  1. Bow Namarti will most likely be a separate box. The legs are too different. Way more movement than the one set shown today.
  2. Just now from the German AoS FaceBook Page. Translation Picture: "The Idoneth Deepkin; They came from the Depth of the Sea" And the text next to it: "[…] How many different units can YOU spot?"
  3. GW 3D prints their prototyps for the box covers. So this doesnt rule out anything.
  4. They said on their FB Account that they pushed the 40K FAQ back for a bit to include the things they got from the Adepticon. It will be out shortly. Dont be so negativ. They had the AoS FAQ and the Codex/Battletome erratas out on time. Pushing back the FAQ to answer all the questions is the right move. People would be more annoyed if they have it out on time but miss out on some important questions.
  5. Most likely the old specialist game of the same name:
  6. Getting rid of Grand Alliance would create more problems than it would solve. If you would get rid of Grand Alliances now, you would have a whole lot of factions that are immediatly unplayable. (Lion Rangers, Ironweld Arsenal, etc.) All while fixing nothing. Grand Alliance armies are the narritive choice. People play them because they have a cool army idea or they want to play their old Fantasy army. (Besides that one Order army) GA armies are not very competitive. Also, I think people only put way more emphasis on the size of each Alliance than there is to them. A dwarfen player doesnt care about the recent Idoneth Deepkin release. Beastclaw Raiders doesnt satisfy that one specific itch a Ironjawz player has. Most people dont care about which Grand Alliances they are in. Its a tool to give players as much freedom as possible to build their army.
  7. Dont get me wrong. I enjoy 40K. The 8th edition is my favorite so far. But I like AoS as well. Especially all the small things that make AoS different from 40K. The Initiative roll, the alternating close combat activation and most of all, the simplicity. 40K has more variety and thematic fitting options but it takes more time to learn all of them. For example, I started playing both Thousand Sons in 40K and Daughters of Khaine in AoS. In 40K I have to make the right choice when choosing my army detachments, choosing the psi powers, unit equipment and strategems. All while in AoS I can just take the units I like to play. Sure, it lacks in complexity but If I want that I just could play Warhammer Fantasy. Sorry if Im rambling. In general, adding strategems and new magic powers can be good. I enjoyed the Malign Portents stuff. But I fear adding that to the core game could be another unnecessary level of complexity that goes against the simplicity of AoS that I like so much.
  8. There was a Thread on Bolter and Chainsword were someone asked for the size of Morathi, as he planned on turning her into a Fulgrim model. Atia just answered that he shouldn't start that project right now.
  9. The others talked about most factions already. But the Daughters of Khaine Battletome tells the story of how the Daughters have their own constant battles in Ulgu. Slaanesh scent lures more and more Slaaneshi Warbands into their realm. They first fought many battles during the age of chaos. This died down a little during the Realmgate wars but they are on the rise again with more Warbands coming into Ulgu again. The Daughters are in no way "safe". (Besides maybe Hag-Narr itself. But thats comparable to Azyrheim)
  10. Huh, my expectations for the new Shadespire war bands weren't very high. We have seen more than enough Stormcasts and Khorne Warriors before but I must say, I really like the Vanguard Hunters. The bird was my favorite bit in the Raptors box as well. Looking forward to add him as a Squad leader to my Vanguard Force.
  11. From DakkaDakka: "Posted by a local store rep, who is at GAMA Trade Show. No other information though on it, I guess it was the last slide."
  12. Just posted by the Age of Sigmar Facebook Site "The Mortal Realms are abuzz with whispers of who – or what – the Idoneth Deepkin are. Here's the last remaining testimony of one unfortunate seeker – perhaps it bears some hints to their true identity?"
  13. "GAMA is one of the world’s premier board gaming and tabletop trade shows, bringing together manufacturers and designers from around the world - and this year, Games Workshop will be taking this opportunity to make some major reveals. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled on Warhammer Community and the Warhammer TV, Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 Facebook pages for some exciting announcements on March 12th-March 16th. " Highlights made by me. I still think we can expect something coming out of this.
