Leylines getting smashed by Thrugg could be a point of interest for them as they need to "mend" the realms. -

For the courtiers, they could do something like Gobbapalooza\cities "command group" and make a plastic full court "unit". -

Drogrukh are the Kragnos folk....they are extinct in the lore though i think gw could make an interesting narrative to bring them back in the timeline. They already did with the Draconith (their eggs saved by the Seraphon) so i don't think is too far fetched. -

Still the first half of the next year is big enough to stuff another "battletome" before the 4th edition. But i really doubt, before the 4th ed starter they will churn out a new army(even if they already did in the past). -

We have plenty though?(other than the Silent People that were an underworld background footnote like Katophranes). -Grotbag (and Gitmob to some extent as they already exists in Snarlfang). -Malerion -Chorfs -Valay of the deeps(octopi duardin) and some others sea species. -Gholemkind -Dogrukh Also some expansion for already existing "microfactions" like deadwalkers and Firebellies. -

Just a random thought: what if the "lady of ruin" mentioned in the campaigns book is the lady of cankerwall for Nurgle?(the saint/lady of the order of the fly). Are'nt heralds a sign for greater characters to come? -

While i agree on no more heroes a special character as a face of the faction could be useful to sell them more (other a much needed miniature and troops wave). -

I'd love a Grimnir magmatic Avatar like the eldar one. As Grungni said Grimnir's return is still far and the set is not ready to bring that....but little avatar statues of Duardin majesty could be the way to empower his prowess in battle in a "new way"(maybe with some weapon options to differ his different aspects). Another monstrous cavalry centerpiece it would be redundant with the Droth so i'd prefer a new idea. Slayers need also a special character to give them more narrative potential....maybe the fyrequeen of the Lofnir(iirc?) Lodge on top of a beautiful war altar. I'm still mad that the war altar idea was "an option" during the 7th edition of whfb when the designers were creating the new dwarf range and still we got nothing.....Fyreslayer could embrace something like that (war altar of Grimnir). -

New edition is in summer so the 5th book will be very placeable in 2024 q1...they could even throw in a new army in between(if fec comes in winter). -

Bonesplitterz represents Gorkamorka unified while the other two side of warclans represents Gork and Mork. The underworld warband seems an experiment about some new ideas. The caveman style seems the way to go,it fits well the destruction as whole and the shamanistic side of them. I don't think gw will eliminate them, they're more integrated in the orruk lore and aesthethic than the cities elf/dwarf side in cos. Also bonesplitterz were not cobbled together with other orruk like the cities whfb armies were. -

I'm amazed,so there's still hope for our fiery cousins. Hoping the wave will be composed on similar beast centered ideas. -

I was thinking the same, ironkin popped up in 40k and Gholemkind have a suspicious similar name....imho even the design will be something similar to some extent. -

Considering narrative i think the next focus will be on ulgu,is the last realm left to explore and it would give many possibilities. Even chorfs have an outpost there. -

Chaos dwarves in the lore uses macines, demonic things like K'daii and monsters like lammasu and tauruses, they are already using machines and monsters so i don't think they'll get changed much. Also, considering the hashut warcry warband, i think we'll see some auxiliaries and slaves (greenskins and ogors, humans perhaps). Beasts of chaos are the opposite of them, they can't fit together: chaos dwarves is the evil of industry, beasts are the rejection of civilization, it would make not much senses. -
Considering Ironweld i don't think we'll see the dwarves completely expunged from cos tbh in any case. IDK the idea of a multi-species city army is neat and i like the lore about it....but seeing the dwarves go out to become something "autonomous" like Khazalid empire reborn or even a Lumineth-style-aos take on classic dawi would'nt make me sad either.

Unless Ossiarch are getting some love in the Harbingers books but i doubt, imho they will be back when the narrative will focus again on the eightpoints stalemate.
