  1. This is all my theory/specualtion but I legit think they dont really do roadmpas because of investors. If investors knew the launch dates of things then their stock value would be everywhere. Theres also the case for investors dont liking unfulfilled promissed but as long as youre making enough money they dont really care. I think its mostly the first reason tho but thats just me.
  2. Oh trust me, they said that 40k was anemic compared to AoS. A LOT. You couldnt go to any AoS announcement without people going "did GW forgot about 40k?" or something similar. Thats that nature of this model of release sadly, one side is always going to look drier that the other.
  3. Still called guardians. IIRC they are from 3rd edition so between 1998 and 2004 so yeah, roughly 20 years. Most of the eldar range is either from 3rd or from 4th so almost all of them are 20+ years old. Thats even a joke on some 40k circles, where they joke "Remember Bill Clinton? The eldars do"
  4. Its more like "its still december 2". Its not like christmas is tomorrow. We havent even had the first weekend of december yet
  5. Tbh, have Seraphon ever been show to use this kind of gear mechanism? Cause I sincerely dont remember that from the artworks Ive seen. It also doesnt help that the whole white shell plus red crystals are VERY eldar
  6. Rumors can take a long time to happen. All Im trying to say is, even tho it could have non eldar rumors we shouldnt expect non eldar rumors, you know? Just to avoid future dissapointments. I would love non eldar 40k rumors and non 40k rumors to also be present but Im ready for it being just eldars. You know, the whole "lower your expectations" stuff.
  7. Apparently the eldar refresh is supposed to be MASSIVE. Like, almost an entire new army worth of new models. I wouldnt be surprised if all the 24 slots are for eldar. You have to consider they can do more than 1 rumor for a model or unit. They can do 2 or more rumors for 1 model, 2 or more rumors for different models in a unit etc. But its true, there could be some non eldar rumors.
  8. Um, not sure where I talked about malicious intent? But yeah, that would make sense in the "aos year - 40k year" logic. Last year was aos, 2019 was more focused on chaos in 40k etc
  9. True, old ones are still relevant to aos. But the combo of that + the rest of the text + all the eldar leaks going on + the border, Id say its looking like theres a good chance you'll be dissapointed. We might get some AoS stuff on the best of cases but it looks like the bulk of rumors are going to be eldar at least.
  10. Apparently they are talking to the eldar discord and they are having an advent calendar of leaks on the eldar reddit. Seems like its not coincidence at all
  11. The text also seems to indicate its all eldar this month: "Welcome to the Advent Engine, a gift from the Old Ones that helps us see the future. For the next 24 days, it will send us an image of a hopeful tomorrow" Old ones are 40k slaans. They were the ones who created the eldars etc. Hopeful tomorrow also connects a lot with the idea of eldars trying to rebuild their society. Thats not counting the border. Theres a good chance we might just see Eldar for the whole thing so maybe dont expect a lot of AoS
  12. I dont think its salamanders tbh. They arent one of the big chapters to get any non character exclusive mini and I dont really see them getting a new character rn. I would love a new Tu'shan but I dont think thats it. Frankly I have no clue what this is but I feel thats not Salamanders sadly
  13. The part that made me excited was "Expect new miniature reveals and maybe even a little cult uprising on the Warhammer Community website this week". The fact they talked about revealS plural made me hopefull, especially since they even named Maggotkin. Fingers crossed for more AoS stuff
  14. Yeah, its been a weird time. And the drought only looks worse in comparsion when you consider last year and when you compare it to current 40k. Funnily enough last year people in 40k were mad because there was "too much AoS". I hope that gw learns from this and learn how to balance the releases better instead of having "40k years" and "AoS years"
  15. Oh yeah, for sure. Im sure AoS got hit the hardest by covid and other things like the problem with the dragons. Im not complaining tho, I was just explaining to that person how we are currently with announcements and rumors, a little bit on the dry side. But hey, we never know. A leak might come out tomorrow or the advent rumor calendar might be full of AoS.
  16. Well, this level. We know nurgle is coming and thats all. In 40k we know the next 3 codexes oficially and we have that leak that is, iirc, 100% right as of rn in predicting everything thats has come to 40k. Meanwhile we get the eventual 4chan leal with a pick of the usual wishes (plastic boc, chaos dwarfs etc)
  17. If they dont announce ogor summer with a drawing of an ogor with shorts, a face full of sunscreen and drinking some coconut water Im gonna riot
  18. Well, khorne has chaos warriors of khorne and skullcrushers and tzeentch has regular chaos knights and those dudes flying on discs, right? Those are all mortal units. And slaanesh seems to have some kind of mutaded marauder from the trailer? That leaves only nurgle as a army without a heavily mutated mortal unit as of rn.
  19. I dont think a split release is the reason why they are popular or they sold well. I say they sold well because of the number of people Ive seen buying them, and that includes non LRL players. Ive seen a lot of non LRL and even non AoS players that bought the "bonsai elves" or the "silly hat elves" because they really liked the miniatures. For GW it doesnt matter if you are a LRL player os just someone who bought a pack of wardens or a Light of Eltarion to show it online, a sale is a sale nontheless. And dont worry, Im not a "elf player". Heck, I dont even know what player I am tbh or even if I could become a player of anything considering how hard it is to get your hands on warhammer here in South America. I just said what I noticed talking to people online and especially with people that are starting in the hobby, thats all.
  20. Now then, considering the situation has been dealt with, back to rumors. Ngl I wouldnt be surprised by a new Lumineth book tbh. We are still missing 2 temples and Tyrion (gw better release him as a mini or I'll be on a plane to the uk the next day 🤣) And besides the lore reasoning, Lumineth seem to be a popular army that sells well. It sells well, people like them, they give painters a lot to work with, they look good for instagram pics, and they do good on competitive games. Ngl if we didnt had Stormcast Eternals I wouldnt be surprised if LRL wouldnt be our poster army, kinda in a similar boat to Sisters of Battle in 40k. Lumineth are just missing the presence on the lore and publications (for now?)
  21. Did I just miss them or are there no mortal units for nurgle? Like Im pretty sure Ive only seen demons.
  22. Today's article had a line that gave me hope for more stuff: "Keep an eye out for real dragons across the rest of this week, including Krondys and Karazai done up all nice by some expert painters, and an investigation into the dragons of Black Library." that could mean they still have more models to show, hopefully.
