeah thats what I'm thinking .. didn't she plant a seed of him from the Old Stag? Plus Orion was always reborn at the start of spring. Or perhaps he will stay dead and Kragnos will rise in his place.

I would really love to see the siege of Excelsius upset the balance of AoS. Like make some really huge changes. I'd love to see a battle with such incredible Waagh! energy that Gorkamoraka manifests (or turns gordraaak into his avatar) and Sigmar (or Dracothian?) actually has to make a personal appearance to deal with him as the gates come crashing down. It would be a fight for the ages, but I feel GW would have Sigmar win, hold the gate, and return to the status quo (especially after how they have handled the Teclis stories).

But wouldn't it be cool if the mixed destruction army was soo huge that therewas enough Waagh energy to have Gorkamorka/Gordraak actually win and push Sigmar back? Gate falls, and now in AoS 3 we can fight in the realm of azyr? Perhaps Grungi and the dwarves finally make an appearance and stop the tide of destruction? Or perhaps Allariales long stewing plans finally come forth and she somehow affects the battle? Or Slannesh makes its move? SO many possibilities, I just hope that whatever the ramifications are, it shakes up the grand alliances a bit.

I could see Gordrakk getting elevated to an avatar of  Gorkamorka or as it incarnate. Not sure if Gorkamorka would manifest- isn't he huge ? But Destruction could definitely use a centrepiece/central character so I wonder how they will do this. I reckon they could take part of Excelsius leaving the city in a state of part ruin/occupation.

IF (and its a massive huge if) Kurnothi appear its going to be very interesting to see what happens with the Wood Elves in Cities of Sigmar. Will GW do what they've done with Legions of Nagash and port those models out and back into Sylvaneth (or into Kurnothi if they wind up being their own army); will the do nothing and the Kurnothi are a new idea; will they even remove them and the Kurnothi replace them. It could be a very important moment in terms of what GW is looking to do with Cities.

They've sort of teased ideas with Morathi and the old Dark Elf stuff, but as they only made it an optional army in an optional expansion book and have given no hints of Morathi's forces welcoming the new armies into them in a big way (they are as allied as Idoneth are) then it leaves us still wondering what the long term plan is.

The other difference is that lore wise GW has put a lot into Morathi's army being just the DoK and nothing else. Splicing in the old Dark Elf models would swell the army to a full diverse force in one go; but it would also totally dilute the DoK themes they've had going for them since release. Especially since the Dark Elf half doesn't "need" the DoK forces as such to bulk it out; its already got everything it needs really.

I could see them staying - the beauty of Cities of Sigmar is it provides the opportunity not only to explore design of new human forces but different types of Aelves and Duardin while still having the separate factions. Theres loads of flexibility there if the designers want to develop different ideas without them becoming a full faction. So they could take Kurnothi one direction [maybe the more Fae aspect, and take the wanders in another - the more noble wood elves from 8th. They don't have to choose between they can do both, keeping them distinctly different.

not exactly liking this book so far from what I've heard

Alarielle thinks he'll be back sooner and won't be happy skeleton - probably with a fresh set of books and the latest version of Arkhan. His plans are merely delayed plus his minions are still at large causing havoc.

depends because they have only reveal the Admech codex so far, So it probably the only  40K release that is slated until their next preview show airs.

Sister and Orks are on the horizon but their Codex hasn't been reveal yet so they are probably slated for May and June respectively

Rumour was Orks in the summer I think- this year was due to be AoS centric.

  20. I read a few bits from that video between Teclis and Alarielle - Teclis seems to have just banished Nagash back to his realm in Shyish, bound to stay there for a long time- Alarielle seems to think Nagash will be back sooner looking vengeance.. Also Alarielle talks of Spring coming, and she has her agents working to free the Realms.. perhaps she freed Kragnos.. All looking very interesting, `Allarielle looking very powerful, Nagash seems to have just had a setback[after overextending himself and invading another gods realm- plus Alarielle had to intervene to help Teclis] and has wounded/marked Teclis in some way. Plus the Nighthaunt, Bonereapers and Gravelords are still out and about doing his bidding [or not]. sounds like another good book.

Really excited about what happens next.
