  1. Looks good to me at achieving what you're aiming for (holding points and keeping units up) - my only question will be what will actually kill stuff? Not a lot in there has much firepower for clearing out a horde or a big unit that's a threat. Yndrasta may do okay, but seems a little swingy at times. I also wonder if the Lord Imperatant is worth all that much without heavy reliance on annihilators/vindictors. Currently only your unit of 10 vindictors will benefit from the 7" drop and they probably won't do too much damage on their own. (7-8 wounds on average against a 4+ save) I'd be tempted to try swapping out some of the battline units and Imperatant either for a greater shooting threat to trim down threats (e.g. some ballistas and an Ordinator) - or instead go for a unit of 10 evocators or a couple of annihilator units to deepstrike and keep things occupied and away from your objective holders.
  2. Looks really interesting, thanks! Two questions; how do the Annihilators perform compared to the Evos? And can you explain why the LA Tauralon as well as LAoGC? Always struggle to make the Tauralon work well, but would love an excuse to take him! Do the new monster rules make that big a difference?
  3. I'd love for SCE to get a beast-focused hero. Some sort of "Huntsmaster" to go with 3.0s monster-hunting themes that beefs up gryph-hounds and aetherwings, maybe makes them batteline, and can empower mounts a bit like the Imperatant does for Thunderstrike units...
  4. Ah 😅if only! They look fun to play but I'm a bit doubtful about their impact - it seems like that they're only likely to do a wound or two on set-up and a handful more if they make the charge before getting chewed up by MWs. I wonder if there's anything in running Annhilators in a 6. You'd fall foul of the new coherency rules till you lost a model, but you'd have a unit that's really hard to shift off a back objective, has a bit more bite in the combat phase and stands up better to mortal wounds.
  5. How was the positioning and charging? Sounds amazing but I wonder in practice how many units it'll be possible to tag with the drop-in damage, and how many times those charge rolls will be missed...
  6. Amazing, thank you! Really helpful! I hadn't appreciated that Praetors couldn't be used with the reserve ability Will have a think about the Lord Arcanum - you're probably right the list is lacking any sort of magic strength at the minute. It looks like sequitors might be unconditional battleline with the new tome if the leaks are right so may not be required in future... I'm most interested to see where Yndrasta has best value - sticking backfield and reviving/problem solving, or dropping in deep field and causing some havoc...
  7. Looks interesting - talk us through the strategy here?
  8. Good point - thankfully have 20 points spare so can upgrade both sequitors to vindicators for 2000 points exactly.
  9. Hey all, what are your thoughts on the list below? Would really welcome your thoughts! Aiming for something that's fun to play and play against, avoids cheese while still having a decent shot at a win. Basic strategy would be: Two blocks of 1 unit of sequitors and 1 unit of vindictors, supported by a ballista each, to hold back objectives and slowly move up. Lord Imperatant to baby sit, handing out mystic shield (using the arcane tome enhancement) and CAs. Yndrasta, praetors, annihilators, evocators and vexillor to drop in to the backline, neutralize any big threats and generally cause trouble (keeping the blob within 12" of Yndrasta and the Vexillor for the reroll charges, battleshock immunity and to revive models) Unit of Aetherwings to hang back and either steal objectives or block any key charges into sequitors/vindictors blobs if anything gets through. General Yndrasta 300 Leaders Lord Imperatant 160 (plus enhancement: arcane tome) Knight Vexillor with Apotheosis Banner 125 Battleline Vindictors (x1) 140 Vindictors (x1) 140 Sequitors (x1) 130 Sequitors (x1) 130 Units Annihilators (x1) 190 Evocators (x1) 225 Praetors (x1) 155 Aetherwings (x1) 45 Artillery Ballista 120 Ballista 120 Total Points 1980 Alternatively, could drop the ballistas and get the evocators up to 10 models for a bit more of a melee threat and better value off the revives from Yndrasta/Vexillor's banner. I'd be a bit worried that the battleline units would be sitting ducks though if the blob of death doesn't do it's job - not sure how long five-man battline units would hold up without some shooting threat to trim down attacking units...
