I'm looking forward to the upcoming Battletome - I've always had an interest in the idea of Anvilgard and I do have some Scourge Privateer bits lying around somewhere...
-
Good to know that all the upcoming Warcry warbands will have StD Warscrolls - in units of 8-32 according the ones up on the NZ GW site. 👌

Updated Marauder models (to match the Godsworn Hunt) and adding in the various Warcry warbands please!

I'd love to see an example of one of the scrolls you have converted into WQ. Trying to do the same for some destruction units but have defaulted to just using the grot scuttlings stats for moonclan but really want to run troggoths too.
You might have to go back a page or two, but look for a thread on this WHQ board called "Custom Exotic Adversaries" or something along those lines. They haven't been updated in a while, but hopefully should give you some ideas!

Does anybody have a formula for converting AOS stats to WQ?
There isn’t a formula. 😉
Best thing to do is pick the closest existing Adversary, then work from there.
When I’ve done a load of houserules for Adversaries in the past, I’ve compared how GW have translated the AoS Warscrolls across to their respective Adversary cards (what’s the same, what’s different, formatting and syntax of rules wording etc...)
It’s hard to explain but looking across like this you can start to pick up how GW have done theirs.

Copywriten material, so that’s a no I’m afraid!
I own the cards, but to be honest their rules aren’t much to write home about - it’ll be easier just to come up with some of your own and playtest them. That way you can tailor them to the models you own.

Hi, just new to TGA.
Found quoted posting, just a few days old. Couldn't find the announcement you've been talking of. Maybe you could post a link?
Latest update to the FAQ on the Warhammer Community site.
Returning models lose all counters but keep upgrades, nice boost for Skaven and the Sepulchral Guard (not to mention the Blue Horror in the upcoming Eyes of the Nine)!

A lovely little collection of nautical Aelves!
What colours are you using for the NMM on the Corsair's flag?
-
I'm aware of that rule, although I haven't played Quest in a while now.
Acolytes have 6 different weapon options, so on a roll of 18 on 3D6 you could theoretically have 3 of each type on the board.
-
I only realised this halfway through writing my last comment, so I stuck with it. ?
At least with that many you can have plenty of each weapon option available.
-
An excellent list, although I would suggest to keep the Acolytes (from the Changecult) as you need at least 18 (3D6) for the Chaos Adversary group.
Mind you, combining the ones you get from both Silver Tower and SoH would technically give you 18 Acolytes. ?

@Circus of Paint As a side note, you didn’t include the caveats in the “Exotic adversaries” from the Silver Tower Guidebook (Screamers and Flamers) Of 1 per player
Thats’s the only difference between the Guidebook and the Adversary cards, so I only put them down under Adversary cards. You buy either 3 Flamers or Screamers and it doesn’t matter which rules source you use - 1 per player (up to 3) or a straight D3 roll for Adversary generation yields practically the same result for a standard 4-Hero party.
The only duplicate entries are the Kairic Acolytes, Horrors and Tzaangor - as the set number of models you get in Silver Tower wouldn’t fulfil the maximum you could generate from the respective Chaos Adversary card.
In addition, both Kairic Acolytes and Tzaangor gain additional command options based on their full plastics kits which weren’t available until after Silver Tower came out.
Another small difference between Silver Tower and the cards is that both the Herald of Tzeentch and Gaunt Summoner gain additional Adversaries when used in SoH (Silver Tower has bespoke rules for objective room Adversaries.)
Hope that clears that up!

The Lord Of Plagues also had a release in White Dwarf, though that unit ended up in both the boxed and app versions.
@Circus of Paint Did you also keep track of the additional adversaries added?
That's all the Adversaries - including the ones included in the boxed games! In the case of multiple sources, I've added them under Adversary cards (even if they were also in White Dwarf at some point) as the cards were the most recent.
Some of them also have duplicates, as the Silver Tower groups have a set quantity as opposed to the variable number generated by those in the Chaos Adversary cards.

It’s 6 - each one technically fires 3 shots but the profile has been changed to incorporate both launchers as one singular profile.

@Ravinsild Lucky I kept a record!

There are actually Heroes that aren't in either the card packs, or the App.
Correct, I have all those White Dwarfs too!
-
It's a shame they haven't added them to the app, so at least there's an option for those who can't pick up the physical cards.
Not an issue for me though!

So new to the game myself, and housemate wants to play Free Guild and bought the Hammerhal box w extra unit of Crossbow and Militia - However he also has the AElves from the Spire of Dawn (ala Island of Blood) box, a Skycutter, AElf chariot, and the Stormcast half of the Soul Wars box
So given this, what would you recommend for the best city for such a force? Or based off the different cities, are there any which are 100% a no go?
Bit of a newb, so excuse if these are stupid questions!
Stormcast, Free Peoples and Swifthawk Agents together can make up either Tempest’s Eye (for 1st turn movement bonuses) or Hammerhal (which includes anything Order other than Seraphon).

"Darkoath/beastmen" implies they are a single faction.
I would love to see new beastmen models that are as good as and fit with the two darkoath models!
Darkoath and Beastmen as a duel faction would be neat. Big opportunity for some really dynamic action poses as well as a good opportunity to explore the mutants and turn-skins that blue the lines between each.

I can see what you're both saying.
I read that last sentence as meaning having specific faction allegiance abilities locks you into that Allegiance, but it doesn't actually specify that.
My mistake!
-
I get what you're saying, but (as far as I read it) you must use the faction specific Allegiance and abilities if your army would be applicable to do so.
If I took only STORMCAST ETERNAL units (except Allies), I would have to pick Stormcast as the Allegiance as it exists as it's own faction Allegiance.

I noticed something interesting in the most recent FAQ for the General’s Handbook;
If you pick an allegience with existing allegience abilities (Stormcast for example) then you cannot choose to use the Grand Alliance abilities instead of that faction’s bespoke abilities.
For Free City armies this means you can’t just use a pure Stormcast army and pick Order allegience to benefit from a Free City.
Makes sense I suppose, as the Free Cities are supposed to represent a cross section of different Order factions coming together.

One of the Endless spells from Malign Sorcery.
Well, technically there's two as they come in a pair!
Warcry- Cypher Lords Discussion

I'll probably dip in the Chaos warbands starting with Cypher Lords. Gotta paint some long-outstanding DoK first and Warcry seems a great excuse to do so!
Personally I find their whole look really fascinating and a great glimpse at our first "proper" Hyshians.
