  1. Just read some fluff spoilers - you were right 😉
  2. Nothing dead really dies does it? I think it just knocks Nagash down a peg or two for a while and leaves his mortarchs free to rampage and scheme. It just means for the next while Death isn't unified, but none of the Grand Alliances are now. Also re-reading it Kragnos could be seen as a weapon unleashed by Alarielle - interesting that her agents are directing the wrath of life thats to be unleashed.
  3. The stuff around Alarielle is very interesting, the idea of Life flowing through the realms and not necessarily being a good thing, Kragnos seems to be set up as a new big bad.. I'm not sure how this links with my hopes of deer/centaur elves. Alarielle is sounding very powerful in this book, interested to see what it means for her and the Sylvaneth. I like the mention of a Kharadron ship mistress too, sounds good.
  4. Alarielle, Mannfred and the forces of Nurgle are all mentioned so maybe that short story was setting up for events in this BR book, I was expecting it to be in a later one.
  5. No it was more like" Nagash is scheming.. also something is going down in Chamon so watch out" to my reading of it anyway. Still not a clue which way the Kragnos thing is going to go..
  6. Interesting.. especially if he's related Mathlann.. I still think he's an older god that will adopt the Kurnothi, lets them create something new rather than a reworked Orion model but as a centaur rather than a satyr, the different armour design due to him being from another time and another civilisation . The symbols on his shield look a bit Pictish and seem to be sun/moon designs. I think the top of his mace is a flat sun- natural cycles maybe. Hopefully next week we'll get a new pice of fiction/the story from BR Teclis which might give us some hints as to where he fits in. Could be- maybe more of a free agent like Belakor.
  7. Could be the opposite- they could have a "Green Summer" or "Summer of Orks". I think the greenskins are in need of an update- the way they did with Necrons n 40k. They've only had the IronJaw and Gits releases which is really small. The Bonesplittas are from WFB - they could do with more variety of poses for starters, they could bring back Wolf Riders and other clans and expand the Destruction faction of the back of that. Orcs are iconic and their model range for AoS is much reduced, they need updating and added to. [I'm not a greenskin player/collector btw]. I could definitely see them doing new types of Ogres due to the narrative of Cursed City but I reckon the Green lads will be front and centre for the launch.
  8. Sounds good and pretty likely- announced this Sunday then Definitely looks that way, they did the same with 40k last year even though some folks expected it to be delayed due to Corona. I would be very interested to see an AoS version of Indomitus- love to see what they will do to expand and rework the destruction factions and what might follow- war machines/ a small giant/big troggoth as part fo the set.. Stormcast- I'd prefer a CoS force with Stormcast but they could rework the earlier kits of Stormcast as I think their design approach to Stormcast has gotten much more interesting as AoS has gone on. But Freeguild, Knights of Sigmar etc would be excellent and could add in non human elements of cities too like a dwarf weapon team or aelf rangers..
  9. Yeah.. someones going to be disappointed! I'm waiting for Horticulus TGA to weigh in - he's usually good for sniffing out rumours and suggesting hypotheticals.. he seems very quiet too at the moment... 🧐
  10. Could be that Kragnos might be in opposition the Waagh.. and the Orruks are sensing a challenge.. the connection to them could be he is a Hunter god. Plus Kragnos being in opposition would tie in with the Tzeentch prophesy of doom for the Bad Moon gits. Doesn't sound like they are heading to meet a new god pal.. the Loonking then drew on the power of the Bad Moon so still firmly Gorkamorka faction. Can't really see the green skins being led by a giant centaur.. stranger things have happened though! Exactly.. and might blame Orruks.. [I read a bit of fluff that the Orruks destroyed a lot of the civilisations - maybe they are responsible for the destruction of his people]. Either way its still uncertain- I still flip between - he's definitely Order to he's definitely Destruction..
  11. Good catch- definitely sounds like him -especially the part about pushing through walls.. interesting.. Still complicated though- they sense a god is coming but how are they reacting- ready to join him or ready to fight. That story might suggest the Orruks are splitting.. but then again Gordrakk is the Fist of Gork leading all those forces and the Gobbo chieftain who feels the Thump thump thing in later fiction manifests the Bad Moon . It’s intriguing but I think you could be on to something..
  12. Yeah but he's looking at a ruined city so it looks like a destroyed civilisation. Exactly - we can't tell what this is- which is pretty cool. One thing though the build up so far in BR for destruction has centred around the massive army of Orruks and friends heading to Excelsis - a Gorkamorka force. Seems a bit strange that suddenly another deity for them would pop up, not impossible but to me seems less likely. Hopefully we will start to see hints in stories/the upcoming books to drop hints of who he might be. The only hints I'm aware of are of the Beastgrave entity and the Kurnothi being leaderless , but maybe he's something that hasn't even been mentioned yet.
