  1. That is how I had originally interpreted it, but started to double guess myself.
  2. For the artefact Drakescale armor, do D3 (and D6 really for that matter) damage weapons count as having a damage characteristic of 2 or more?
  3. I am wondering what purpose the Praetors serve here? The only two heroes worth protecting are Gardus and the LRelictor. But Gardus' ward can't stack with Praetors, and the LRelictor can either stay with Gardus or take the mirrorshield for protection from ranged. Is there some hidden tech I'm missing here?
  4. 1st List: You don’t necessarily need the Vindictors or Liberators because the Fulminators are battleline in HoS. The points could go elsewhere if you wanted. 2nd list: Don’t run Retributors in a group of 10. Their 1” range will prevent you from getting them all in to combat max Either run two groups of 5 retributors or 1 group of ten protectors. 3rd list: Honestly I’d skip the Retributors and bring the judicators up to x15. Then with the spare points upgrade one of the x10 Liberators up to Vindictors
  5. Again, this isn't tournament play. My opponent who is bringing lumineth is only bringing 20 sentinels, so odds are they won't be able to one-shot the raptors. Although I still appreciate the input. I'm just more focused on bringing a fun army rather than an army that will have the best chance of winning. That train of thought is why I brought KJudicator and Vigilors.. because they're cool! Sure not everything in my army is top tier, but I still brought the tools to potentially carry the day. Edit* Also the reason I didn't take Excelsiors is because 10x Protectors is probably not going to be outnumbered by enemy units, and if they are then they probably aren't what I want to be fighting. (Unless they are sentinels and in that case they are dead without the buff)
  6. Here's my list for my casual play with friends. Will probably change it up if it dominates too hard, although I will be fighting Teclis and 20 wardens so I doubt it. I wanted to take some of the top tier units but also throw in the Vigilors and Knight-Judicator in for fun. My main downsides of the list? No spellcasters (so no unbinds) and a lack of heroes. I went with the KJudicator as a general because I needed another battleline unit but still needed to fit into a Battle Regiment, hence the reason why I didn't downgrade the Vindictors into 2 x5 units. My main question here is, should I go with Unleash Thy Hatred or Thunderbolt Volley? If I go with Unleash I certainly want to combo it with Celestial Vindicators. If I go Thunderbolt volley I might go Celestial Warbringers to get the re-roll on the hero phase, shooting phase, and combat phase. And since the Raptors have fewer attacks, the 1 re-roll will be more valuable on them.
  7. I mean double dragon or knight-draconis will always be S tier as long as their points remain the same. I personally am a fan of the double celestar ballistas however. Any of the paladins will probably leave you with too many points to spend. Even annihilators with hammers is 240 which would leave you with 60 points left over
  8. Another question for the people. If I am running 6x Longstrikes and 10x Protectors, is it better to get a one drop army and try for the double turn or is it better to get an extra enhancement and go for both Thunderous Volley and Unleash Thy Hatred?
  9. So follow up question to that, would it be better to take 2 x5 Retributors or 1 x10 Protectors? (I imagine it will still be the Protectors)
  10. So I’m doing the finishing touches of my list and I was wondering which is better without context for the rest of the army: 1 x5 Liberators and 1 x10 Retributors or 1 x5 Vindictors and 1 x10 Protectors
  11. I’m pretty sure that maces are not the best specifically for Retributors because of the high damage and mortal wound output they have with 6’s to hit on their base weapons. I looked it over and that seemed to make sense, but I also was curious about Protectors.
  12. I know someone had said it was better to take the base weapons for Retributors instead of starsoul maces, but what about Protectors? Is it better to take Starsoul Maces on them or is it better to take the Stormstrike Glaives?
  13. Yeah I really, personally have a problem with the "If it's not the best, apparent thing in the roster, then it's trash tier mentality." Like we have had the book for 8 days now and people are already sighing away saying that if the roster can't consistently win tournaments then it's trash tier and you shouldn't buy/have any. I get that tournament play is the priority for some people, but that frame of mind is just disheartening to some of us who are just in it for fun. It all could just be phrased better.
  14. Hmm I think I just read the new text "and does not count as having been slain" and thought it was worded against working with cycle of the storm. But yes I think you're right.
  15. I'm pretty sure Cycle of the Storm got changed so it no longer double combos with slain model effects. So no big explosion when Karazai dies.
  16. Doubt it will change. And for friendly play I can't see why not proxy him.
  17. Hmm. Definitely keep the Relictor. Getting your concussors/stormdrake in early will be a boon, but then having the flexibility later in the game to maybe TP the raptors out of danger would also be clutch. I think that combined with his other prayers makes him a much better choice than the one pump chump vexillor. Even against an army without heavy magic, a guaranteed unbind against a mystic shield or greater spell can make the difference without a doubt. While getting that consistent +1 to save from the Lord-Castellant is very nice, denying it from the other player at a crucial moment can be just as good (and at a cheaper cost).
  18. Hey umm... Why does Nagash have the priest tag on the new Age of Sigmar app? Surely that must be a typo or mistake.
  19. Idk man, Skarbrand will more than likely get nuked in one turn by double tapping longstrikes. As long as you get him off the board with support from the Tauralon, you'll be fine
  20. Horrors of Tzeentch got changed in the most recent FAQ and it took a slight hit to their tanking power. The unit doesn't have to battleshock based on Pinks & Blues being killed, but you cannot return Pink Horrors to the unit if you could return models in some way. Rolling a 1 on battleshock no longer brings back d6 pink horrors (just brimstones), so Kairos can't have a pink horrors unit sit on an objective and be completely unkillable. They still are super tanky
  21. also does anyone know the timeframe it takes for Warscroll Builder to update their points/roster? I want to be able to use it again
  22. 10x Protectors (Unleash Thy Hatred)6x Longstrikes (Thunderous Volley) * i presume*
  23. Important to note, I don’t wanna play too competitive considering none of my local players are building tournament tier armies. So I took some units because I think they are neat Hammers of Sigmar Stormkeep Warlord & Vanguard Battalions Holy Commands: Call for Aid & Thundeous Volley Knight-Judicator (205) (general, don’t know command trait yet) Lord-Relictor (145) (translocation, mirror shield) Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear (320) Knight-Incantor (125) Vindictors x10 (260) Vindictors x5 (130) Vindictors x5 (130) Vigilors x5 (195) Raptor-Longstrike x6 (480)
