Hasn't much of Beasts been unavailable for sale for quite awhile now? And web exclusive anyway? So it can't really hurt sales if theres nothing to sell. Plus, as far as I can tell Beasts stuff that is available is getting snatched up by TOW players fast. Also, its been suggested here that when things are rumored to be going away people often run out and buy them before they're done. ISK how true that is, but any of those factors could distort what GW sees (of they're aware of the rumor at all)

I mean, you should apologize. You were asked to stop, but instead QUOTED the post where you were asked to stop as you continued anyway so you could make sure we all really got your point about women not being fighters. In real world wars. Historically. As a feme person one of the things I like about this space is we usually don't have to deal with stuff like this. Its usually pretty chill. Except that we're finding more and more that that isn't really true. Or at least that it varied a LOT in different regions and societies. Anyway, its a fantasy setting. I personally always want more women. Women are cool.

That Necromunda model really looks like it could be a Cites character who lives in the sewers and hunts skaven, using their own technology (the weird staff) and catching/taming their rats.

They know what they're doing to us. They aren't just giant rats, but specifically have some of teh classic Skaven design features. Its really pretty funny.

we don't know anything about them though. Maybe they're highly intelligent and value knowledge above all else? Maybe something has happened that has made them see the value of protection in the form of allies? Maybe they trade all the time? We have no idea. What we do know is that they didn't attack or act hostile toward the people in that story. They simply watched and observed. That suggests at least an interest in understanding. Aside from that, what makes Order factions Order? Is it just being able to lie in cities with each other? Insects are extremely orderly.

Yeah. Its amusing, but not insulting or anything. Just a reflection of different experiences. I WISH we had a good rail system! I don't have a car but I can get around my city just fine. Leaving the city? Its a nightmare, even to get to places only a few hours a way.

I don't personally actually care. Limited models aren't my thing. I'm just really... amused(?) by the people who don't live here and don't get how big the country is. 150 stores seems like a lot when you live in a tiny country. We have more Starbucks than that in my city. Similarly, telling someone to just schedule ahead is just... I'm going to stick with amusing.

I can't really afford take a day off and rent a car and drive an 8+ hour round trip to the next state to buy a $40 miniature. Most people I know can't. You all don't understand how big the US is. Some people are lucky and have a GW nearby. A lot of people don't.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here at all. Are you not aware that people are buying both new and old models for TOW? Do you think thats not happening? Do you think the only people playing are old player with old armies. Because thats certainly not the case.

I'm seeing the opposite. Lots and lots of people buying AOS Chaos, DoK, Lizardmen, Orcs (both kinds), Goblins and SBGL. plus the current Dark Elf, Skaven, Ogres, Beastmen, Dwarves and the recently discontinues High Elves and Empire units. These kits have been selling out everywhere and fetching absurd prices. Locally I know about a dozen people (including myself) scrambling to purchase models. A few of us are doing 3d printing, but most of us want to use the official models because we love them. For some of us that means ancient models, for others its brand new AoS models. In addition to that, I don't know anyone who has stated TOW who already had an army.

Are you sure about that? It seems unlikely to me. WHFB had already been around for years before Berserk was first published, and that was in Japanese. I never saw an English translation of the series until the early 2000's, and it didn't have an official English release till much later. It seems MUCH more likely that WHFB and Berserk were drawing ideas and themes from some of the same sources. Neither are particularly original, after all. Or maybe you know something I don't? I'd be interested to hear. Its certainly not impossible that someone at early GW was getting imported manga and was a fan of the series long before it was available in English/\.

They did clarify before the release of the product. We knew what factions were coming to The Old World months before it was released. Similarly, "not for the foreseeable future" only means that they won't confirm that these armies are coming until they officially announce them. GW doesn't discuss what armies they're releasing in the future. Its clear that at some point there were plans to include these two armies. Those plans obviously changed. We found that out when GW announced which armies would be included in The Old World. They've been very clear.

Hi. Growing up I always dreamed of having a Dark Elves army and playing WHF. Now that TOW is here I've started building one (and I'm having so much fun!). But I'm having trouble finding this Sorceress on Cold One. If anyone has one I'd be happy to pay a reasonable price.

Is there a consensus yet on how to handle Murderous?

Can anyone suggest a good source for movement trays? Im in the US.

I never got to play fantasy. None of my friends were interested when I was younger. So I'm building the Dark Elves army I always wanted. Its a mix of modern and older models, which is proving to be a lot of fun.
