  1. I know right… maybe they squatted the Rogue Idol so they can replace it with something -AWSOME- as our centre piece?
  2. I think the kit actually holds up quite well. There’s a lot that I like about, the way it goes together and joins for example are great, no need for sprue glue or liquid green stuff here - contrary to the new saurus. The poses and sculpts I think make them nice and simple to paint albeit they could do with some more variety for sure. They look like proper orks, they aren’t too busy with mountains of cloth or stuff. I’m not entirely sure on GWs logic on refreshing kits - Khorne Berzerkers I always believed to be a popular kit - they waited over twenty years for their refresh? I’m currently working on a small 1000pt Bonesplittaz army using the underworld warband to provide me with the hero’s I need. I do hope we don’t go the way of the dodo.
  3. OK so looking at this Morboys are better in pretty much all circumstances, albeit it’s fairly marginal. That said, if you have 10 Morboys v 10 Stikkas (assuming you can get them all into range) the Morboys would be significantly better. I guess the only other consideration is that Stikkas have a slightly better save? And they don’t need to consider weapon range so much / so positioning is less vital and I guess in units of 20 Stikkas are the only sensible option.
  4. I for one am very pleased you’re not in charge of the studio.
  5. Would love to see me some more Bonesplitterz, albeit I suspect that is incredibly unlikely.
  6. Looks like the preview today has answered this question for both of us then! 😂
  7. So whilst not a rules question per se… it contains rules and it is a question question? Do we have any idea when the new handbook will be released?
  8. So been working on my first list and pondering various abilities and battalion effects etc. I came across two rules which kind of do a similar thing and happen at a similar time. I was hoping to get some guidance on how this works out (I think maybe I’ve already discovered the answer in the core rules this evening) but it would be good to hear it confirmed or any other opinions. So with the new GHB we have a Gallentian Command Battalion that consists of a Gallentian Champion and Infantry unit. And it bestows the following benefit: In a Bonesplitterz force one of our Gallentian Champions is a Savage Big Boss who has a rule called Let Me At Em: So I was thinking that both of these abilities allow specific units to fight directly after the Savage Big Boss has fought. So can you only do one or both? I.e you could activate the Sworn Bodyguard unit to fight if eligible and then straight after activate another unit using Let Me At Em. I think you can do both… effectively chain three unit attacks? And in your order of choosing if the core rule below applies? Does any of that make sense or am I talking nonsense? Thanks for your help in advance.
  9. Thanks for the advice, I’ve actually gone and rejigged the list. It’s not meta that’s not what I’m aiming for, but I don’t want to be a push over. I’ve lost a big stabba but I can handle that, I’ve got something just as orky now. Idea being that with the pre-game move, deployment range of Ravenaks Gnashing Jaws I could potentially get it off first turn and launch it into the enemy’s deployment for fun. 10. Well it appears my list will be too expensive following latest GHB wave of points increases. +15pts to the Big Boss +5pts to each of the Morboys 30pts over… with no real way to shave, scuppered before I even started.
  11. You been on the fungus beer? Welcome aboard!
  12. I love a good diorama, being able to capture a moment in time, in miniature is an art unto itself. It requires a whole host of skills as well, terrain and things like that! Good luck and I hope you find some green fungus based inspiration. 👍
  13. Welcome - oh interested in Cities of Sigmar (they are pretty cool from a lore perspective) not sure about rules, but as others have said rumour has it that they are due to be rehashed pretty soon. Exciting time to be getting into them!
  14. Haha, I appreciate the sentiment but I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing! I mean there’s not a great deal of variety in the Bonesplitterz sub faction limiting potential pitfalls. I really enjoy a good blog as well, hoping it will keep me motivated, been thinking about getting back into Warhammer for sometime and I need to pull my finger out and get this starter list built and start playing again.
