Its not exactly base size- but it is a pretty good measurement. Witch Aelves are pretty universally (from what I can tell) regarded as a very expensive unit and they are 60 USD for 10 32mm models. Can you imagine if these are 100 USD for 10 32mm models? Whether the price is determined by base size, sprues, perceived value, or the price of tea in China who knows. But you can usually look at the base size and figure out approximately what the cost will be. I don't know if sprues and perceived value play into base size or vice versa, but the fact remains. I suppose we will find out soon, but its an interesting discussion to have in the meantime haha.

They do it with Primaris Marines. I think this comes down to base size? The Khinerai people are mentioning are on 40mm bases. If the hoppers are on 40mm bases they could be 50 I suppose. Khinerai are 45 so it would still be an expensive box though.

GW hasn’t increased the price of an existing set (or de facto through reduction in models) in AoS I don’t believe.

I wonder where the Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig (this is one of the units in the Squigalanche Battalion) is? Maybe you can make it from the Mangler kit.

I think it’s a new unit. The squig battalion talks about sniffer units or something. Edit- Sorry it’s in one of the photos. They are called Sneaky Snufflers.

The art on the lore video was pretty cool. Book is looking quite good.

I’m hoping the one that is part of this release (if there is one) has a little less embellishment than the one for Underworlds.

I think it is for sure a new model. The old or revealed today models are not blurred out in the preview.

No, check out the second pic, something sinuous on the right hand side. There were rumors floating re: a giant centipede a couple months ago also.

Ha, they blurred out the new trolls in the preview of the book! It also looks like there is a giant Centipede, maybe with someone riding it? And for sure a giant mangler squig.

Those would be cool. I am hoping for new core models of some sort. We will find out soon!

That link I have seems to say that there will be a review of the Battletome in the first week of Jan. Waiting until 26 Jan after that seems like a long time. Not impossible but would be odd.

100 percent agree with both of these. For me, the AoS novellas were by far the best of the bunch.

You are right! And I hope quite badly they change their mind about resculpts also. I just do not want to get hopes up.

Chaos warriors are not in proportion at all. They weren’t in proportion to the fluff when they were first released (though I do think that for that time the models were well sculpted). I do agree that I don’t really expect them to be resculpted. I wish they would be, but all the pre-AoS rumors (that all turned out to be true) said GW was commited to not resculpting fantasy models.
