  1. This is the list I'm going to start running. Decent shooting to take off key heroes, two strong combat threats, WLV for mortals and area denial and then two bells for obvious reasons. I'm just unsure if I have enough bodies to keep the Clawlord alive with Verminous Valour. I guess if the enemy is aiming to kill him then they're letting the stronger units off Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220) - General - Trait: Master of Magic - Artefact: Aetherquartz Brooch - Lore of Ruin: Death Frenzy Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220) - Lore of Ruin: Plague Skaven Clawlord on Brood Horror (160) - Mighty Warlord Command Trait: Verminous Valour 40 x Stormvermin (450) 20 x Clanrats (120) 20 x Clanrats (120) 40 x Plague Monks (280) 6 x Warplock Jezzails (280) Warp Lightning Vortex (100) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Wounds: 166
  2. Looks very strong. You sadly cant have 2 Icons of Pestilence and 2 Doom Gongs. To make it even stronger? Maybe change the Warpseer for a Seer on Bell with Death Frenzy. That's a very good spell for the Plague Monks. With the left over 80 points, that can boost the 20 clanrats to 40. With Death Frenzy and the extra attack from the Clawlord, Clanrats can put out some decent damage themselves.
  3. Until an FAQ , it works for Verminous Valour too. With double Death Frenzy it can be quite crazy! I've been thinking of lists which work well with each other. There's no shooting or endless spells but I'm sure they will be capable of holding their own whilst going with a different route to the usual Magic/Shooting lists we see from Skaven. Just trying to work out which I'd prefer to paint and test first. Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220) - General - Trait: Master of Magic - Artefact: Skavenbrew - Lore of Ruin: Death Frenzy Verminlord Warbringer (280) Arch-Warlock (160) - Artefact: Vigordust Injector - Lore of Warpvolt Galvanism: Chain Warp Lightning Plague Priest on Plague Furnace (200) 3 x 20 Clanrats (360) 2 x 40 Plague Monks (560) Congregation of Filth (160) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 2 Wounds: 184 Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220) - General - Trait: Master of Magic - Artefact: Skavenbrew - Lore of Ruin: Death Frenzy Verminlord Warbringer (280) Arch-Warlock (160) - Artefact: Vigordust Injector - Lore of Warpvolt Galvanism: Chain Warp Lightning Clawlord (100) 40 x Stormvermin (450) 3 x 40 Clanrats (600) Claw-horde (180) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Wounds: 196
  4. We were talking about making an attack with Dreaded Death Frenzy. Skavenbrew causes D3 mortal wounds, which if the unit had Death Frenzy on, would be able to pile in and attack with before being removed if in combat of course.
  5. @Gwendar Thanks for your input. I've decided with the Warbringer and Corruptor. One bell with Master of Magic and Death Frenzy, the other with Skitterleap. The Corruptor has the Sword of Judgement. I thought Skitterleap will help with positioning if needed, as well as an Verminlords I summon.
  6. I have a tournament in December where you can display a summoning pool alongside your army. So I thought it might be a great time to get all 5 Verminlords on the table. This is the 'core' of the list, I just need to decide which two Verminlords as well as General/Artefacts would be best to take. I know it wont be a competitive list, but might need your help to make it as strong as possible. Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220)- Lore of Ruin: Death FrenzyGrey Seer on Screaming Bell (220)- Lore of Ruin: Warpgale40 x Stormvermin (450)20 x Clanrats (120)20 x Clanrats (120)40 x Plague Monks (280)
  7. So all weekend I've been pondering over a few lists. I've been trying to reduce the redundancy of certain aspects of the list while keeping a core of fairly survivable heroes and lots of rats with Death Frenzy. Here is what I've come up with. I'd love to hear what your favourite list is and if I should make any changes to it.
  8. I think the option of going first will always be preferred. It will always be decided game by game. Do you need to get to an objective first or can you wait? Do you want to advance up the battlefield before they get a round of shooting off? Do you need a buff/spell to go off? A lot of players like playing a reaction game to what the opponent does. You'll also want to consider the possibility of the double turn. Will that benefit yourself more than your opponent? I really like the Clawhorde battalion. It gets your battleline units sorted in one drop and you bag an extra CP and artefact.
