  1. I dont want to finish my sixpack first turn though .
  2. I agree with this. I also dont like being forced to build all options for msu. It made sense in whfb with horde units and siege style gameplay but i think it should have stayed there. A 5 model unit with full command just looks weird to me.
  3. Almost no downtime for both players can also be a good thing. I think it can result in a more dynamic and interactive experience.
  4. I started thinking about this while reading the double turn discussion. Would it be so bad if we ditch the IGOYOUGO thing and do alternate activations like in Warcry. I actually cant come up with a reason why it would be so bad. Alpha strike wont ever be a thing anymore. Gunlines would be less effective because of buffs/debuffs. I actually want to try this and see how it plays out. But i want to brainstorm how it would be implemented best. I want the books to be fully compatable with this. Things that roughly stay the same: Army/list building - I dont see a reason why this would have to change. Command points/abilities - I think there is no reason here to change to the dice system of Warcry. Starting player - Just do a roll off, it wont matter much anymore. Resolve abilities/ attacks like they would in AoS Battleplan/ setting up table/ scoring/ win condition Things that will have to change: Every unit gets 2 activation points. The warcry tokens are perfect for keeping track of things. Turn sequence 1. Start of battle round -Both players receive command points 2. Hero phase - Alternate activations between players - Doesnt use an activation point 3. Activation phase - Alternate activations between players - Use command abilities only on your own activation turn unless its a command ability that can only be played as a reaction like all-out defence. 4. Battleshock phase -Stays the same 5. End of round - Both players are out of activations - Both players agree on passing the next turn Things u can do using an activation point: -Move -Run -Pass -Use a spell (opponent can try to dispell like normal) -Charge, Pile in and Attack -Attack like normal (opponent can attack back for free) -Attack when in combat or do a shooting attack -Free Monster Rampage after a succesfull charge with a Monster -Interact with objectives/terrain/garrisons -Retreat (-use artifact? not sure if it should be free) Would u play this? Did i forget something mayor? Please comment i want to know if this could be something. Thanks!
  5. My unpopular thing of the day. Bring back the wood elves. I think their playstyle of hit and run tactics will do better in the aos gameplay. Want Eagles. Want Wardancers warcry box.
  6. I guess its fair, destruction stole a centaur god from beast of chaos :p.
  7. Haha yes this made me think about buying another one XD.
  8. If they are Silent People they are from Ghur with links to Beastgrave/Direchasm/other mountains. Would make a lot of sense in the era of the beast. It also fits with the first trailer, it could be about them hibernating. Edit: i've also wondered why the arachnarok is a monster in warcry, made no sense to me unless they had the spider theme planned already.
  9. Silent people joining the Spiderfang in worshipping the Spider god ! ! ! Keeping the Spiderfang dream alive.
  10. The old O&G army had way more character than any army in AoS. Gobbos shooting gobbos with wings. Squigs running wild around the table. Animosity / Stupidity. Orcs being tough like chaos warriors. Gobbos and Snotlings being silly yet frightening in their own way. All kinds of artillery. Foot of gork stomping friend and foe. It was pure madness and i loved it. I miss the feels of that army.
  11. I'd run something like this. All the fun gitz stuff and some good looking models imho. Got some of everything to get used to the rules. LEADERS Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig (110) - General - Moon-cutta UNITS 12 x Squig Herd (160) 10 x Squig Hoppers (180) 1 x Boggleye (38) 1 x Brewgit (38) 1 x Shroomancer (38) 1 x Spiker (38) 1 x Scaremonger (38) 3 x Fellwater Troggoths (155) or 3x Rockgut Troggoths (145) BEHEMOTHS Skitterstrand Arachnarok (200) (or a Dankhold Troggoth (190)) TOTAL: 995/1000 WOUNDS: 94
  12. If it is a pushfit model it will be pinned to the base. Hope it doesnt have wobbly Lady O issues though.
  13. Thanks! Do u also know whats better in Harrowdeep compared to others? I try to keep an open mind.
  14. I second this. I would have bought anything bonesplitterz or ironjaws so fast my shadow couldnt keep up. I'm skipping kruleboyz. They should have released the troggoths within gloomspite gitz.
  15. I sense a negative vibe around Harrowdeep from the community. Can anyone tell me why? I guess the price is a bit high but is there anything else wrong with it? I'm still looking forward to buying it as my entry into underworlds. I plan to use it with a few warbands i already own and treat it as a boardgame.
  16. Isnt the 95 dollar harrowdeep cost way higher than direchasm? Dont know how much it will be compared to euros.
  17. That huge athel loren symbol though! Guess ill have to wait a bit for gitmob grots.
  18. Me waiting for Kurnothi rumours like... Did we ever have any confirmation from GW that they are thinking about ever rereleasing wood elves in any way shape or form? Ever since they released Qulathis the Exile from Cursed City i at least need a new unit of glade guard lookalikes in my life.
  19. Thanks. Dont think CoS would work within 1000p and these models though. Or do i miss something?
  20. I want to ask u all how to finish this list up to a 1000 points. I dont know much about Sylvaneth. Do i have to buy the woods and more dryads for summoning? I dont want to spend a ton of money on extras or situational stuff at the moment if i dont have to. I am just looking for something that doesnt get stomped to hard. I like to put some wood elves in for the whfb feels. LEADERS Qulathis the Exile (100) Branchwych (90) UNITS 20 x Dryads (190) 5 x Wild Riders (120) - Allies TOTAL: 500/1000 WOUNDS: 40 (already own these models) I was thinking about adding a Warsong Revenant and Kurnoth Hunters with bows for the last 500 points. Would this be any good at all? Thanks!
  21. What if it has something to do with the Whitefang picture. Could be Firebellies vs Nighhaunt ships! (i do remember hints towards deepkin)
  22. Could this be the same model or maybe warband?
  23. First, i agree with the fun police part 100%. I do want to make a comment on competitive play. It can be horrible/toxic for introducing new people into games. I used to be good at MtG and also started a group with 2 friends that ended up with 20+ players. And unless they ask for it i would never pick a tournament deck vs a new guy. The same reason u dont put someone who trained karate for a week vs the mma world champion. They will get destroyed and it will chase away new players. It is just a whole other game some people are playing. This seems logical but i have seen it go wrong many times when people just assume you are on the same level. Not everyone is in this hobby to be the best general they can be, they might be more into painting or collecting. Kindness and patience goes a long way for recruiting new players. Edit: I also dont want to refer to "Those Guys" as "Those Guys", they have their own reason for comming to a store and i guess they also have fun in their own way. If u get banned u are just a ****** and u probably had it comming. And highly competitive players should just play their lists against other competitive lists imo, their is no reason to try a competitive list vs a newbie in any way.
