  1. I'm pretty sure it is unfortunately. This would have been a decision made months and months ago and I doubt this would reverse it. However, it might demonstrate that people are interested in the idea of Beasts of Chaos and if GW aren't doing anything already, might start playing around with the concept. But there is little chance that this would change the decision.
  2. Both? I think they are just rusted weapons they have found and are using. On another note.... Warhammer World are going to be selling tickets for a Painting workshop on the new Skaven on 18th May https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-mortal-realms-reforged-hobby-classes-skaven-tickets-871926855697?aff=ebdsoporgprofile&keep_tld=1 Not sure if it is a good deal for a painting workshop, but £100 for the knowledge, paints, brushes and model doesn't seem end of the world. Pretty sure my wife wouldn't see it like that though!
  3. +++ Mod Hat On +++ While it is valid to look at things and see how it may reference something disgusting, I'm very confident that is not what is being referred to with the Skaven standard bearer shown off today in the AOS4 model preview. I think it is good to question such things and never allow it into our lives, but I will state that I'm very confident that is not what GW intend (or want to!). Lets end the discussion about it now
  4. Yeah they are great. I've always wanted a Skaven army since reading the 4th edition Skaven army book and attempted it around 6th or 7th edition and cried a lot from painting slaves. I think I'm ready to attempt it again
  5. It seems a variation of this one from the 7th ed book I think. Not sure if it's for a specific Clan
  6. Very pleased. I was hoping they would do a refinement and not complete redesign on what it is to be a Skaven and they have done a great job. Think this will be the first AOS set where I want to paint up both sides rather than just one. Now if only GW would send an advance copy to a moderator of a certain forum to paint up in advance (note - chances of painting are slim)
  7. Looks like it won't be as annoying to assemble as the Kruleboyz in the starter set. Will be interesting to see what is shown off today (just a clanrat or more-more! )
  8. I doubt we will see road maps for a while. The issue I think they had was tying themselves into a commitment to customers and then for whatever issues behind the scenes (I suspect manufacturing) they struggle to get stuff out.
  9. Just to note but most GW stores do this when they have to send stock back either because it’s going to be repackaged, web store only or in this case discontinued. I do see why you can think about it leaving a sour taste but this is something that happens regularly. My local GW would update its Facebook to let people know you have a last chance to get it in store. I’ve found it’s a good way to get some limited edition stuff if you’re after it
  10. I think it will either be another Warscroll or we're seeing bits cut out in a similar way as the 40K reveals were done. Yeah probably not the best examples with two elite units on show. I'm confident it's not the case across the board but lets see as they slowly drip more information to us
  11. Yeah it took me a few attempts to read it. I got the jist/intention of what they are trying to do but I had to read it a few times to make sure it was what I thought it was. But being a Black Country lad, I don't worry too much about English and Spelling
  12. Also no idea if this was looked at in the new rules, but I would have liked to have seen an effect if units like Nagash die in game. I sort of see it as an Avatar containing some of his essence on the battlefield, so when it is destroyed I think it should go BOOM!
  13. Ah maybe! Good spot Depends how many units have it and what a mortal wound is in the new edition (I assume same as now but could be different)
  14. Quite like how this is all presented. Nice how it seems to fit into the whole approach although I think anybody who is colour blind may struggle if the symbols for the phases are too small. Now what is Power? It's mentioned on Nagash's scroll when he takes 10 or more damage points, but I can't spot any other reference to it? Is it to do with the control stat? I assume not as it would say so! EDIT - it's possible that like with 40K reveals, we aren't quite seeing everything?
  15. Just a note about Valrak - I like his enthusiasm but he is a YouTuber who makes money from you clicking and watching his videos. Always remember that
  16. 100% but again, I doubt that somebody in a public role would make a fool of themselves like that if they knew. I imagine they were told that everything would be supported as it would be a question you would ask in that role due to it having an impact on how you organise events. Yes I have, however I have still tried to phrase things in a way that stops me looking an idiot in the future. I learnt long ago, always tell the truth for work stuff as it will come back and get you if you don't! Might explain why I see things slightly differently, plus I have worked in enough UK companies to understand the politics and teams not talking to each other!
  17. Just to add my point of view from yesterday and god knows how many pages ago... I think this is a case of one department not talking to another. I doubt very much that the Head of Global events would say that if they knew as it would make them look silly when it happened. If you knew, you wouldn't say that and would stick with non comital phrases.
  18. +++ Mod Hat On +++ It doesn't matter when the account was created, everybody is entitled to their point of view. It is a two way street though, and I do think everybody needs to be mindful of others feelings at the moment. So keep the anger for GW the business, not other people.
  19. I don't think there is ever a good time but while I understand why some people are upset, it is good how you are being given a years notice of when they get moved to Legends and there will be rules to use which will be supported until summed 2025. I've been playing GW games for about 30 years now and I've seen variations of this through all that time. Some units get dropped from army book updates or get changed in composition and limited to how many weapons you can have in it. When became aware of GW stuff, the first models I saw were Squats and when I got into 40K they got quietly dropped (rumour at the time was Andy Chambers had a falling out with a friend who played Squats. He should have sorted it out the typical GW way on the Car Park - note this was a real rumour I heard at the time but clearly not true. The Car Park reference is also a joke that some ex GW staff joke about ). I went through the End Times and I remember racing around to get all the books they released for that. I even went to GW Stratford Upon Avon to get the Glottkin book (my local is Dudley). I spent £250 on books and more building an army which I found out months later got invalidated through the old world getting blown up. So I get the pain people are feeling, but what GW have done is miles better than what they have done in the past in similar situations.
  20. Totally get that. I’m going to aim to paint up stuff I have as Spearhead forces (Kruleboys and Flesh Eaters) but focusing on Warmaster at moment as got an event in May😁
  21. I don’t think that’s the best example (business selling you stuff compared to betrayal by the one you love), although I think it accurately describes how you are feeling. This screams people not talking to people. I’d say if somebody knew about what was going on, they wouldn’t have answered like that as it would make them look silly and bad. They would have answered saying probably or some other non committal answer.
  22. Free stuff to an out of school group which will allow children chance to play with miniature games. That’s it. They can use it for GW games or make their own up. It gives them a chance if they would never have it in first place.