  14. No, its not. One is the Aleguzzler Destruction Giant the other is a Chaos Giant. Its similar rules on two warscrolls but not the same exact unit in two Alliances at the same time.
  15. Yes! Look at the bottom left of this picture I found on Spikey Bits. (https://spikeybits.com/2017/11/17-rumor-engine-pics-can-you-identify-them.html) 8th of february 2017. Thats over a year since they have shown us this picture.
  16. So, Bob from War-of-Sigmar posted this picture. The Daughters of Khaine can use the Idoneth Deepkin as allies. They must be really close.
  17. More Warhammer World pictures over at War-of-sigmar: https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2760 (more looks at Morathi) Atia also wrote in she will review Morathi and will have a fluff summary when the NDA ends at 0:01
  18. The Moon Base set includes the Ryza Pattern Ruins. I got one set separately. They are relatively simple but they have the right size. A cheap way to get lots of infantry sized cover.
  19. Ofcourse things are similar, they want to have some continuity when they rework a faction. They take the existing themes and take them in a new direction. Morathi is still scheming and looking for ways to gain power, because thats her character but the way how she tries to achieve this in the mortal realms are new. Everything can be boring if you reduce it enough. For example: Kharadron Overlords are exactly the same as the old Warhammer Dwarfs! Both have complicated machines and airships, both mine precious metals, both have grudges. Exactly the same! To make an analogy, the Daughters of Khaine are a new branch growing out of the old Dark Elves tree. Not a completely new tree like the Stormcast Eternals.
  20. Have you seen the video? They are not the same. They are still blood thirsty fanatics but the rest changed. Old Khanites weren't made out of elven souls and morathi blood. The old cult didnt searched the old world looking for pieces of Khaine. The old cult wasn't lead by Morathi who has the heart of Khaine and uses the prayers and rituals of the Khanites to ascend to godhood. They are similar but they are not the same.
  21. So, after reading trough the preview article my thoughts: First Morathi: "While you’ll start each game with Morathi in her form as an aelven queen, you can choose to transform her in any of your turns, while damaging her can cause her to lose control unexpectedly" I think this will be an interesting mechanic. You start the game with aelf Morathi. Smaller, weaker in close combat but with powerful command abilities and magic. The player can now decide when to give up these abilities in exchange for a powerful giant flying monster. While also giving the opponent a way to counter this by triggering the transformation by hurting her. Second: "offering new ways to build your army under the auspices of particular strongholds of the cults" looks like the cult strongholds will be similar to the Kharadron Skyports or the other subfactions GW is implementing in the new 40K codex at the moment (Forge Worlds, Regiments, Necron Dynasties). Which is greatly appreciated. This is one of my favorite elements of 40K and the Kharadrons right now. "You can even field the Khainite statue that usually stands atop the Shrine as a separate unit" Sounds awesome, but im not sure if the Statue is supposed to be a moving unit (representing a animated golem?) or just a piece of army specific scenery like the Brayherds herdstone or the Nurgle Gnarlmaw. Either way, I fun addition and a perfect use of the blood cauldron set. Also, can we please appreciate the Battletome cover art? I think this is one of the darkest cover artworks to date. Murderouse fanatics, giant idols of a dark god and a bloody sky. I love it! I don't plan on starting a Daughters of Khaine army, but I will get a Battletome just for the story alone!
  22. There will be a Battletome for the Daughters of Khaine. A old faction that will continue to use old models. Sure, GW may focus on new factions, but them revising old factions like the Phoenix Temple or the Swifthawk Agents has become more likely.
  23. I think the "completly new design" means that the faction has all new kits, think Kharadron Overlords instead of Daughters of Khaine. (no corsairs in the new faction)
  24. Yeah, aelfs riding literal fishes could be awkward. Maybe they are going for more fish-inspired magical creatures (like how the screamers of tzeentch are basicly deamonic rays). Or maybe they arent living creatures at all, instead magical constructs inspired by aquatic animals? Like the constructs in Disneys Atlantis:
