  1. I want it to be a jabberslythe tongue, but what I want it to be is not necessarily what it's gonna be
  2. Probably just wishful thinking, but what if the FS tome is using the old artwork as a placeholder as the new artwork depicts a yet to be revealed new model?
  3. Yeah, so close yet so far to the dream of crab cavalry, or crabalry as is the techical term
  4. Crab?! Wake up crab! Don't go into the light!
  5. Without getting too deep. Painting minis is one of the few things I fee like I'm good at, so looking over my models and feeling pride brings me a lot of joy. Also having a physical object to keep and the end of a day's painting I find satisfying. Plus seeing my gradual improvement when comparing older models to my later models gives me a chance to see progress, which is hard to come by in day to day life. Also I just think Warhammer looks really cool when it's all painted up.
  6. Couldn't agree more, keeping track of the Sylvaneth rules is a nightmare at the moment, I'm starting a PtG campaign with them soon so a new tome coming would be a godsend.
  7. Any one of these has the potential for some awesome designs, I hope you're right!
  8. Any new gloomspite troggoth model is my dream come true, a wizard or behemoth troggoth would be the icing on the cake, when they announced "Age of the Beasts" I was expecting a steady announcement of new monsters for every army month by month. My hopes might have been a little optimistic...
  9. That's a good point, I didn't consider that they are the refreshed orks weirdly haha. The chunky Warhammer orc is so iconic though, but maybe they want to separate how orks look between 40k and AoS
  10. To be honest I think the Kruleboyz are the new destruction faction for this edition (though they got put into a souped battletome) I'm expecting a neglected army range refresh for summer and something completely new for the end of 2022
  11. For me, though I have recently started playing the game too, it's mostly about wanting new and interesting sculpts to paint. And since I like painting with bright and varying colour I end up wanting things like new trolls and tree-spirits as you can go crazy on them. A few more sea monsters for IDK and I'd be fully in to start a new army, and I think we'll get them. At minimum new crabs, I'm sure pound signs lit up in GW's eyes when they saw the reaction to Duinclaw.
  12. Yeah was good to catch up, hadn't seen most of them since I dropped out lol, I hope it's true too! Either way I was just happy to get some rumours, though Warhammer shares so many fantasy tropes with other IPs that it could be something totally different
  13. Hey, sorry I don't know them too well so would feel awkward asking, also if it turns out to be about AoS I don't wanna get them into trouble for sharing it. A lot of people from the course at least know of Warhammer though so I wouldn't be surprised if they played, we were all a pretty nerdy bunch
  14. Ah good point, I forgot dwarfs also use words like lobber, I was thinking big troll throwing lava but fyreslayers seems more likely what with the lava and all
  15. Yeah it might just be that I've got AoS on the brain after all!
  16. Hey all, I'm gonna bite the bullet and spread some rumours that I overheard whilst meeting up with some old uni coursemates over the Christmas period. Please note I have no idea if these are even Warhammer related as the person didn't directly say "Warhammer" or "Age of Sigmar" but some of the descriptions made my ears ****** up at the pub, you'll see what I mean I hope. Also I don't know the person very well so I was eavesdropping whilst also trying to remain part of a different convo so I missed a lot of the details, but I remember their end of year project being a collection of Zbrush sculpts of various monsters. Anyway so they were talking about projects they were working on and the person was asked if they had sculpted any cool monsters recently. Here are the bits I heard: - "Lava lobber" made me think orc/gobbo siege weapon, but since they were talking about monsters probably something different. - "Spite King" something about big wings and I'm sure i heard "behemoth" used... or maybe it was just "moth" idk. - Some kind of big corrupted monster with horns with a stone shard (herdstone maybe) impaled through it's chest, I didn't catch a name for that one. - "(blank) the Twisted" can't remember the name but described as a beast wizard with overgrown horns and hooves so much that he can't walk and has to be carried around in a big bird nest type thing. And that's all I heard! Again please take with a huge grain of salt as Warhammer was not directly mentioned. Just the mention of "lobber" made me listen in as a Gloomspite collecter. Also if anyone knows better and can stop me from getting my hopes up please do! Either way I'm looking forward to whatever this project they're working on turns out to be as it sounded pretty cool.
  17. Anyone hear anything about that old beasts of chaos vs gloomspite box rumour that was making the rounds a while back? I'm assuming it's been confirmed as a dud now we know the next box set
  18. Honestly I discount any leak calender that mentions Silent People, it's quite nice to have an instant indicator that confirms a rumour source is fake
  19. Damn, not a fan of when they put character models in these boxes, wanted the pick up the Sylvaneth one but already got Drycha. Would the Drycha sprue be an easy thing to sell if I picked up the box or is it not worth it?
  20. Throwing my guess in for the new destruction faction as being boglars as has been mentioned before, the email teaser banner front face looks pretty much the same as one of the few pictures I can find of them. Also the old white dwarf article also mentioned they ally with strange cyclopeon creatures (fimir) so everyone's a winner! Here's hoping we also get some whacky toad cavalry and a new plastic river troll hag!
