  1. Honestly if they cancelled the new app and just updated the old one including the option to buy digital battletomes within it, I would be pretty happy.
  2. In second edition Khorne and Slaanesh shared a similar box set but Khorne got a couple of extra models later and Slaanesh got a massive release.
  3. Really? That would be an extremely tempting box set.
  4. Here's another genuine rumour for you. A Japanese games workshop store just posted a list of items that are set to be replaced. Here's the translation of the tweet. And here's the list of items. Most of this makes sense. Old kill team, malign sorcery, Soul wars, Stormcast and warclans battletomes. Two items stand out, however. The Skaven and Cities of Sigmar battletomes are in there. Could they be the next books to come for AoS??? Whitefang did hint at Skaven earlier and they are Chaos. Also new minis for Cities of Sigmar is one of the most requested things right now.
  5. 2 every three months is actually perfect timing to release 24 battletomes in 3 years. That said I wonder of this edition might last 4 years They could fill the gap with the old world and 4 years from now would be the 10th anniversary of AoS. Also the marines and Necrons books came in October a full 3 months after Indomitus. An early September release would be just 2 months after the launch of Dominion.
  6. I think this pretty much confirms that Kill Team is next and AoS will have to wait.
  7. ACTUAL RUMOUR TIME: According to Glass half dead the number one Kill Team Youtuber, that game will go up for pre-order on August 14th for £125. Not only that but it will be a two week pre-order like Dominion was. Unfortunately that means the battletomes will be on the 28th with a release in September. The good news is that there's still time to show some Kruleboyz cavalry.
  8. I think Forgeworld as we know it is essentially dead. It has been taken over by specialist games. I don't think we'll ever see them make minis for 40k or AoS ever again. Horus Heresy is about to get a big revamp and Warhammer fantasy is coming eventually. Those are massive projects. As for rules, the time to do an update was the launch of AoS3. If we haven't had anything already, we probably never will.
  9. Here's my two cents. I think a news thread is a good idea, but it should be just news and no discussion whatsoever. Keep the discussion in here but also post the pics or links in the news thread. It will keep that thread nice and short and easy to search. Quite a few of the posts in this thread are asking about rumours rather than sharing or discussing them. If people can just have a quick scan of the news thread to get up to date before they dive into the messiness of the rumour thread, that would probably help a lot.
  10. So let's say you have one of the big characters and the general, how many of the regular riders do you think we can fit in 2000 points? With a Stardrake and a dracoth general you can fit 10 regular dracoths in 2000 points. You have to imagine these will cost more points.
  11. I personally really hate the old Scyla. It's right up there with the razorgor as my least favourite sculpts. The new one is fine. As for today on the last three Mondays we have seen the AoS starters, the mouth of Mork and the Dragons. They all went up at 4pm UK time which is about an hour and a half from now. Really hoping we see the Drake riders today.
  12. New Scyla for Blood Bowl. A big improvement over the AoS version
  13. Don't forget Slaves to Darkness who got 15 new kits thanks to warcry including a whole new start collecting box so 17 kits if you count those units individually. Khorne got 5 kits, DoK got 4 kits and a bunch of stuff got one or two. I think we could see gloomspite style expansions for Skaven, Cities/Dawnbreaker, Seraphon, FEC, Mawtribes and Duardin. All new armies could be Umbraneth, Chaos Duardin and something new for destruction. That would give us about the same number of releases as 2nd edition. Then we will get a bunch of minor updates as well.
  14. As expected is Grey Knights and Thousand Sons next week with no preview. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/08/01/sunday-preview-thousand-sons-and-grey-knights-galore/ Hoping for a little something on Monday.
  15. An announcement tomorrow would mean a pre-order on August 7th. The 7th, 14th, and 21st will be the Grey Knights box, Kill Team and the battletomes but what order they will come in is anybody's guess.
  16. The 40k stuff tools absolutely ages but AoS releases tend to be more condensed. I think there's a good chance we see it all within a month.
  17. I finally got around to reading Broken Realms Kragnos and was surprised to see that Krondys and Karazai get a name check. It was them who made the deal with Kroak and gave up their eggs. This means that the dragons in the Seraphon short story are definitely different. Even without the hints from @Whitefang, I'm pretty convinced we still have more dragons to come. They said on Warhammer community that we would get a Stormcast battletome preview this week. Could we see the new dragons that soon?
  18. The Sin Guy you are referring to doesn't write the rules. Ben Johnson is a Product Developer. The rules are/were written by Jervis Johnson, Sam Pearson and Luis Aguilar (I think that's the right spelling). As the only genuinely competitive player in the studio as far as I'm aware, Ben's influence has pretty much all been for the good. The actual Sin Guy is probably Jervis. He definitely wrote the Gristlegore rules and the Skaven Vortex. Sam wrote cities and I think Luis wrote Slaves to Darkness. I'm not sure who wrote Lumineth. I also think that with just three of them, there's a certain amount of collaboration on everything.
  19. Unfortunately it does look like that's all we're getting for Kruleboyz. If I was to guess, I'd say the "for now" part refers to the next season of Underworlds. I don't think Whitefang has ever been wrong so I'm now expecting Stormcast cavalry to be the last reveal from these armies.
  20. Gw released their financial report today. Cursed city gets a name check. Looks like they simply didn't make enough. There also may be some hope for digital battletomes
  21. I think Karazai is the default sculpt. The pose is much more natural and pleasing, especially the spine. The twisted head on Krondys is much more jarring. From the front I think the official photos have done Karazai a disservice. This is the best angle and from here it looks fantastic. For Krondys, the designer tilted the body in a more upright position, which is a clever way of getting a bit of variety, added the armour plates and designed a new head. Despite being pitched as the principle character, Krondys definitely feels like the B model
  22. They aren't small. In fact I'd say they're pretty enormous.
  23. Here you go! They look awesome but not not what I was expecting. No riders!
