  1. I'm glad to hear SCE is doing well in tournament play. I was genuinely curious how it would turn out without the new models being released yet.
  2. Lord-Arcanum on Tauralon has his Comet Trail ability, which lasts until your next hero phase. There is no prerequisite to it other than the shooting unit must be within 3" of the Tauralon. LA on Tauralon also has better damage, equal wounds, better save, is a flying 14" monster/wizard for only 90 more points. And also can trigger Cycle of the Storm (watch @PJetski's Stormkeep video to see how/why it is good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qbwMyCH-ek&t=82s&ab_channel=TheStormkeep) If you are committing to Vigilors for the +1 to hit bonus, the you should fully commit and spend the extra 90 points to upgrade them to a Tauralon every time.
  3. Hey.. don't talk about my beautiful KJudicator like that
  4. It's best to compare them to Judicators, since the Vigilors are only 5 points cheaper Less damage than Juds Less range than Juds Target must take a wound in order to activate the +1 to hit (there are better/more reliable sources of +1 to hit) Overall they are too expensive for what they do, and there are better options for the point cost. I completely agree that the models look beautiful though.
  5. I bought one box right before I made the post. Mostly because I'm petrified of certain models getting the Bloodknight treatment and we won't have any non-scalped models for sale.
  6. FYI, Dracothion Guard and LA on Tauralon both went out of stock on GW’s site over the past two days. eBay is now really the only place to get them. And I doubt we’ll see any type of restock until the new models drop. So if you want Dracothion guard you might want to get them on eBay before they’re gone.
  7. Yeah all of that seems about right lmao. I have my own Archaon/Varanguard army but I was never confident enough in Varanguard to run a KotET list. But I was happy to see at least one non-Archaon list making the rounds. Hopefully we will see more diversity in SCE in 2022 than STD is seeing.
  8. Curiously enough, earlier in 2021/late 2020 I did see a Knights of the Empty Throne list make a few high tournament placements. I haven't seen it since 3.0 dropped.
  9. So... Does anyone have a potential list to make the Knight-Judicator work? I understand he is not good, but I really enjoy the model and want something to play with my friends. I was thinking something close to @PJetski's Hallowstrike, but swap out the Protectors for a KJudicator and a unit of x2 Fulminators. Thoughts?
  10. They have also power-crept the game to a much higher state. Sure they have taken steps to slow the growth, but have not reverted it in any significant way. No one has called you the bad guy and no one has criticized you for defending your point. We are disagreeing with you, and you seem to be taking it as a personal attack by assuming people are being intentionally disrespectful to you. I think this conversation has no where to go but downwards, so these will be my final words on the topic.
  11. I would be careful presuming you objectively know GW’s interests and disinterests based off a single FAQ. Even with the Archaon’s nerf to his rerolling 6s, I still feel like he is incredibly top tier (I still have like a 90% WR with him). So much so that he still dominates the meta alongside Lumineth, SoB, and DoK. Just because GW nerfed Archaon in the most recent FAQ does not mean they are interested in nerfing the top four factions down to an equal level. At least for sure it isn’t an objective truth. And there certainly is enough wiggle room to presume that someone else is not being toxic by stating otherwise
  12. I think it’s bad-faith you assume he isn’t treating you with a basic level of respect. I think we should just cool off. I don’t believe anyone here is intentionally trying to be rude or disrespectful. And we all just wanna talk about the game 👍
  13. Black Templars will have their Codex announced, preorders announced, and models shipped/delivered before Stormcast even has preorders announced.
  14. I've heard that it also has to do with the global shipping crisis. I've had a box of secondary market 40k models from china that has been sitting still since early July. And with no updates in sight, it could be a while before I get any type of product. I'm sure this has been affecting GW big time. As much as I am frustrated that we aren't getting our models, I'm not entirely sure it is GW's fault. So I'm gonna extend my patience and hope for the best.
  15. I mean to be fair Scions of the Storm is not great unless you’re specifically using Annihilators or using it to keep units alive from an alpha strike. It just doesn’t have the consistent, offensive potential that a first glance might suggest. And I don’t want to bring a Knight-Vexillor just for the 1/game TP. I think the main reason I don’t want Translocate to change is because it makes a lot of units competitively viable that wouldn’t be otherwise. I enjoy the (competitive) roster flexibility that Translocate brings to the battletome.
  16. Oh for sure. When I say viable, I strictly mean in tournament play.
  17. If Translocate is FAQ'd, then the vast majority of stormcast is no longer viable. Basically only Stormdrake guard lists would be viable.
  18. @PJetskiReally enjoyed the most recent episode. I was curious about your Hallowstrike list on two points: Which mount trait would you take for the Tauralon if (hopefully) they FAQ him? Would you consider running Drakescale armor on the Tauralon instead of Arcane Tome on the LRelictor? Or does that take too much away from scoring the battle tactic?
  19. I assumed this was the case because all of the triggers happen at the end of the movement phase, but it still is tricky.
  20. Here is a question about Annihilators (Both variants). Their warscroll states under Blazing Impact: "In addition, you can re-roll charge rolls for this unit if it was set up on the battlefield in the same turn." Would this work with Translocate? It is separate from the previous clause (D3 MW within 10") which procs when they are set up on the battlefield for the first time. So if I, for example, was to drop the Annihilators with Scions in on turn 1. Then on turn 2 I translocate them to another point on the map, would they get to re-roll charges? EDIT: Another question. If a Lord-Imperatant deepstrikes first with Scions, could he then guide a Thunderstrike unit that lands after him on the same turn?
  21. In the original post I was asking about Vindictors to Sequitors. Would it be more valuable to save the points for a triumph rather than upgrade them?
  22. Can you tell me what the name of this forum is really quick?
  23. If I have the extra 15 points in a list, is it worth upgrading Vindictors to Sequitors? I have nothing left to spend and was wondering if it is even worth it.
