  1. Maybe. It's the Gallet connection that makes me think it could have been cancelled. The story has already moved past Gallet. It would be weird to return to it.
  2. Whitefang has a flawless track record. This definitely stands out. Could it have been cancelled after the mixed reaction to the first incarnate?
  3. Actually it's pretty close between 2023 and 2021. I did a quick count so my numbers may not be perfectly accurate. I didn't count the contents of the cursed city box or dominion seperately. If we assume AoS doesn't get anything else this year both years have the same number of Underworlds kits and 3 campaign books 2021 had 2 warcry box, 7 battletomes and 54 AoS kits plus Cursed city and Dominion. 2023 has had 9 battletomes, 48 kits counting the slaves stuff that was in the launch box last year, 4 warboxes and 2 more warbands. Hopefully we're not in for another 2022 next year. I'm still optimistic that the first half of the year will have some good surprises.
  4. We are in the middle of possibly the biggest AoS pre-order ever, so it's not entirely suprising that we might not see anything else AoS for a while, though we still have the battleforces to come. I had assumed that we would see Legions Imperialis next and book 4 on the 9th but now I'm pretty confident it will be next year unless they manage to squeeze it into the last week before Christmas.
  5. I think @Doko wins this one. To get back on topic. I think flavourful but competitively weak is a better direction for armies of renown than the broken KO and SoB ones.
  6. That's a cool idea but the skaven rumour comes from Whitefang who has never been wrong. The big question is whether there will be a 5th Dawnbringers book. I think there will be as it will fill the gap in the release schedule. With book 4 and FEC due in winter are we really going to have a spring with 0 AoS releases? Getting a new Korgas model in a hypothetical book 5 in the spring is definitely a possibility.
  7. The existence of this makes me worried about the intact Azyrite buildings. Since this is custom made maybe the other ones are too.
  8. Well if I was anything to do with that, I'm sorry. I just disagreed with your opinion. It turns out I was wrong. As for Vandus, it looks like he does feature in the story of book 3 so you weren't completely wrong about that part.
  9. I don't think anyone was 'angry'. We just chose to be optimistic. I still think you knew more than you were letting on. You do seem to get some kind of early notice at times. All that said, I think Dawnbringers might get one more multi unit addition which will probably be Darkoath. Everything else will probably just be heroes.
  10. The case of DoK is unique. They have a small number of kits that make an impressive number of units. The three infantry kits are all dual build and the cauldron of blood is probably the most versatile kit in all of Warhammer. One kit making 7 units is kind of crazy.
  11. Interesting. So does that mean a DoK hero for Dawnbringers and an LRL warcry warband?
  12. Happy to see this. The last one was really good. The Van Densts are a pretty f***** up family.
  13. Fun fact. Since the start of AoS DoK have been the least supported Order faction with just 10 kits, three fewer than Fyreslayers. In all AoS only FeC, BoC, Ogors, Skaven and Sons of Behemat have had fewer AoS kits. I think the three Underworlds warbands and the warcry warband have squewed people's perceptions.
  14. I don't think Whitefang has ever hinted at Khorne. The spear everyone thought was Valkia seems to be from a slaves to Darkness hero. Khorne are still possible but a Whitefang hint is the closest thing we have to an official announcement so I'm counting Whitefang rumours in the list but not anyone else's.
  15. Whitefang also liked this post from you @madmac. These two things together suggest Dawnbringers and not Warcry.
  16. @stll-young @madmac Whitefang liked this post which suggests an AoS character not a warcry thing.
  17. More likely new DoK hero for Dawnbringers, leading an anti Morathi faction. FEC, Fyreslayers, Gloomspite, Nurgle, Ironjawz, Stormcast, Sylvaneth, Slaves to Darkness and DoK. That makes ten counting two hinted at by Whitefang. Preemptive edit. I'm still think "elf but" means Elf but not Warcry rather than Elf but not order.
  18. I think the "but" from Whitefang's post is referring to warcry. I'm guessing it's a DoK version of Belthanos leading an anti Morathi subfaction. Having that faction secretly backed by Malerion would also be a pretty cool setup for some 4th edition shenanigans. Just a thought, but it could be cool.
  19. Yeah. It's in so many pictures and they even use it in the realms of ruin game. Surely it's going be sold at some point?!!?
  20. Two chaos boxes is 1900 points and two Soulblight boxes is 1980 points. Two of the Ossiarch box is 2400 points but I'm not sure anyone would want 8 morghast. 2 of the Seraphon box is 2200 points but I'm not sure you'd want two slann. I do think these boxes are designed as army starters rather than additions to existing armies.
  21. Really? I really like the Seraphon one. It has all my favourite models from the recent update. Obviously it price dependent but the chaos and soulblight ones both look like good candidates for doubling up.
  22. The weird thing about all this is that I don't think the Blacktalons are remotely out of line with GW's current pricing. A single Stormcast hero on foot costs £22.50 these days so you are getting 5 heroes for the price of two. They also all have sculpted bases which is a plus for me though I know some people might disagree. If it a choice between these guys or a couple of the current Stormcast heroes, I'm choosing the Backtalons every time.
  23. If you run Ionus, Krondys, and stomdrake guard, your going to have an 8 model army. There won't be much to remember.
  24. Looks like an interesting warscroll. Turning off inspiring presence and rally is pretty useful and he has quite a lot of ways to splash damage. Also at 400 points he makes a pretty good ally.
  25. GW are undeniably trying to encourage people to spend more money but they are pretty transparent at what they are doing. Everyone will be able to see all the rules on pre-order day. These books rarely go out of print and none of the box sets have sold out particularly quickly. As for GW minis, they are what they are. Aside from the finecast fiasco, I've always got exactly what I paid for. This is fundamentally different from video games or indeed anything electronic, which can have bugs or defects that you might not see until months after you buy the product. I wish GW products were cheaper but it's not something that I find terribly upsetting. We're not talking about medicine or electricity bills, but about plastic toys for adults.
