  1. Oh god, what dumb idea are they doing now? Dropping Idoneth into Lumineth? Souping Nurgle and Tzeentch? Making another bloody Incarnate?
  2. Warcry has some balance issues, yeah, but I think that they are definitely solvable, and even in 1.0 they still had rules for AoS models (Including Eltharion and Arkhan, albeit in story missions). My only concern is when the Idoneth and Bonereapers are getting their stuff during 4th edition, especially because I think I have finally gotten my resin bases right and can start on the rest of my Idoneth.
  3. Yeah, Clanrats shouldn’t really be “flashy” units. They come in a brick of 20, and you send them to tie down something important to stop it from killing the things you actually care about.
  4. Hold on, Children of Teclis was already released- and it wasn’t very good, IIRC
  5. Wow, Sigmar really is a thief- First he steals souls from Nagash and now he’s stealing his nouns!
  6. If your opponent is cool with that, I guess you could proxy them but that’s pushing it to about its maximum limit. But WYSIWYG refers more to weapons, where the difference between a Mortek with a Sword and a Mortek with a Spear ultimately isn’t very meaningful besides being less of a pain to form up because swords don’t get caught on the shield of the guy in front of them.
  7. Yeah, for OBR there was legitimately no reason to choose Spears over Swords, or the Swords over the Halberd for the Morghast. Spears only saw use with double reinforced Mortek Guard (A rarity) since their base size allowed them to fight in 2 ranks with swords, and because the Deathriders wanted to be run MSU and the reach doesn’t benefit them (Plus they’re already pillowfisted with swords. Spears would be worse.)
  8. Once again, that’s always how it has been and he never costs less than like, 700+ points. Plus, aren’t you the guy arguing for narrative over balancing? If anything, Nagash isn’t going hard enough by that metric!
  9. Nah, they’re gone. The rest of the Cursed City set are gone too.
  10. Personally if we’re recommending AoS books, I recommend both of Drekki Flynt’s books, but read them in order. It’s better that way.
  11. He doesn’t have them now as-is. He’s extremely basic in melee and most of his firepower was in magic. And now they’ve reworked his Machine Gun into a shotgun that can also heal and give a ward. Very curious to see his points cost.
  12. Bonus vs Infantry/Large (The trick the Namarti Thralls have on their blades)?
  13. It’s literally the same as it has been. Nagash losing the GW Mandated Mindgame would’ve bothered me more than them keeping it.
  14. Ah, then we’re stuck with the same godawful Mortal Wounds and Wards as 3rd Edition I guess. Shame, I hoped they’d be toned down substantially.
  15. I think they might do the 10th Edition thing where it just autowounds.
  16. Because, in the vein of Nagash, you want to add some drama and flair that could just as easily ****** you over.
  17. The Krondspine was so broken at launch it killed 4 things IRL! 1. The concept of Incarnates 2. The BoC Range 3. The Bonesplittaz 4. The Season of War books.
  18. He very much could. He outright did it for Chaos Dwarfs and right now, I figure it’s best we don’t get our copes up.
  19. Except they aren’t. Olynder is active, Nagash is rising again, and they’re still the best weapons against Daemons. The Sacrosanct withdrawing and saying “Mission accomplished” neglects to mention that literally every Nighthaunt character besides Reikenor are currently active
  20. They kind of painted themselves into a corner. They've basically used everyone that anyone actually cares about from Fantasy beyond minor characters, Tamurkhan, Nagash, Thanquol, Elspeth Von Draken, and Neferata. You won't find people enthusiastically gushing about Vladimir DoesntExist for Kislev because until Warhammer 3, they weren't really that expanded.
  21. I believe they are Parrah caste units (Though I'd need to check their emblems), who are canonically sent into exile to basically die as outriders and expendable scouts for the main army.
  22. Alternatively, if you want to play Nagash now, the mod for him is excellent.
  23. They absolutely should tell us what we can expect- Are Ogors staying? Are the Idoneth staying? Can we expect that the 2nd Generation Warcry Warbands will be sticking around long-term? If not, then what are the plans for updating the Gorgers long-term, and the Chameleon Skinks? This is a huge blow to my certainty that I would buy two of Briar and Bone because I wanted 2 of the Teratic Cohort, because if I can expect to see them dropped 2 years from now, there's no reason to buy more than one (Because I am neurotic about certain things and completing my Bonereapers are one of those things. The best thing they could do now would be reveal what is getting replaced, what's getting fully dropped, and what the lifespan on Warcry Warbands should be.
  24. The weirdest thing about all of this to me is that they're completely dropping support for the Warcry warbands. Not even "You'll be able to use them and maybe we'll do limited runs of them eventually", just full-stop "Nah, you can't use them in AoS or in Warcry". Which is a shame because the Splintered Fang and Tarantulos Brood look like they'd be fun to play in Warcry.
