Yeah I think it’s not gonna happen. Abraxia it is, with maybe a Skaven thrown in to tease 4th. A bit like how they released Illuminor Szeras just before the Necron refresh in 9th.

Everyone is doing their predictions for AoS4, so it's my turn now. I think the key here is to reign in the excitement. Not everyone will be getting a morbillion new kits, in fact most factions will only get a hero. Here's my predictions : Order : SCE obviously CoS with a big wave 2. New flagellants, bombardier major, sub-marshal, steam tank replacement, more human stuff. Maybe marshall Thorian is she survives the current campaign. LRL : small wave. They'll need the river mage and spirit to complete the river temple. Since they're likely keeping Tyrion and the heaven temple for something bigger. FS : small wave. They've had some kits recently, but they need something that isn't a generic foot hero. Few units and a named character would do great. Sylvaneth : small wave. Will GW expand Kurnothi ? Probably but it's left to see if this goes beyond a single foot hero. Chaos : Skaven obviously Chorfs obviously Nurgle : small wave. I do think the harbringer of decay is teasing something. BoC : either they go out without a replacement, or they go out with a replacement wave of "new AoS beastmen™". Death : NH : they always get a little something (beyond the generic hero) each edition. SBGL : small wave. Get rid of some WFB sculpts (grave guards) OBR : small wave. They're the only big Death faction that hasn't had a release in a while. Destruction : GSG : they always get a little something (beyond the generic hero) each edition and rumours of Gitmob/armoured trolls are floating around. Mawtribes : big wave. They're the only big Destruction faction that hasn't had a proper update. I think the new gorgers hint at it happening. Everyone else, you either get a hero, a Warcry band or both. I think it's best to keep our expectations not absurdly high, like not all factions will be getting lost of new stuff. Also btw I didn't include Malerion because I think he's kept for AoS5.

Sad that good things (for us and our love of leaks) must come to an end, but if you can’t continue to leak stuff because it threatens your job in the wargaming industry where it’s obvious you work, then it’s ok. We’ll remember you.

Thinking it'll be the same situation as with Marines last year - lots of kits will be replaced (like jump pack Intercessors replacing assault marines) or just gone forever (RIP Land Speeder, you will forever live in our hearts). If GW can trim the fat of Marines aka their cash cow, they can do it for SCE. Anfd if the rumours are true and they are merging/pruning Skaven warscrolls (RIP censer bearers), it can happen for SCE too (ffs GW just do a single "Dracothian Guard" warscroll, no one uses the 3 that aren't Fulminators anyway).

This new rumourmonger really be cooking, we’re lucky to have him in TGA. He complements Whitefang well. I like these new SCE wings.

Let's be crazy, get 2 war machines : one for humans, one for dwarfs.

Talking about cogforts and all the potential future CoS war machines made me think : what if GW uses CoS to do a war machine that's an hommage to the unreleased dawrf tank from WFB8 ? After all, Disposessed are still in CoS and since they appeared in Dawnbringers, I think they're gonna stay !

He seems to be wearing thunderstrike armour. The fur on the shoulders is nothing new, some SCE already have some (imperatant, vanguards) but the halo/collar looks new. Overall not that different from other SCE.

One thing that just popped into my mind is that the word Ruination refers to a chamber of SCE yes but also carries a reference to the Skaven magic lore of Ruin.

Guys, what if the 12th Dawnbringers faction was Skaven ? So far we have had Nurgle (1), GSG (2), Fyreslayers (3), FEC (4), Warclans (5), CoS (6), SCE (7), Sylvaneth (8), SBGL (9), DoK (10), StD (11). It looks like daemon Khul is becoming less likely, but there's still an empty spot. What if Skaven were to take it ? As a teaser of what will happen in 4th ? Also reinforced by this :

Could you please give us a quick rundown of what it says ? Pretty sure most people here don’t speak Spanish. As a native speaker of a Latin language I can make out a few keywords, but I’m definitely missing 99% of the text here, and probably other users are too.

Remember that fake rumour about an IDK warband made of disgraced Akhelians becoming foot soldiers and taking the aspect of sharks and anglerfish ? I do… Whatever happens, I’m sure IDK will get a warband soon. Only factions without a Warcry band are Slaanesh, Skaven, KO, Sylvaneth, GSG, Beasts, IDK (Sons are apart so I don’t know). They’ll get some in the future for sure.

My take on launch box (what I 100% think will be in it) : 10 liberators, 20 clanrats, 1 grey seer, 1 clawlord, new leaked weapons team Other which I think will happen but I don’t wanna be more specific else I’m gonna be wrong : SCE melee hero, SCE caster, SCE elite unit, SCE centerpiece (can be a big hero or a monster), Skaven “elite” unit, Skaven centerpiece (monster or war machine).

Totally gonna change the subject but talking about who the OBR will be facing in the next Warcry box : - Sylvaneth are hinted at in books as specifically facing OBR in the Gnarlwood and GW is really hinting at Kurnothi rn. - IDK because of some dubious RE and because TGA really wants it to happen. I do think it’s gonna be Sylvaneth…

I had the exact same thought this morning ! Random thoughts like that… But when I saw people were proposing Vermintide as an alternative, I thought “yeah it sounds great, but the Vermintide name carries such a baggage, it’s probably better.”

I don’t believe the OBR are facing the Deepkin unless Whitefang proves it otherwise. As much as I want it to happen, the rumours for an IDK warband are just guesswork from dubious RE.

One can hope but looking at how unexpected this OBR warband was, I think the better thing is to wait and see what happens. Better not to hype yourselves for IDK or Nurgle or whatever and be disappointed when the warband turns out to be something else entirely.

OBR needed some new stuff to beef up their roster, a Warcry band is definitely a step in the right direction while waiting for a future BT.