  13. Absolutely amazing model! Love this sculpt- the pose, the sweep of the gown into the hair..the thin, aristrocratic form.. definitely buying this! The vampire sculpts themselves are just top notch, think I'll put a little collection together just to paint.
  14. Hmmm.. rereading the bits on Lexicanium etc I may have gotten mixed up and got 2+2=57.5 😬 They talk of many kingdoms/ civilisations existing there which venerated hunting but which were laid waste in the time of Chaos by Orruks and Chaos. Separately under the Kurnoth entry they say he is one of several aelven deities worshipped but the only one on the same level as Alarielle. Also his incarnation as "The Old Stag" is noted to perhaps reference the older god he was formed from [which is interesting - maybe Kragnos is Kurnoth's dad..seems to be a much older entity from the name ]. Heres the links- https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Realm_of_Ghur https://ageofsigmar.fandom.com/wiki/Realm_of_Ghur https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Kurnoth
  15. Yeah thats a worry- if he leads a beasts centaur destruction army Kurnothi could end up being just wanderer type models. He could be just an individual model though to add to the destruction grand alliance. I think "his people are gone" means he will be leading some faction that wasn't initially his- so possibly Kurnothi as there may be similarity or a destruction/BoC faction. I do like the idea of a massive centaur leading a wild hunt, Kurnoth possibly appearing like Mathlann as a shard/memory [even just for now]. Reading a bit of the Ghur fluff there are lots of Hunter gods so they could be related and their were also hunter civilisations which got destroyed by Iron Jaws. I do love this as I swing from "he's for Kurnothi" to "he's definitely Destruction".. hopefully we'll start to get hints soon. Destruction narrative has been around Gordrakk so far - would be odd to suddenly change to another character so I am hopeful Kragnos is for Kurnothi, albeit as an adopted god/leader rather than directly related to Kurnoth.
  16. Yeah - I looked and basically the guesses went 2 ways, the same as here, Kurnothi or Beastmen/shaggoths so who knows. There must have hints of something coming as they usually seed an idea of something coming? There are arguments for both - Kurnothi have been appearing and have been battling Gravelords, but AoS 3 looks to be Destruction centric so it could be a new Destruction beast army. I haven't a clue really between the two, my hope that he is an older Hunter god who will adopt the Kurnothi as his own since he's lost his own people. Equally though the new destruction faction could open things up more. On the Vamp cover - it is excellent and I'd love to see Direwolves done like the one on the cover, someone also seemed to spot a mounted /winged model in the background of the video- maybe that Abyssal Terror or a Winged Nightmare. I expect there's more to be seen for the Vamps..
  17. I think it could be a new destruction force- the question is if it is elfy or beastly centaurs. I did have a thought that he is a god without a people and the Kurnothi are a people without a god.. he might take his place there similar to Morathi and the khainites [without the deception]. But really no idea which way its going to go... and dying to know too! The Gravelords look great - My favourite is the female blood dragon banner bearer -shes great! looks like a great bunch of models but I reckon we haven't seen everything - they need a centrepiece model maybe? Love the bats, the skeletons are great sculpts but I'm not wild about them and prefer the current style, zombies are a big improvement!
  18. Beastgrave is the mountain.. as in its a god beast not a god.. Could be Kurnoth's replacement .. Keeps Kurnothi separate from Sylvaneth, perhaps having list his people he adopts the Kurnothi??
  19. Actually he has the Kurnothi hair from the Underworlds war band. ... They look like they are fairly chucking these BR books out- we know the next 3 titles which haven't been released yet. Definitely looks like they are rushing towards 3rd ed AoS this summer the way they did with Psychic Awakening last year in the run up to the new 40k edition.
  20. Hoping Kurnothi, thinking Beastmen/destruction Really hoping.. My thought.. I was totally gutted by that - was hoping for BR: Alarielle - this guy could be a new destruction faction, plus his shield has the recent rumour engine which I was thought was dwarf .. Hoping, hoping he is something to do with Kurnoth [either a similar character or merely a different name for him]. Definetly beast themed, but chaos/order/destruction remains to be seen..
  21. Yeah I thought could be a feint focusing forces there rather than elsewhere or could he be setting it up so he appears to be be defeated to perhaps give him some distance from Nagash? Very interested in how Alarielle is affected through these developments .. [bring on the Kurnothi].. Thos zombies look interesting.. clearly have the tree roots thing but more upright than the Cursed City ones and no tombstones on their backs.
  22. I'm thinking Grungni war machine for a new dwarf faction.. something like the old dwarf juggernaut .
  23. Getting a dwarf vibe off that- well constructed/engineered plus the blurb [which may have nothing to do with it] - hints days long past. Looks very clean for 40k imperium.. probably wishful thinking on my part though.
  24. Looks like a Nid to me- Red Terror tail maybe? Its smaller than a fex, thats the second Nid tail- hopefully get a reasonable release in the future-maybe the Autumn?
