  1. Hello everyone!

As you are probably aware, Warhammer TV are setting up a weekly Twitch streaming channel this is actually kicking off today.

Keep reading and I will show you how to get a months access for free and also support the TGA Community.

Warhammer TV will be streaming 3 days a week at Twitch.TV/Warhammer covering Age of Sigmar, News and 40K

Twitch TV is owned by Amazon, and Amazon offer the amazing Amazon Prime service.  Along with the many benefits of Amazon prime, they include a free subscription to Twitch Prime.  What this gets you is advert free viewing and also access to a single Twitch subscription channel for free each month.  (I say free...., you are still playing for Prime)

The Twitch Prime FAQ - HERE explains how this works.  I have already subscribed using my Amazon Prim Membership and can confirm it works.

If you were to subscribe to the Twitch stream for a year it would cost around £60.  for less that £20 a year extra you get all the additional benefits of Prime like next day delivery, Amazon Instant video streaming, photo storage and lots more.  IMO its a great deal.

Support the TGA forum and Watch Warhammer TV for FREE!

So through the wonders of Amazon Affiliates you can now support The Grand Alliance community at the same time as supporting Games Workshop with their Warhammer TV channel, and also get all the cool stuff that is offered with Amazon Prime.

All you need to do is sign up here for a free Amazon Prime Trial using my links below.

This gets you 30 days access to prime and also get you 30 days access to a Twitch TV subscription service of your choice.

Just by taking the free trial using my affiliate link you will be supporting the forum and help to cover our running costs, even if you do not continue with the membership and cancel your renewal right away.

  4. Hi Guys,

GW have announced that they are working on a new generals handbook

    15196057_546993285497469_1164449807548585832_o.jpg

    Quote

In the months since the release of the General's Handbook, the game of Warhammer Age of Sigmar has gone from strength to strength. Covering three ways to play - open play, narrative play and matched play - this book is the trusty companion for thousands of Warhammer Age of Sigmar gamers the world over.

But these new rules were always intended to evolve as time went on, so now, we're looking to the people who use them most for help (that's you, the players).

What would you change about, or add to, the General's Handbook?

Let us know in the comments below, whether it be the narrative Battleplans, the points for Warscrolls or Battalions, Path to Glory campaign rules, the Three Rules of One, or anything else, and we'll send all your ideas on to the team writing the new book.

I propose that we collate a list of recommendations from this community and I will abuse my good fortune of having friends that work in Games Workshop to pass on our list to.

With a bit of luck we can come up with some cool ideas and structured suggestions!

Let me know what your feedback is and can I get a volunteer to collate/manage the feedback

    Thanks
    Ben

As @scrubyandwells already said, it's your even and you're allowed to rule however you wish. But this seems more like a comp than a rules interpretation.

It's a grey area ruling. I can make a solid argument for both ways.

    The question comes down to:

"does doing an action taken out of phase get all the benefits/restrictions as if it was in that phase"

Making a 'Move as if it was the movement phase' does not allow for 'substitute your move for another action like you could if it was the movement phase'

the FAQ you sited does not answer this.

I went with the way that feels less like pushing a loophole

navigating the realmroots in the hero phase is not happening! That one is not even grey! Moving in the hero phase does not allowing for skipping to the start of the movement phase to check wyldwoods within 3" before going back to the hero phase to make the move

  8.

I've been asked if rules that let you 'move as if it were the movement phase' and similar actions are allowed full scope as if it was the actual movement phase.  The answer is no.

E.G. A Sylvaneth unit that has the ability to move in the hero phase (as if it were the movement phase) would be allowed to make a move.

It WOULD NOT be allowed to walk the hidden paths, or to transport to the table from being deployed off the table.  These would both require it to be the actual movement phase, not just making a move as if it were.

  9. I'm going to go with that you do get the +1 to save for all scenery pieces.

Terrain Features and Scenery rules are separate things.  Cover just relies on it being a terrain feature.  Cover is granted for a terrain feature regardless of which 'scenery rules' it ends up with.

The 4 pages of rules uses 'Terrain feature' and 'Scenery' as interchangeable terms in the Battlefield and Mysterious Landscapes sections and war scrolls with the 'Scenery' keyword are refers to as scenery are terrain features too.

  10. I'll be updating the entry list again this weekend.  We are currently hovering around 75 players.  It would be great if we could get up to 100 at least.  We have room to get 130 in if demand is high enough.

Games Workshop have announced on their facebook page that they are supporting the event, more info on this in the coming weeks.

I've just placed an order with Frontline Gaming to supply game mats for all tables at the event.

    Official hashtag is #BLOODANDGLORY

  11. Terry,

I am answering most of these in the rulepacks when they are updated late this week.

    1. The Artefacts are Allegiance abilities.  See the headings at the top of the section areas 'Chaos Allegiance abilities', that then goes on to have sub sections of the various types, command traits, artefacts and so on.

    2. We won't be using the terrain warscroll rules, but if they have a different warscroll then they are a different type of terrain.  So you could bring 5 different 'buildings' assuming that they have different war scrolls (witch fate tor, skullvayne manse, watchtower.....)

    3. which terrain features don't have a type of warscroll?

  12. Draft rules packs added to the first post for all 4 events.

Scoring systems, Skirmish details and Painting document to be added late this week.

I hope to have all packs finalised by next Wednesday at the latest.

Ticket sales are going great with arounds 80 places sold.  I will post an entrants list at the weekend.
