I had great much success and went 3 and 0, against bone reapers with arcon the black and loads of mortec guard and 2 crawlers and cataclysm, nasty fireslayers list with 2 blocks of harthguard -1 to wound 18 inch big lizard loads of hero's and gotrec... and a stormcast list with alot of msu big shield blokes and the star drake. So loads of different armys to test kill the grater rat race on (thankwell survived a round of combat against an angry dwarf also :D)

  4. What the photo actually shows is Role a 4+ to hit, (dice gets rolled) it's a 6, role a 4+ to wound (dice gets rolled) 1 no re-role... Dam...

The clawlord with Verminous Valour (free because he is a clawlord) will survive abit longer and he will be -1 to hit when near stuff (which he should be) not the biggest thing but if you are taking a 1000 point army can be fun to buff up clan rats to make them more than chaff... Carnt go wrong with giant rats as realy cheap screens...
  7. That thing is sweet can use it as a hellpit (same Base size) if you want to field it...
  8. I get your point, they are a cool model so should have good rules.
  9. I think it is more what a unit dose not just killing power... For example a doom wheel may kill the small 5/6 wound hero but it gets in the enemy armys face with 4d6x2 movement (with buffing) and stops there army advancing as it blocks movement up the board, so giving you an extra turn to get points as a simple example. The doom flayers in units of 2 would enable them to both attack with 2d6x2 hits before they die (eather rolling 7 or a dubble) or getting killed.. Making them like there older unit in fantasy Increasing there save to a 4 and getting +1 to save in combat would make them better...
  10. Love the doom wheel idear onl y slight add is to Make giant rats a bigger size of 12 and alow doom-flayers to be taken in units of 2 and alow it to be reinforsed... Make things interesting...

  12. Make the insanely rabbit ratogres a 6... And make the non mutated ones a 2... Then put the crown with the unit of 6... Dose over 30 Wounds normally... Grose
  13. That is how I started using it then started doing smaller sculpts and then did that one, fur is fairly easy to do making faces and jaws I found harder... Sounded like a back and ford till the 3rd battle round... Still enjoying 3rd edition?

  17. I had it left over from a magmic invocation box, converted the big lava thing to be a claw Lord on brood horror... Carnt use them now so it is my never die hellpit :)...
  18. Excuse my spelling.. Zeench with the extra spell on warlord battalion... Lots of good spells, buffing, endless spells and using them to send stuff through them (now) if a list has 5 wizards it's and extra 5 spells which is easy to do in lrl or Zeench. In the case of Zeench it adds to there summoning points which leads to it being op in that situation. I know everyone has an opinion on whether it is op but the points cost alone with just adding an extra wizard in effect should make it more than 45 points. With hero's costing normally over 100 points it's a saving and it just brings more bang for the buck the more wizards you have arround it. It needs a points change or a re wright or both. The subject topic is bias towards the feeling for the group but for its points it is op...

As the mutations are under hideous abominations (hellpit only) and the other is under big-big rat ogres (rat ogers only) I would say yes you can take both, no faq has said otherwise and it's like taking Verminous Valour on claw Lord (for free) and taking it as a command traits for you general as they are in different named boxes with the clan - hero only under that making them different. I played against a tzeetch list with this and it is op with them as the blue scribe has a re role to all spells spell bubble and if not like ninthmusketeer said a 2+, that and a warp chicken can turn the lowest die to the highest... You carnt get in 30 of them to dispell it and it is mostly used on turn one and they dispell it at the end due to something they have as well... So even if you do it comes back for the reasons stated above... Question though... If YOU cast it and it gets dispelled can the other player cast there cogs in that turn since it was dispelled in that turn (and you carnt cast it again that turn)?
