I just looked at the pic of the back of the book again- I am 90 percent certain I see the old Arkhan model on the left side, meaning the mounted model on the right is a new hero.

Idoneth not that I recall. That release was pretty well buttoned up. Gloomspite was pretty quick preview to release. But, there was a leak that led to a bunch of additional models being shown early.

And like I said- ironically I am way more hyped now about this release because of the potato pics than I was with the official GW announcement.

You know these new pictures make me wonder how they choose what to initially show. I am all the way on the hype train now, whereas the first pics were cool but I was still on the fence a bit.

No I didn't see an image except an extremely blurry one on the back of the book itself, which was either Arkhan or a mounted hero. No way to tell which it was. edit But, I should add the leaks had a warscroll for him, so he IS included.

Yeah that was pretty much what I was wondering, how easy it is to adapt digital animations to something workable in plastic.

I am going to fully expose my ignorance here but be gentle. Would it be possible to use the digital assets from Total War Warhammer I/II as the basis for 3D sculpting new models for AoS? If you haven't seen the game, Creative Assembly has always done a tremendous job with unit models that are beautiful and fit the lore perfectly. And so it makes me wonder for things like Kroxigors if Games Workshop could use those digital designs as the starting point to save time/effort/money.

I keep seeing the 25mm base size rumor for infantry doing the rounds, which seems off based on the pics from Nova. 25mm would be interesting and helpful to conversions based on existing skeletons I suppose, so that could be nice.

Archers would be great. I am also working on figuring out head swaps for the infantry.

I really like the cavalry, and the heroes. Not sure about the infantry so far. Hopefully a couple more angles or options for the heads makes the difference. Overall excited to see the rules/fluff.

I took a couple of screen shots of what looks like unit variants to me. Maybe the riders aren’t? But I thought I would err on the side of hopefulness.

I am sort of on the fence about the new army. Really like the cav though. Infantry seems odd. Also, this is the nail in Slaves to Darkness right? A fully developed army release out of order with the Malign Portent heralds. It seems highly likely to me whatever SoD was supposed to be- it turned into War Cry.

I think it’s very very unlikely GW previews Hysh Aelves (outside a game like Beastgrave) when they are showing a new Death army.

I have always thought the Lizardmen concept (aside from the name, which has been solved) was pretty unique. Would be quite unexpected if they were trashcanned.

Just what I said I was on about. Updated models. Do you have the BCR battletome? Have you seen how amazing the Yhetees and cats look in the artwork- and then looked at the garbage models? You really don’t think the range could use a box of three new Maneaters/new elite unit? So all of that is what I’m on about? My personal belief that units created in 2005 and 2011 are well past time to be updated.

Hugely disappointing for me if Ogors aren’t getting some new or refreshed units. On the the other hand- still excited for this not Tomb Kong’s army.
