  1. There are multiple outsourced ‘army painters’ that help with the bigger projects. Skreech passed along a comment. Instead of people saying ‘cool’ and being excited there was a big deal made, asking who the sources were and for proof etc, even questioning that there even are army painters out there, (there are btw). In any case I understand some were concerned about his friend getting into trouble but a simple pm could have avoided that if it was the true intent.

In any case I don’t want to devolve into a lengthy discussion. I have stated my opinions and I’ll let them be what they may. People need to maybe just take a breathe before ripping into others for no other reason than scepticism. You don’t have to believe what you read but if you are dismissing something someone shares why take the time and effort to dissect and analyze it if you don’t care and don’t believe?

    Just my 2cents.

  2. Just want to say that there is a certain toxicity by certain people on here regarding rumours and those who share the rumours. I myself have experienced it and it can feel like an interrogation/ witch hunt.

The last few attacks at skreech the last couple pages were uncalled for. He heard a rumour and shared it. Can people not just take it for what it is please. I myself have given up on sharing what I’ve heard as I am sure others have and will who have experienced similar vitriol.

    Just a thought.

Link to the half year plan?

The rules tweaks could easily be the magic update and "aos phase 2" could be literally anything.

Seems to be reaching at straws to come to 2nd edition aos. Though it would be cool I just dont see that happening alongside a magic update.

Lol I can’t link it I don’t have it. But you’ll see soon enough. As I said it may not be branded AoS 2 (just like 40k wasn’t branded 8 edition) actual branding soul wars, but there will be a new starter set and rule tweaks.

    Says who?

Says GW half year business plan for releases. Definitely a new starter set. Not sure on the rules changes because hard to get that info but people who used to work for gw have confirmed there will be rule tweaks and Martin Morrin on gw live cast confirmed AoS phase 2.

By the way, found this in the site of "Cargad":

    https://www.cargad.com/index.php/2018/04/09/juego-sombraguja-shadespire-nuevas-pyr-y-biblioteca-de-cartas-actualizada/

Translation and editing: Shadespire is fixing a few lines of AoS' future development. In fact, the storm mages were first designed for shadespire.

The next batch of warbands will change the landscape quite a lot. Specially the storm mages, more than the spectres, due to the range of their attacks. They will be released just after the supplement for magic meant for AOS that will release in june. Within it will appear new units (elementals, storm mages, and the new arch-prophet of gorkamorka) as well as a remodelling of the magic as it is in the vanilla game. It will be a softcover manual. 168 pages long.

Take it with a massive handful of salt.

NOt sure about the storm mage stuff coming from shadespire but the bit about the AoS magic (akin to the old warhammer -battlemagic) is what I have heard too.

All in all, from what we have heard, I still don't see a new starter set coming for AoS - a new expanded set of rules, yes. What is rumoured as a AoS Starter might just be the starter for Shadespire Season 2, especially with the reappearing rumours on Stormwizards and Ghosts

Again, its a matter of perspective, but I dont know what else you call a box with 2 factions in it and different rules than we currently have if it's not a 'new starter set'?

I would be extremely surprised if this was happening as it works in 40k. It would make destruction extremely powerful and would require huge points re-calculation for all forces, an absolute nightmare to implement.  As I've written before, charges before other combats works in 40k because it helps those forces weak at shooting (orks, tyranids) to become strong in combat in a game that's all about shooting. AoS isn't all about shooting, combat is the big phase for damage dealing.

    Prepare to be surprised.

Plus - its not like Destruction are tearing up the top tables in Tournaments right now so this change is also a balancing factor.

  8. It depends on what people constitute as a ‘new edition’.

AoS phase 2 if definitely happening, rules changes(such as charges going first) is happening, different magic (though likely in its own set) is happening.

Will it be branded as AoS second edition- I’m not sure but I doubt it.

  9. Deepkin releases should see us into mid May, then we should get some big AoS news at warhammer fest then the new stuff like new edition etc from what I’ve been told should start in June.

Deepkin a really wierd release pattern. We get the codex in April but it’s mainly a May release

Well spotted - I have heard that Stormcast riding flying mount may just be on their way and might be some of the most beatiful models GW have ever made....Check my comment in the last Rumour engine pic...:D

  11. I read the books I just don’t keep tabs on what’s coming out. I just get them when I see them.

but back on topic, Soul Wars and AoS phase 2 is a coming guys n gals.

That will make the warhammer fest and the scgt the last major tourneys before new edition drops.
