  1. Copywriten material, so that’s a no I’m afraid! I own the cards, but to be honest their rules aren’t much to write home about - it’ll be easier just to come up with some of your own and playtest them. That way you can tailor them to the models you own.
  2. We got slaughtered very quickly into the second expedition, so started completely afresh with the same explorers. Playing more carefully and having a better understanding of the rules has kept us going longer this time around so far. I’m still unclear on how grevious wounds are healed, I think it’s in the Precipice rulebook.
  3. Aside from grevious wounds being very hard to shift when they stack combat after combat encounter, I find the rules balanced and most importantly - fun! The Legacy cards are a great addition, adds a new dynamic to the next exploration onwards. Naturally, I drew the Chaos Lord after my second exploration. 😭
  4. Latest update to the FAQ on the Warhammer Community site. Returning models lose all counters but keep upgrades, nice boost for Skaven and the Sepulchral Guard (not to mention the Blue Horror in the upcoming Eyes of the Nine)!
  5. Technically I would say that Varclav the Cruel is more a Spirit Torment then the Briar Queen - Varclav was Shadespire’s former head warden.
  6. Lots of comparing and contrasting to existing Adversaries mainly! Picking several similar existing Adversary groups and slowly working from there is the approach I take. I always also reference the AoS warscroll as well, to translate across as best I can. At the end of the day though, I picture how I see the Adversary I’m trying to write and how I want it to act and interact with the Heroes, board and other Adversaries around it / them. My favourite Adversaries are the ones like the Deathrunner whose behaviour changes dependant in certain actions / outcomes.

  8. Luckily you only need 5 Chainrasps for their Adversary group, although having a spare is always useful.

  10. There’s very little artwork that depicts Ulgu, but this one from the Core Rulebook gives a really good impression of just how murky it is;
  11. Here's the first go at Blood Sisters (mainly as I have some on the hobby desk at the moment): Feedback appreciated as always - especially on the wording for both the Slithering Grace and Crystal Touch special rules. I want to make sure both of those are completely clear in particular!
  12. I'm aware of that rule, although I haven't played Quest in a while now. Acolytes have 6 different weapon options, so on a roll of 18 on 3D6 you could theoretically have 3 of each type on the board.
  13. I only realised this halfway through writing my last comment, so I stuck with it. ? At least with that many you can have plenty of each weapon option available.
  14. An excellent list, although I would suggest to keep the Acolytes (from the Changecult) as you need at least 18 (3D6) for the Chaos Adversary group. Mind you, combining the ones you get from both Silver Tower and SoH would technically give you 18 Acolytes. ?
  15. Thats’s the only difference between the Guidebook and the Adversary cards, so I only put them down under Adversary cards. You buy either 3 Flamers or Screamers and it doesn’t matter which rules source you use - 1 per player (up to 3) or a straight D3 roll for Adversary generation yields practically the same result for a standard 4-Hero party. The only duplicate entries are the Kairic Acolytes, Horrors and Tzaangor - as the set number of models you get in Silver Tower wouldn’t fulfil the maximum you could generate from the respective Chaos Adversary card. In addition, both Kairic Acolytes and Tzaangor gain additional command options based on their full plastics kits which weren’t available until after Silver Tower came out. Another small difference between Silver Tower and the cards is that both the Herald of Tzeentch and Gaunt Summoner gain additional Adversaries when used in SoH (Silver Tower has bespoke rules for objective room Adversaries.) Hope that clears that up!
  16. That's all the Adversaries - including the ones included in the boxed games! In the case of multiple sources, I've added them under Adversary cards (even if they were also in White Dwarf at some point) as the cards were the most recent. Some of them also have duplicates, as the Silver Tower groups have a set quantity as opposed to the variable number generated by those in the Chaos Adversary cards.
  17. It’s 6 - each one technically fires 3 shots but the profile has been changed to incorporate both launchers as one singular profile.
  18. You're welcome! Next up I'm going to change tack and give either Daughters of Khaine, Idoneth Deepkin or Sylvaneth a little go - so if anyone has a particular preference do let me know. I'll probably only stick to some of the units I actually own, so Witch Aelves, Blood Sisters, Namarti, Spite-Revenants...again unless anyone has any particular Adversary type they'd like to see!
  19. It's a shame they haven't added them to the app, so at least there's an option for those who can't pick up the physical cards. Not an issue for me though! *gently pats Silver Tower Hero and Chaos Adversary card packs*
  20. Why not collect the entirety of a faction that can't ally with anything else - AELF*! Step 1 - Mistweaver Saih Step 2 - Tenebrael Shard ... AELF.....ironically not able to ally with the other dozen Aelven factions.....literally twelve other Aelven factions..... (I still love them though!) *Hammerhal doesn't count!

    I'm gonna be that guy and point out that Idoneth Deepkin aren't actually pirates, at least they're not to me in the conventional sense of the word. Scourge Privateers on the other hand would (in the background) go well thematically with Kharadron Overlords as part of a Free City, maybe chuck in some of the seedier elements of Free Peoples as well? A great narrative hook (hurr!) for a Skirmish warband. In terms of the main game itself, I'll echo what the others have said and suggest picking one faction or the other if we're talking about game tactics here. As far as I am aware they have zero synergy with each other other than maybe as a Hammerhal army?