  9. I've been thinking about this list also. It has three pretty survivable heroes, lots of bodies and everything can benefit from the Death Frenzy. Only 6 drops too! LeadersGrey Seer on Screaming Bell (220)- General- Trait: Master of Magic - Artefact: Suspicious Stone - Lore of Ruin: Death FrenzyGrey Seer on Screaming Bell (220)- Artefact: Ethereal Amulet - Lore of Ruin: WarpgalePlague Priest on Plague Furnace (200)Battleline40 x Clanrats (200)40 x Clanrats (200)40 x Clanrats (200)Units40 x Plague Monks (280)40 x Plague Monks (280)BattalionsCongregation of Filth (160)Total: 1960 / 2000Extra Command Points: 1Wounds: 239
  10. So I'm looking at this as my set up for the army. There's a few things I'd like to ask/discuss. What traits, artefacts and spells should I take? I've been thinking about the Warpseer with the MoM & stone to make keep him tanky and extra cast for his spell. I'm not sure about the Bell. Should I maybe take Death Frenzy which can be used on all my units. What are your thoughts on Skavenbrew as the additional artefact? Will the bell need some more suitability (maybe in another save or ethereal)? The Seer, Skitterleap worth it for the reposition of a few heroes. Or maybe Plague or Warpgale with the tokens? Is this seer even needed? Verminlord Warpseer (300)- General- Trait: Master of Magic - Artefact: Suspicious Stone Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (220)- Lore of Ruin: WarpgaleGrey Seer (140)- Lore of Ruin: SkitterleapClawlord (100)- Mighty Warlord Command Trait: Brutal FuryBattleline40 x Stormvermin (450)40 x Clanrats (200)20 x Clanrats (120)40 x Plague Monks (280)BattalionsClaw-horde (180)Total: 1990 / 2000Extra Command Points: 1 The other thing I could do is drop the Stormvermin down to 10. With increasing the other clanrats to 40, this would leave me with 260 points. At this point is it worth taking WLV? Maybe even with an Arch-Warlock for the re-roll? Would I then struggle with an additional unit which has damage potential? Thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Hey guys and gals, I'm looking to remove the monks from this list as I am hating painting them right now! What would you say would be best to add? Allegiance: Skaventide Mortal Realm: Hysh Leaders Verminlord Warpseer (300) - General - Trait: Supreme Manipulator - Artefact: Aetherquartz Brooch Skaven Clawlord on Brood Horror (180) - Artefact: Mirrored Cuirass - Mighty Warlord Command Trait: Verminous Valour Grey Seer (140) - Lore of Ruin: Death Frenzy Clawlord (100) - Mighty Warlord Command Trait: Brutal Fury Battleline 40 x Stormvermin (450) - Halberd & Shield 40 x Clanrats (200) - Rusty Spear 20 x Clanrats (120) - Rusty Blade Units 40 x Plague Monks (280) - Woe-stave - 1x Icon of Pestilence - 1x Contagion Banner - 1x Doom Gongs - 1x Bale Chimes Battalions Claw-horde (180) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 2 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 170
  12. Hi there. Just building my list now to be as versatile as possible. Here it is- LeadersVerminlord Warpseer (300)- General- Artefact: Suspicious Stone Skaven Clawlord on Brood Horror (180)- Mighty Warlord Command Trait: Verminous ValourWarlock Bombardier (100)- Lore of Warpvolt Galvanism: More-more-more Warp Power!Verminlord Warbringer (280)Battleline40 x Clanrats (200)- Rusty Spear40 x Clanrats (200)- Rusty Spear20 x Clanrats (120)- Rusty BladeUnits6 x Warplock Jezzails (280)40 x Plague Monks (280)- Woe-stave- 1x Icon of Pestilence- 1x Contagion Banner- 1x Doom Gongs- 1x Bale ChimesEndless Spells / TerrainGeminids of Uhl-Gysh (60)Total: 2000 / 2000 I’m just looking at any ways to improve it. I could drop the Arch-Warlock down to a Bombardier and take another endless spell? Maybe Pallisade? I’m also considering changing the Suspious Stone on the Warpseer to the Aetherquartz Brooch to get these clanrats in a frenzy! What are your thoughts?
  13. Interested in picking this up. Does your Hero/Units get upgrades as they progress through a campaign? I like that idea in the Hinterlands ruleset.
